Talented artists like Rinotuna are great examples of how powerful creativity really is. Turns out, even the most unexpected random objects like a shower head or a security camera can become human in the form of an anime character.
“I like to create characters inspired by many things in the world,” the illustrator says. “I hope my works could show you the beauty of it.” Well, almost 700K of Rinotuna’s Instagram followers sure seem to think so. Rinotuna’s characters are specifically in anime style, very popular all around the world. While in Japan, anime describes pretty much any kind of animation, everywhere else it refers to a specific drawing style visible in this artist’s work. The first giveaway feature is the eyes, which are drawn in a way that’s super familiar to any fan of anime.
If Instagram or Twitter posts are not enough, Rinotuna’s fans are welcome to visit the creator’s Patreon and get special access to high-resolution images as well as PSD files to check the process layers. “It's a little messy but I will try to show you how I work,” Rinotuna says. Also, the fans can vote on what the artist draws next.
If you liked this post, we have a feeling that you might like these other posts that we're about to suggest. Gilbert Legrand uses everyday objects as inspiration for his characters, but in a much different style than you'd expect. Just as Rinotuna likes to breathe life into objects through the graphic medium, artists like Xi Ding specialize in turning actual personalities into cartoons. And Polly turns actual cartoon characters into humans. Enjoy!
These would all be great video game characters. I especially love the way the fabric mimics the fins!
She looks like a skilled thief! Rinotuna needs to write a book. Upvote if you agree!
Awesome, though he should be beefier, as coconut crabs are JACKED
Cells At Work has anthropomorphized blood cells, so you know there's a market for it
Load More Replies...When stuff is awesome, I admit it is awesome. THIS is a lot of really very much awesome.
um, ah, i dont mean to cause tension, but it seems to me that all of these characters are... white??? is this like a thing in anime? i love the artwork but it just feels, i dont know, it fells weird to see EVERY SINGLE ONE of these characters represented with a trait only shared by 13% of the world, especially as i'm a colored person from a mostly-white country. I'm not by any means saying this was intentional, but... um, artist to artist, could you include some more variety into your art? thanks :)
