Asking Kids What Their Parents Do At Work, The Answers Gave Insight Into Their Imagination!
Do children know what their mum and dads do for a living? Viking have carried out a survey from their international customer base which showed that 73% of parents were confident that their children knew their job role. However, as shown in the graphic this wasn’t found to be the case when we asked the children aged 2 – 6 themselves, so Viking decided to illustrate the best answers!
To find out why children answered with such creative descriptions for their parent’s job role, Viking spoke to Gitty Feddema and Aletta Wagenaar, authors of the book ‘And if we learn again how to raise our children’.
“During the toddler period, the dividing line between fantasy and reality is not so clear, with children enjoying listening to fairy tales and stories but never completely realising that it is make-believe. In other words, what is fiction and what is reality?”
