SkyPixel is one of the biggest drone-lover communities, where both professionals and amateurs are able to share their works with the world. Recently, they held a contest to announce the best aerial pictures of the year 2017 and the winners actually took our breath away.
The competition was open to two main groups of participants: professionals and enthusiasts. The winners were announced in three categories (landscape, portrait, and story), excluding the Grand Prize. That went to Florian Ledoux, a wildlife photographer, who was lucky enough to capture the amazing moment of a Polar bear crossing between two pieces of sea glacier. The winner also raised some serious topics by sharing his work. "I hope we will still be able to see the Arctic wildlife as we do now," writes Florian below his winning picture. "It is threatened as the environment is changing. I was able to witness many scenes of wildlife and I can guarantee you this is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen."
Not that long ago we were delighted to explore the best drone images announced by Dronestagram. This time, let’s scroll down to enjoy the masterpieces that the SkyPixel community have shared with us.

I live for these types of photographs of people and places around the world. It's the reason I started traveling for a living. There are so many things, people and places going on that I want to experience, meet and see and it's all happening at this moment. The world is a beautiful place.
I like all of these photos except the last one. I looked at the lobster farm for a long time. I wonder how it looks from the ground.
Jef I'm curious why you don't like the lobster farm photo. Is it just not pleasing to your eye? I like it because it gives me an idea for a creative project but i also like the colors but beyond those things the lobster farming is pretty much what drives the Vietnamese economy. In the city that photo was taken shrimp and lobster are their main source of income https://www.vietnambreakingnews.com/tag/lobster-cages/. I thought it was kind of interesting. I love love love all creatures and think I'd be vegan if I had to kill anything myself but I just like to learn things. I thought you might want to look at it from this perspective. :-)
