When this Cavalier King Charles pup was rescued from the streets of Montreal, he had at first been mistaken for a pile of garbage or a plush toy that had been thrown out. But the disgustingly thick mats of fur were cut away to reveal the sweet but terrified and mistreated pedigree dog underneath.
He was found roaming the streets of Montreal last week by the Quebec Society for the Protection of Animals. The poor pup was terrified by the electric razor being used to remove his thick mats of fur, but this had to be done to ensure that he could move.
Luckily, it looks like the cleanup was successful – under all those ugly mats of hair, he’s quite a charmer. Hopefully he will find a forever home soon.
