This FB Group Has Been The Hub For Roasting Awful Dresses, Here Are 50 Of Them (Best Of All Time)
I must confess, I’ve made some questionable fashion choices over the years. I don’t cringe at them the way I used to; instead, I just laugh and call my 2010s style ‘camp.’ Still, I’m thankful none of my more disastrous outfits ever made it online.
These poor dresses, on the other hand, weren’t so lucky.
They’ve had their moment in the spotlight on the Facebook group aptly named ‘You can’t just slap some fabric together and call it a dress.’ We feel a bit sorry for how much attention they’ve drawn, but we couldn’t resist putting together a best-of-all-time compilation of the ones we’ve featured on Bored Panda.
Scroll down to reminisce with us and upvote the looks you think deserve the title of the most hideous!

Weird Looking Clothing
You might be laughing at these ridiculous fashion statements now, but I’m sure many of you have had those late-night flashbacks to an embarrassing wardrobe choice—maybe from your 2007 prom. No judgment, I’ve been there, too. But according to experts, there are ways to ease the emotional reaction to things that happened long ago.

Understanding why we get embarrassed in the first place might help you feel better. And don’t worry, it’s not because the universe enjoys seeing us suffer for a laugh. Researchers suggest that embarrassment evolved as a way for our ancestors to repair relationships after unintentionally breaking social norms.

We Might Need A New Group Called “You Can’t Just Slap A Stuffed Animal On It And Call It A Dress”

Historically, those who felt distress over how others perceived them were more likely to remain part of the group, which was crucial for survival. If you didn’t care about your social standing, you risked being ostracized—or even killed. Feeling embarrassed helped patch things up with those you may have wronged and ensured you learned from your mistakes. And, let’s be honest, it’s still useful in some situations today.

Not Covering Her Face Bc She’s A Model But Cmon Now Shein What The Hell Is This
This reminds me of those long tshirts or aprons that feature and image of a voluptuous woman in a bikini. Except that those are intentionally humorous.
But here’s the thing: while embarrassment can help us learn and grow, dwelling on old memories doesn’t do much for personal progress. We can get stuck replaying those moments in our minds, allowing them to take up too much space until it stops being helpful.

I Don't Understand Boutique Clothing. Who Would Wear This And Where Would They Be Going And Why The F*** Would Anyone Pay Over $3000 For Horribly "Reworked" Levi's?!?!

“Focusing on the negative experiences increases our unwanted emotions, which makes us see more negative things until they’re all we see,” says clinical psychologist Elizabeth Lombardo, Ph.D., author of Better Than Perfect: 7 Strategies to Crush Your Inner Critic and Create a Life You’ll Love. “It’s like pushing on a bruise. It doesn’t feel good and it prevents healing.”

However, research suggests that focusing on the details of a painful memory—like what you ate or wore that day—rather than how it made you feel, can help break the cycle of stress these memories create.
In a 2014 study led by psychologist Florin Dolcos, Ph.D., at the University of Illinois, participants recalled their most painful memories while undergoing brain scans. When they focused on neutral details—such as where they were or what the weather was like—the emotional centers in their brains calmed down, and they reported feeling less distress.

Load More Replies...Well lets hope not because there is no way they are going to the loo.
Load More Replies...This is trying so hard to be high fashion that it even fails to be a dress.
Hmmm. I live in Canada and my long winter (fake) down filled coat looks a lot like this; except it has sleeves and a hood. The damn thing is so bulky I have to slide the driver seat back to get into my car. Then I press the button to reset the seat to where it needs to be to reach the pedals, which (obviously) I can’t see because the coat’s in the way. Then I get way too warm because I’m basically sitting in the car in a duvet.
What would happen if someone just walked up to her and pushed her over? She looks like one of the Red Queen's chess pieces...
Oh Man…
This method is far more helpful than our initial reaction to painful memories, which is often to suppress them. However, that approach frequently causes the emotions to resurface even stronger and more negatively. Instead, by allowing ourselves space to acknowledge the memory, we can decrease the stress it triggers.
I Don’t Understand “Fashion” These Days
Ummm, No. LOL
So why not try this experiment on yourself right now? Think of a cringy memory—the one you really hate, perhaps the day someone embarrassed you in front of your crush in high school. Now, reflect on what else was happening that day. What did you do? What music were you listening to at the time? How was your school day? Did you run into that one teacher you loved or the one you couldn’t stand? If you’re no longer feeling like you want to claw your eyes out, chances are you’re on the right path!

What In The Happy Hell Is Going On Here? (Phaedra Parks)
Whatever it is, it doesn't look comfortable! I always assume when things like this don't fit right (too high cut briefs or too small bra/bikini cups etc) they have to be designed by men.
For Your Consideration… Some Of This Is A Photoshop Fail, Admittedly

I keep seeing prints like this on "fast Fashion" sites--hopefully that means the trend will be over fast!
I Am Plus Size And Like Compliments….this Dress Is Not For Me
I came to the conclusion some months ago that fashion designers have a deep hatred for people. I see no reason to change that opinion.
Yep. It's obvious some designers wants to see how ridiculous they can make people look, knowing that there's always going to be some delulu clown out there who will buy it.
Load More Replies...So much of what I see on runways and red carpets these days looks like it came right out of the Frederick’s of Hollywood catalog, stripper edition. Designed by people who think they’re creating wearable “art” (far from it), or who are trying to be noticed by creating clothes for their shock value, and not their wearability. Whatever happened to elegance, to class, to looking great and totally at ease, instead of uncomfortable and scared to death of making a sudden move that might expose everything? Whatever happened to clothes on runways that look like something a normal person would actually wear? Where are the beautiful fabrics, the flattering cuts, combined with comfort and wearability, clothing that you feel absolutely wonderful in? Why are we being shown s**t that cheapens us and lowers our credibility? Why are we not being shown clothing that makes us feel absolutely great and confident about ourselves?
I'm grateful that men don't have to suffer so much nonsense in this area. BTW, they're not "of all time", just the worst "so far". You have no idea how bad it might get in the future.
I feel sorry for the poor models that had to wear some of these things. They must be thinking “This is NOT what I was dreaming of”. And I feel horrified for the women who wore some of these in public thinking that they looked good. Oh my…
Wow.....but who's the real idiot? The designer or the people who buy this absurdities?
My wife is a former model turned fashion designer. Most of these images would make her physically ill.
Women are allowed to wear less, but if something doesn't have enough fabric to form a dress, it's not a dress.
Women should not think they need to be half naked to look good. Just perpetuates the myth that we are nothing but sex objects.
Load More Replies...I will never understand the idea behind fashion shows that showcase weird clothing like this--WHO ACTUALLY WEARS THIS STUFF??? Definitely good for a laugh or smh, but so my WHY? going on in my head
it should go without saying but please do not buy from shein or anything similar, their stuff is trash and fast fashion is generating far more waste than actual clothing that people will wear for more than a day.
I wish I had the money to buy all of these dresses. Obvs wouldn’t buy this s**t in a million years I just wish I had the money.
