We often hear that art primarily imitates nature, yet we rarely see nature mimicking art. But with the touch of green-thumbed artists, it's possible to do so. The British florist Harriet Parry used her vast floral expertise and took her flowers to whole new artistic heights. Harriet recreates famous paintings and photos with floral bouquets and compositions. Like all great ideas, it is so simple, it'll probably make you wonder why you didn't think of it yourself. But it's much harder than you might have imagined: it's not so easy to create smooth lines, shapes and forms just by using flowers, pots, and small accessories. And in some sense, Harriet doesn't try too hard to recreate it one-for-one, and reinterprets the images with some changes in composition, shapes, and atmosphere. But the general spirit of the image is never lost, and in some sense it is even revitalized by the living beauty of flowers.
