It’s Movember folks! Movember and No-Shave November are two great causes which help to raise awareness, by growing facial hair for a month, of critical men's health issues such as prostate and testicular cancer, as well as suicide and depression.
Apart from the obvious benefits of getting blokes talking about the issues that affect them the most, this month is a great time to ditch the razor and let the beard roam free, which might turn you into one sizzling hot guy afterward. We here at Bored Panda decided to ask our bearded men bros to send in their pics from their before and after beard journeys, and we were overwhelmed by the response!

I've always thought that beards can simply make men look older. What a mistake! Some of those guys were 100% cooler with a beard! It's so strange how some facial hair can change completely one's aura. That was one cool list.

It is interesting to see, that the photos without beards show more individual characters than compared to the zeitgeist style developed by some stylists. Some men look almost similar ... Anyhow ... to say it with Skajespeare: As You Like It!

I like the before/after that are basically the same dude, but with a beard. So many of these were "I didn't look badass like in the magazines so I got tattoos, bought plenty of product for my hair, and grew a beard". That's why I cut my beard off. I felt like I was looking like a hipster, or at least someone who was trying to look badass. I have before/afters, but they aren't also before/after gettting ripped/tattooed/haircut etc. They're proper before/afters because I went in reverse so the photos are 15 minutes apart.

ahaha if a hipster is because the beard? I don't drink alcohol, I don't have tattoo and I am never smoked. Oh and don't drink coffee and I don't have fixie bike... Soo... tell me if I am hipster? :D

It's 15 years I'm bearded but it's really annoying all that fuss about it... Now it feels like a beard is like a shot of testosterone, THE symbol for masculinity. It's b******t, it would be like saying that a woman is feminine just because she has big boobs. Seriously, there is not ONE day without someone feeling the need to give "good advice", like "let it grow bigger", "trim it", "dye it", "shave it", "cut it this way", "cut it that way", for christ sake it's my bloody face and I do whatever I want with my facial hair, I'm not a f-ing model and I don't plan to be one so why does it even matter ? The worse is people who are obsessed with their beard, they discovered it 5 years ago when they became hipsters, and now they feel like they are the guardians of the temple. Let people be, with or without beard it doesn't matter !

Did you know that Las Vegas casino forbid their dealers to have beards ? The reason is trust. Casino management believe that people don't trust dealers with beards. That probably goes for the men, too ...

One time when I was 19, I was working a retail job and most of my male co workers had beards. I was eating lunch with one of them and he got sauce and food all up in his beard, omg it was so gross. Ever since then I just can't find beards attractive, it just looks dirty to me.

I never date men with beards. I feel like it’s a disguise. I can’t see their face! I don’t wear a lot of makeup, a veil or a mask. I don’t like kissing a man with a beard and most of the time it makes the guys look - older, dirtier, grumpier. Not a fan of the beard. Or constant baseball cap or constant sunglasses. No disguise please! Also, some of these men have a beautiful head of hair and they cut it too short. They could have a nice, stylish hairdo apart from standard barber shop buzz. The beard is not fashion forward. It looks unappealing to me.

Men without their own personalities, sad. They are just Hair fashion victims. And comparison is not reason: what engines, lights, have been used for these pictures for these shootings? How many years passed and maturity taken between 2 pics?

Some of the guys with the shorter beards do look better. Cannot stand the longer ones. However, if my husband ever grew a beard he'd be out the door - they are very tough on a girl's face!

I wish people would stop telling these fellas how to look, how to maintain, whether or not to trim or shave, etc. They all look amazing, and each beard, each face, is so unique and fascinating! <3

While I love beards. My husband has always had one. There really are people that don't look good at all with a beard. Two examples are Brad Pitt and Leonardo DeCaprio.

I only accept biker or stoner beards. I love them. Any other beard is pretentious and makes any man look 20 years older. Plus the amount of mites in those beards...blurgh
