When Sia Cooper became pregnant with her first child, she decided to return to blogging and share her motherhood journey and progress with the world. She even quit nursing to become a stay at home mother and dedicate more time to creating content. However, not all mothers and fathers agreed with her parenting choices. Some even went so far as to call Sia a “bad mom.”
In response to them, Sia penned an honest open letter, explaining why she embraced that bad parenting label. Her post has resonated with over 28,000 people, many of whom applauded both Sia’s honesty and her philosophy on raising kids.

“It is very tough being a mom in this day and age,” Sia told Bored Panda. “Social media makes it so easy to be judged and to judge others. I have been judged for using canned goods all the way to me having tattoos – you cannot win with some people.”

She also believes that encountering a person who judges you for your parenting choices with little kids puts you in a difficult situation. There’s no easy way out and one has to listen to their intuition. “It is almost as if you are damned if you respond, damned if you don’t,” Sia said. “You know what is best for your own family so trust your gut and don’t care what anyone else says or thinks.”

Sia has two kids. Greyson, 5, and Everly, 3. She became a personal trainer after many women started asking her for plans. Sia saw a demand that needed to be filled and acquired a specialization in Women’s Fitness and Fitness Nutrition through NASM.

Here’s what people said about Sia’s post
Okay I’m familiar with this woman. She spends all her time commenting on every famous person on Instagram’s posts to build up her followers. She clearly “poses” with her kids in her posts and yes she does seem more concerned with her looks than she does her kids. Please don’t just read about this one post and assume you know she’s a good mom or whatever, I blocked her on Instagram because I got so tired of her thirst for fame. Also working out while pregnant or with kids is probably a good idea, but working out while pregnant and then make daily post about it on social media just make you seem attention seeking. I see right through her.
keep a roof over your kids, keep them educated, give them love, food and security. that's all they need.
Wait...she worked out in Target? That's just a little weird unless they have some sort of work out program?
I knew if I scrolled down someone else would have the same thought as me!
Load More Replies...Exactly. Notice how this entire diatribe is full of pictures? "Look at ME! I was called a 'bad mom' because I have abs...see my abs? They're right here in this picture. Oh, and in this one...because I was called a bad mom because I have abs. That's why my abs are showing in this picture..."
Load More Replies...So other than the fact that she's a good mom and loves her kids, my only other takeaway from this: There are plastic crock pot liners??? Have i been living under a rock?????
There are! They look kinda like mini trash bags that fit inside the crockpot. But be careful because some of the crockpot cookers cannot be used with the liners, they’ll melt.
Load More Replies...She has not been criticized for “having abs”. I’ll take ”Humblebrags Based on Things That Never Happened” for $1000, Alex.
I would rather see pics of her sports car collection. Just saying.....
When you post publicly you are going to get judged, if you don't like it, stop offering yourself up for it.
I don't see anything wrong with doing anything that's on her list except maybe, "working out in Target." That one left me a little confused. What's that about?
Being a "politically-correct" anything is like trying to catch smoke with your bare hands. It is not possible. Once you think you have a grasp on what is "good" according to political-correctedness the politics will have changed and you will still not be good. Also, being "PC" is a matter of point of view. There will ALWAYS be someone to tear you down, no matter how good you are. I'm glad you have the confidence to know you are a good mom. Not all parents are able to discern that. As long as the kids are happy, healthy, and loved and there is no abuse, then there reason to think anyone is a bad parent.
