Let’s talk about big beards and big hearts. Or rather, let’s meet some men who have hearts bigger than their beards.
The second part of my photography project – Beards. Unlimited! contains close-up portraits of men with beards from Cluj-Napoca, Romania. The bearded men from this project are part of an NGO called Beard Brothers, founded in 2013 in Cluj-Napoca. As they like to say, this brotherhood fights against social stereotypes and discrimination.
They had several big social campaigns, such as: Beard On! For Eduard! (a fund raising campaign for Eduard, a 6 years old boy diagnosed with a very rare bone tumor), Beards in Schools (they purchased a bus for a special kindergarten), Rolling Beards (a fund raising campaign to help the roller skating team to participate in the international championship), and many others campaigns to raise food and help the people in need.
