Bee For Peace

As the first anniversary is almost upon us, I’ve decided to share my logo on Bored Panda to help keep spreading the message of hope, strength, love and peace. I was inspired by the events in Manchester last year and being better with my art than I am with my words I created this bee image (the people of Manchester use the bee as their symbol as their factories used to be a hive of activity) in hope that somehow somewhere somebody would take that one ounce of hope from it to carry on. It has since been shared over 430,000 time on facebook alone, it’s been printed on the side of an easyjet plane and was recently selected to be worn by one of the survivors of the attack when they performed on Britains got Talent. All of this has also helped to raise thousands of pounds that go towards the survivors and the families of those who were lost in the tragedy. I’m sharing it on here to help keep the message going, that peace will win.

Share on FacebookSo Stellermatt is not on here about the history of bees and or the body parts of the bee and their association to their function. He is Kindly paying homage to those poor souls who lost their lives and or were affected by the terror in this world. The bee he is depicting is more or less a "Brand" symbolism of his message. And if you want a factual connection, here it is, besides the history in his reference with that said local symbolism, all over the world in different countries the bee is becoming extinct and impacted by various means.... so you could say that he's sharing his message of what is becoming extinct in order to prevent that. So GOOD JOB Stellermatt, in all ways of your message.
Load More Replies...Well, I see you know nothing about the 🐝 bees. That part of the bees where you located "peace" more represents "war", there is exactly where the bee sting is. The "strength" I would put on the bees 🐝 legs. Do you know how bees 🐝 are caring pollen? The "hope" I would put on her head. "Hopefully" she will find a nice flower 🌺. But honestly, I don't know how 430,000 people could share this monster bee 🐝 image. 🤔 I read a few of your comments on the Bored 🐼 Panda and came to the conclusion that you are better with your words than with your art. Sorry. 😜
You're obviously not aware of the history of Manchester and it's association with the bee. The bee has long been the logo of Manchester and it's people from back when there used to be a lot of factories within the city, so many people worked within them that there was said to be a 'hive of industry' this was then associated to bees. Around the city in so many places are the bee logo and statues etc. When Manchester was bombed last year the bee was one way people chose to show their support for the victims and the families of those who died. My bee was obviously never intended to be biographically accurate as you have explained, so unfortunately your criticism is not really needed. Hope this explains things for you.
