Stellar Dad Documents His Little Astronaut’s Adventures To Tell A Beautiful Message About Parenting
Photographer Aaron Sheldon documents his son's everyday adventures by photographing him as an astronaut exploring life.
Titled “Small Steps Are Giant Leaps”, the project aims to show parents that a kid's life is like a mission to Mars, where they're constantly exploring new things. "Our job as parents is to act as their mission control and co-pilot to make sure they can explore as much of their new world as possible," Sheldon writes.
Sheldon originally got the idea of this project when he noticed how fascinated his 4-year-old son was while riding a bus. Then, at a doctors appointment, his son thought that if he dressed up as an astronaut, he might not be scared anymore. Since then, Aaron has been documenting his little astronaut son's journeys on Earth, hoping to inspire others to see life through a child's eyes. To keep his journeys going, you can contribute to the Kickstarter campaign.
