People On Twitter Are Roasting Apple Maps And Here Are 29 Of The Funniest Posts
Does anyone remember what it was like to drive somewhere or try to find a place you hadn’t been to before without a map on your phone? Not even talking about using a paper map and the last time you used one to get somewhere. Whether it’s Google Maps, Apple Maps, or even Waze, you may be more than dependent on a map application. But judging from the reactions to a post a user shared on Twitter with an image of a sinking car and caption “google maps deada** have you like this,” not all maps are equal and they don't always lead to destinations. The post below has opened a can of worms of the never-ending dispute of which is the worst navigation app and turns out Apple Maps is taking the beating this time on a Twitter thread dedicated to that.

Below are 29 of the best posts and jokes about the struggles of using mapping applications that often leave their users lost and confused. But if you don’t know where you're going, you can’t get lost, right?

The people are once again divided—this time on what is better (or what is worse): Apple Maps or Google Maps. Of course, there is some percentage of Waze users that ensure that both of the most popular aforementioned apps are equally misleading and will take you through the worst route with the most confusing directions and no return back, meaning you will just end up stuck on the top of some tree.
The apps are getting roasted to the point that one Twitter user questions if Apple Maps creators are actually using the same app to get to work and have firsthand experience of how bad it can actually be.
That's odd that you decided to sell you phone (unless of course there was something wrong with it) because all you have to do is uninstall the Apple Maps app and download Google Maps. No need to sell the whole phone.
For only an hour???? You could easily get lost in Texas for 4 hours!

"In the NEW APPLE MAPS 12 We've removed those awful roads that were just cluttering up the screen! I know I never used them! We're sure you'll *adore* our new sleek design!" "They can be added for those of you who miss them with our fabulous iRoad package. Only $1745!"
lol that was basically my reaction. fun article tho
Load More Replies...This reminds me of the early days of GPS, back when they were separate devices. My dad had one, and he used to argue with her. Especially when, on a trip from Manchester to Glasgow, she decided that every. single. traffic light was a roundabout, and vice versa. And lord help you if there were roadworks. Our journeys were hilarious. But I learnt to read an old-fashioned map and understand road signs as a back up.
Yes yes!!! I wrote something similar at the comments in the post!! One of the (fortunately) funniest adventures i had with my friends was when we were using these devices and ended up in something that looked like a road and a field! Only farms and animals around and noone to ask!! Don't even remember how we came back!!
Load More Replies...I'm getting really sick of the pathetic censorship on this site. Seriously, if you're going to aim everything at six year old children, just stop making posts that will only appeal to adults. Enough already. 2021-04-28...12147f.jpg
i think the d word is deada*s, but i could be wrong of course
Load More Replies...I am not a fan of google maps, it's redirection is appalling compared to a GPS unit. However, I have had fun with that too. Once it told me to turn left (off a main road), and immediately turn right. Then in 100 metres, turn right and then immediately turn left. Basically, it got me to drive on a service road for 100 metres. Dumb.
Or MapQuest, or Bing Maps (though the latter has given me problems a couple times)
Load More Replies...Apple maps once directed me to make a right turn to merge onto US 41. I was going under US 41 which was on an overpass with no on-ramp. I knew then that I should've paid the upcharge for the optional jumping/flying feature on my rental...
I’ll never forget the time I typed in the address for my nephews birthday party and ended up in a completely different town.
Reminds me a bit of the car gps in my family’s CRVs. “Take a slight left” as we turn right
So I’ma not the only one -apple maps got me lost for 4hrs driving in circles, ended on the highway going to heading out of my City
Never, ever go the the remote Highland of Scotland with ANY navigation app, use an old fashioned paper map, only things that work there.
I’ve never actually had an issue with Apple Maps, aside from the occasional illegal u turn it wanted me to do.
Who needs directions? Apple maps will take you on an adventure! Forget driving to your grandmother's funeral, go off and drive up a mountain! Or a house! Who cares, as long as wherever you end up isn't where you initially wanted to go!
you use apple maps to get to ya mum's house for lunch and next thing you know you're in saint ikaros hospital and the mandrill maze
Honestly, my Garmin Dezl gives Apple Maps a run for its money in the “most likely to endanger you and your vehicle” category.
For a while the Apple maps icon actually showed the route taking you off an overpass...
Load More Replies...The number of times that apple maps said "do a u-turn here", or "turn left there"... etc. when it would be impossible, illegal, or ridiculously dangerous. I remember using my iphone for directions once, and Siri kept giving me dangerous or stupid directions. And I shouted "Siri, you are an idiot". Funny thing, she responded with "I'm doing the best I can"
