My name is Maggie Duvall. I am an artist and photographer who currently lives in Austin, Texas (I’m from South Africa). I took a picture of my dog Basil every day for a year.
The project on Flickr is called 365 Days Project, where people upload a selfie of themselves every day for a year. I decided that I wanted to document a year of my dog Basil’s life instead of taking my selfies, so he was the subject instead of me. A Flickr group called FGR (Flickr Group Roulette) offered new challenges and themes each day for participants in the 365 Days Group – hence the costumes and disguises on Basil and some references to The Far Side in my photos.
