Trick or treating is not allowed in Europe, because of the Corona virus. Stores are closed and people need to stay inside to stop the spreading.

We have to keep ourselves busy in the house and we have already have a Netflix and Disney+ overdose.

Since our family loves crafting together, we ordered some fun DIY projectboxes. When they arrived and my kids opened the box, I heard a tiny scream. My 5 year old was practically in tears. Every box we opened, we ordered a couple because they were on sale, had a cockroach, spider, snake or scorpion in them. My daughter had the cockroach and did not see it coming. We had a good laugh but then it dawned on me.

We loved the way they added this fun experience to the order, but we decided to prank them back.

We mailed the company and asked for a meeting. We mentioned our 90 year old grandmother opened their box, had a scare and her heart failed. We had to rush her to the hospital. Drama all over the place.

They responded quickly. A mail from their legal officer saying they are not responsible and that they will take legal action. We didn’t expect that. Their email and their tone of voice shocked us and made us angry. But the next we morning received a new box. This time it contained a DIY instruction on ‘How to craft a new heart for Grandma’. Including all the supplies necessary, and a small note saying ‘nice try’.
