Eva Mendes Says Staying At Home With Kids Was “No-Brainer” While Ryan Gosling Continued Acting
Eva Mendes revealed how she and her dotting husband, Ryan Gosling, had a “non-verbal agreement” about how she would hit the brakes on her acting career to focus on raising their children.
In an intimate revelation on the Today show, the actress spoke about her personal life and how she willingly put her successful Hollywood career on hold for the sake of her family.
“It was almost just like a non-verbal agreement that it was like, ‘Ok, he’s going to work, and I’m going to work. I’m just going to work here,'” Eva said on the show on Tuesday.

“It was like a no-brainer. I’m so lucky, and I was like, ‘If I can have this time with my children…'” the actress said.
The Ghost Rider actress asserted that she still had a career even though she no longer actively worked in Hollywood.
“I still worked. I just didn’t act because acting takes you on locations. It takes you away,” she shared.
Eva gushed over Ryan’s commitment to his work and recalled how she “never experienced anything like that” while they worked together on ‘The Place Beyond the Pines.’

“I’ve never experienced anything like that,” she said. “The way he works, his commitment to his craft, how he wants to make everything as best as it can be, and that means making his co-stars as best as they could be.”
“But unfortunately, or fortunately, there’s only one Ryan,” she said, laughing. “So, you know, I pretty much stopped acting after that.”
Probably because she's a "has been" actress. It's good that she's taking care of the kids.
