Attractive Shelter Worker Gets More Attention Than The Dog That’s Up For Adoption
On April 14th, the City of Wichita Falls Animal Services uploaded a photo introducing one of their workers, Zackry Majewski, with a husky named Sky. The goal of the post was to get Sky adopted, which she thankfully did! However, most people were more interested in Zackry and his dashing good looks.
With about 27k comments, 15k shares, and around 21k reactions, the post went viral. The people in the comments, especially women, were all over Zackry, even asking if he was up for adoption. Zackry shared with Bored Panda: “What made me work as a volunteer was because I wanted to have animal experience, and so I typed ‘animals’ into the search bar of Indeed and saw this awesome job! I love all the success the post is having, it brings a smile to my face that all these animals will get more exposure and a better chance to get adopted.”

The description read: “Zackry Majewski started with us in October of 2020. He has great compassion for the animals in our care. He is especially fond of Huskies and can always be found snuggling with a puppy in the shelter. On his time off Zac enjoys hiking and listening to Country Music.
Of course, Zac chose our resident Husky to spotlight. Sky is a beautiful girl waiting for a forever home.”
Zackry’s good looks stirred people up and they didn’t hold back

Share on FacebookOkay this is cool that this is getting attention, but those comments are not it. They are objectifying him, and while it's okay to say he's attractive, what most of the comments are saying is not okay. Imagine how upset the internet would get if those comments were directed at a woman? Just because he's male doesn't mean the rules don't apply. I honestly feel sorry for this guy, unless he likes the attention. Even if he doesn't mind, these comments are just not it.
You make an excellent point. If men said these things about a woman, I'd be furious. Thank you for pointing out the double-standard I was using. (I'm serious, not being sarcastic.)
Load More Replies...ugh, be a little less thirsty online. It's one thing to mention he is good looking, but several of those messages are next level objectification. Gross.
yeah its really creepy. imagine if a boy did this to a girl. Zach probally has a wife or somethin.
Load More Replies...Now... Let's flip the situation and have all those comments directed at a woman.
What? Like everyday life? This is newsworthy because it happened this way once
Load More Replies...ngl I was more interested in the dogs. So floofy.Would 10/10 hug the doggos.
this is just gross and pathetic and must be VERY AWKWARD FOR THE MAN, if this was a wAmen , ya all be like this si chauvinism, sexism, how dare you and get people fired up from jobs, you hypocrites !!!!
imagine if this was a woman and all the comments were from men.... this is gross- and the point of what he was trying to do has been lost.
Men tend to be much creepier about it, like sending d!ck pics
Load More Replies...It's probably because the dog placement in the photos is secondary to the guy. Either by intent or bad composition.
I hope all those comments didn't freak Zac out, bc the freaked me out and I have nothing to do with any of this.
Now imagine if the roles were reversed. If this was a girl we'd be crucified for saying this stuff. The hypocrisy is insane
Oh, yuck. Just a quick reminder that objectification is disgusting regardless of gender. Poor guy.
Y'all need some d. Just saying... He knew what he was doing he knew what would happen. He accepted this before doing it. And it brings attention to these animals who desperately need homes. So GOOD FOR HIM!!! Now I'd like to adopt both him and sky... Look at their eyes....
Okay? Are you trying to say why is it on here or is it just random information?
