Lola Dupre – a collage artist and illustrator – reimagines the world around her by distorting dimensions in unconventional hand-made portraits. A strenuous and creative journey of various art mediums can last anywhere between 20 to 30 hours, demanding multiple prints of the same animal drawing, which are cut into small pieces and stuck down on a carefully mapped out template.
No image is deemed unfit to scoop inspiration from – be that portraits of fictional characters, public figures, celebrities, strangers or closest friends. Even an old animal painting or a photograph from a fashion magazine can sparkle a creative flame within this unique art lover, which Lola Dupre indeed is.
Her latest obsession is “tinkering” with weird animals creating truly magnificent artworks of distorted proportions.
