290 Touching Tributes To Late Carrie Fisher By Artists Around The World
"No matter how I go, I want it reported that I drowned in moonlight, strangled by my own bra." The world lost another star with the passing of Carrie Fisher, best known for her role of Princess Leia in Star Wars. The 60-year-old died this Tuesday after suffering a heart attack four days earlier.
She was not only an iconic female figure in media, one of the earliest strong female characters that young girls everywhere looked up to, she was also an advocate for mental health, sharing her own story of dealing with depression and addictions and in doing so, giving a voice to those struggling with these issues.
We've decided to make an open list from the artistic tributes to Carrie that have been popping up all over internet. You can pay your respects by submitting your artwork too. May the force be with you always, Carrie Fisher.

I believe this is pretty much what's going 'up there' right now. Yes. :-)
oh ! it's based on the little girl with her teddy bear in The Rescuers !
The struggles she had, this may have been how she felt through too much of it. :(
If you strike me down, I shall become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. (Obi Wan to Darth Vader. Not sure of the exact words.)
She's now peaceful in a galaxy she once protected. May the force be forever with you Carrie Fisher.
She's looking down from the stars, smiling, hugging Kenny Baker, finally free to wander the galaxy <3
There was a freaking funeral add on top of this picture!! Oh my God 😰😰😰😰😰
I think it means she vanished into the force like obi wan did!! 😥😪
Lemmy's first anniversary today. Very appropriate. Gonna be one hell of a shindig

Carrie Fisher was (or should we say she'll always be?) a beloved actress. Everybody thinks of her mainly as princess Leia; nevertheless, there are other characters by her that were both hilarious and unforgettable: in '30 Rock' as Rosemary Howard, Liz Lemon's -Tiny Fey- brilliant but nuts heroine, in 'Scream 3' as Bianca Burnette, and in 'The Burbs', among other titles. You can enjoy her here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hQL6_NbLwtk, where she's amazing along with Parker Posey. No doubt we'll miss you tons, Carrie :'( <3 <3 <3
People, Carrie isn't just princess Leah. She was so much more to the world, and yet the highest ranks photos here were all Star Wars based
Carrie Fisher acted in more than EIGHTY films. She was a producer, author, and mental health advocate. Can we get past her Princess Leia role and pay her true tribute?
I will always remember her in When Harry Met Sally saying "he's not going to leave her....he's never going to leave her. You're right, you're right. I know you're right"

Anyone else wonder what she'd think about being remembered/ depicted not just as Leia but as the dual-buns Leia? I like the one that is her and her dog as it pays tribute to the woman and not the character she played. Still if not for that character I'd not be as choked up over this. Too soon and too unexpected. Will be hard to watch episode 8 knowing that's the last we'll see of her performances.
Even though I'm not a Star Wars fan, going through these still made me cry. RIP Carrie Fisher :'(

One of my favourite poems deals with angels trying to make sense of human emotions:" Why beside the grave they grieve for one voice and face, and not receive another in its place?" The uniqueness of each of us is why each of us is uniquely missed. She was larger-than-life. I hear millions of voices crying out....
I had the biggest crush on Princess Leia :( I loved her. I couldn't help but cry when I heard the news. These were beautiful pictures!
I didn't grow up with Star Wars or care about it until I was older. I actually know Carrie best as a writer and comedian.
great actress. I remember watching episode 4 and remembering her first line "help me obi=wan you're my only hope". Also as a young man watching episode 5 and seeing her in her "slave leia" outfit really did impacted me a lot as a young male. Seeing her reappear in episode 7 was just heartwarming and took me back to those original saga days. seeing her in episode 8 will be weird and upsetting. thank you for all your contributions! Heres to the best and sexiest actress. may you rest in peace in the galaxy far far away...
