According to a recent survey, 74% of parents in USA hire a babysitter at least once a month. The great majority of them pick the babysitter for their children very carefully – it is only natural that parents worry before letting someone else take care of their child. But sometimes it’s not the parents who worry, but rather the babysitters themselves as some parents, according to one babysitter, are hard to trust.

I have to admit this hadn't really occurred to me: when I saw the headline I thought it would be because a child waking up in different surroundings with different people from when they went to sleep might panic.

So did I, and I almost didn't click on it because I guessed that. But I'm glad I did, as someone who takes care of other people's kids occasionally. Good to know how to deal with this if I ever start babysitting for people I don't fully trust.

Me too- I was looking at it from the view of wanting the child to understand that a change was happening, not having the possibly frightening experience of waking up when your trusted parent wasn't around. The idea of drugging a child is so heinous that it didn't even enter my mind. I forgot about that dark side of humans...but it's sadly a very good point.

I totally agree with you. As I was reading, I thought- I am done with this world! Hurting anyone is unforgivable, but kids, babies, elderly, animals breaks my freaking heart to bits. What is wrong with people??

To me this should be a serious criminal offence as well. As for Vonskippy, this isn't about panicking over every "little" thing , it's about a serious crime being committed, and protecting our most vulnerable citizens from such a monsterous act. Stop being such a jerk.

Many parents give their babies Gripe water which has/had alcohol in it. I know of a few and up until I asked them to read what was in it they had no idea, scary.
