Hi, I am a wildlife photographer David Hemmings from British Columbia, Canada. I have been photographing wildlife for many years. My most memorable and amazing wildlife encounters will always be these mother polar bears with their only weeks-old cubs. These photographs show the bears shortly after emerging from their winter dens in Northern Manitoba. This is a very cold and uninviting place in the winter but when you finally get to witness these beautiful bears in their natural habitat doing what nature intended them to be doing, the coldness quickly wears off and a feeling of warmth envelops your senses. I feel so fortunate to have been able to see this in the wild, something I will never forget or get tired of.
