50 Times People Fused Excellent Ideas With Great Execution, And Came Up With These Crafts
When I think of crafts, I picture these weird-looking items floating on Etsy like eternal shipwrecks that rise to the surface every time you genuinely need something. I mean, there’s nothing wrong with pursuing your hobby, but it’s a whole different story if you’re trying to make money out of something you wouldn’t buy yourself. Hence, there’s an entire craft-shaming movement that humorously mocks such instances.
But there’s a whole different side to craftsmanship and here we are talking the perfect fusion of idea, execution, skill, and patience. Mix them together and you see pieces of handmade art that put the mass production industry to shame.
And thanks to the subreddit r/Crafts, we have the most eye-watering collection of crafty objects that prove there’s no limit to human imagination. With a whopping 1.6m contributing to this online community, it’s easy to fall in love with crafts even if you weren’t a big fan of them in the first place.

Load More Replies...Last week I made bolognese sauce for the first time in my life ande felt sooooo proud. Then I see this and feel less than the dirt under my shoes. This people are so talented!
These were outstanding, I am so glad we live in a time now that not only can these artists have access to options to create such wonders, but that they can share their skills with the world through space like BP and if they choose to, to sell them in places like Etsy, instead of just having amazing talent and it being a only those that know them kind of thing. Truly amazing work from everyone.
I became obsessed with peyote stitch, and saw how to make these baskets in a dream (6" dollhouse guy for scale). baskets-60...5c9ea4.jpg
I made a clay dragon as my covid project. It took 52 hours spread across 7 months. I made it in 5 pieces, glazed it, then glued the pieces together. Then I painted over some spots with copper acrylic. The eyes are dichroic glass, which reflects light in rainbows. And if I can figure out how to post a picture, I will. Unfortunately, having never posted on this site before, and being on mobile, it’s not very clear how to add a picture.
If anyone can explain how to add a picture, please do
Load More Replies...Wow! These are amazing and beautiful. Not only they please the eyes but I am sure they give sweet satisfaction to their creators if they make us feel so good.
Quarantine really has got people doing stuff they wouldn't even try normally, well done people.
No kidding! I went out to surprise my cousin for graduation and found out that my uncle, who I didn't think could do anything creative that didn't involve computer code, has started making Paracord keychains. He's really good, too.
Load More Replies...All amazing and given all this time to fill, discovery of incredible talent for things they might not else have tried. Everyone keep up the great work. Whether to start a little (or rapidly growing) side business, some even capable of eventually saying goodbye to the old job and doing this, or just for your own and family and friend's enjoyment. Good on all of you. Now I'm off to see what I can make from my massive stash of ice cream containers. Wish me luck!
How are you all so talented. I found all them amazing since I can't even draw a straight line.
All of these are so great and now I truly feel like a giant sloth
these are all so amazing! I aspire to be an artist and crafter someday.
Everyone was so productive creating beautiful things, and my dumb ass just did nothing and gave myself anorexia.
