After the Guggenheim Museum of Bilbao, this is the second article about monumental structures and spanish wonders.

Valencia is often in the shadow of its more popular neighbors Madrid and Barcelona. Actually, it is the third biggest cities in Spain, and a 2 days trip there from Barcelona really worth it. Even if it is the best place in the world for a paella, I haven’t been there for that. From a photographer’s point of view, Valencia was kind of a pilgrimage for me. So fascinated by the shapes and the design, I could spend these 24 hours only taking pictures of the science fiction-like City of Arts & Sciences. This building has been designed by the Valencia-born and internationally known architect Santiago Calatrava.

It is a scientific and cultural leisure complex which can be enjoyed with family or friends, covering around two kilometres of the former riverbed of the River Turia. This area of Valencia is a feast for the eyes with multiple gardens, outdoor art gallery, waterways, museums and arcades. It is a peaceful place for a walk, and a really cool place to chill, refresh and enjoy the Valencian sun. The buildings are surrounded by water, which offers really cool symmetries and makes the building even more special (especially at night).

It is unique, weird, massive, stately, majestic and incredibly photogenic, and these are the pictures I took.
