“I Knew I Wanted To Look Like That Every Single Day And So I Did” – TikTok User Went Viral Because She Dresses Like It’s The ’70s

Have you ever wanted to live in a different era? Like the ’80s or ’70s? Do any of the older years inspire your style or music taste? Well, the ’70s surely inspire Rose Van Rijn.

Rose found an ABBA CD 5 years ago and decided she was going to completely change her style. She cut her hair, bought a new wardrobe, and now looks like she took a portal from 1970 to 2021. She started publishing videos on TikTok and many of them went viral. Lots of people compare her to Princess Diana. Rose even gave a tutorial on how to look like her. Rose isn’t afraid to be herself and dress the way she wants to instead of what’s trending and ‘in’ right now.

Rose told Bored Panda: “It all started when I found an old ABBA cd about 5 years ago. I fell in love with their music and I discovered more bands from the ’70s, like the Bee Gees, as well as Olivia Newton-John. When I saw how they dressed and did their hair, I knew I wanted to look like that every single day and so I did.”

I follow her on Tiktok & IG, she has a chronic disease that causes her to be bed bound a lot of the time & indoors so I have a lot of admiration for her as you wouldn't know to look at her as she's always smiling & making nice content. I don't think she looks like Diana either or Agnetha from ABBA who a lot of people compare her too, i think it's the hair that is almost identical that gives the illusion. She does tend to do the Agnetha open mouth smile or laugh i've seen in a lot of ABBA videos/pics in a bid to look more like her but their faces are totally different. I think she looks like Sophie Turner (Sansa Game of Thrones) when her hair is longer.

I am 'from the 70s' and she has absolutely nailed the look. The filtered sunlight look (it wasn't a look we were trying for in the 70s, it was just the quality of instamatic camera available), the hairstyles, the clothes! God, crocheted tanktops! As others have said, she looks absolutely nothing like Diana, it's more that she nailed the hair (and Diana was 80s not 70s anyway), but I give her full points for look-accuracy; she could have stepped out of 1976.

I think when she wears her hair shorter she definitely has a Diana vibe, looking like someone doesn't mean looking like you're identical twins, just means having the same vibe... she's white, blue eyes, small nose, delicate features, blonde short hair, wearing clothes that look closer to Diana's era than to her own... she's a bit of a Diana look alike, it's not that deep.

A lovely young lady. I do not fully belong in this time either. I was born in 71, but feel like I have lived a life in an era starting before WW 2 till end 60s. I remember the grim details of war (still can't watch any WW2 movies) and lived through rebuilding society into happy 60s, where my life abruptly ended. There is really no such thing as absolute time for a soul. Don't fear death - it is just a pause between two chapters of life. I just happen to remember the previous chapter.

She is yet another proof that there are no ugly people - there are people that do not fit into mainstream looks. There is fashion era for everyone. Dita von Teese fits 50s [so do I], Bernadette Banner fits Victorian era, and this lady fiots 70s. Good for her. Dress the way you want to and feel / look good in. Not everyone needs modern look and not everyone looks good in it.

Just because she had a similar haircut to Lady Diana Spenser does not mean she looks like Lady Di. I have light brown hair and blue eyes. At one point had a similar hair cut and worked reception. I look absolutely nothing like lady Di but because of the hair style people would constantly say I did. It was so obvious I did not.

Instead of a sexual or gender orientation, it's like a 'decade orientation'. Like being born in the wrong era.

She is gorgeous! I like this, I dress like I was a greaser from the 1950's every day.

To each her own. If this makes her happy, more power to her. She is very pretty & the styles suit her very well!

She looks beautiful. I was a child in the 70s, and I remember those clothes on adult women. I'm happy for her!

IDGAF about "Styles" which come & go. I take good care of my stuff (thanks Mom!) so it lasts a really long time. Beautiful is beautiful, whether it's in fashion at the moment or not.

I love her looks. The hair really make a difference. Otherwise it’s just a person wearing thrift shop finds. In some of them, she reminds me of Eric’s older sister on That 70’s show.

I think we have enough proof here that she is the reincarnation of Princess Diana.

In a couple of the photos she has the hairstyle Princess Diana wore but that's the only similarity

I make more then $12,000 a month online. It’s enough to comfortably replace my old jobs income, especially considering I only work about 11 to 12 hours a week from home. I was amazed how easy it was after I tried it…GOOD LUCK..===))> 𝐖𝐰𝐰.𝐖𝐨𝐫𝐤𝐢𝐛𝐚𝐫.𝐂𝐨𝐦

That lie again? There is no hard evidence that this is true. Here is to comment on the article, not to speak false news.
