Artist Makes 20 Hilarious Comics About Girls’ Everyday Life Situations And Being In A Couple (New Pics)
Interview With ArtistWe’re thrilled to welcome back Linnéa Aasa, the cartoonist behind ’Tardaasa Comics.’ Known for her sharp wit and uniquely relatable comics, she’s back with a fresh collection of laugh-out-loud moments that capture the quirks and absurdities of everyday life.
We caught up with Linnéa to learn more about her new series. She shared: “This time, I’ve tried to dive even deeper into those little moments that make us human. I wanted to create comics that make people say, ‘Oh my gosh, that’s so me!’ or even just laugh and forget their worries for a moment.”

We reached out to Linnéa to dive deeper into her comic work. This time, the artist revealed the most unexpected source of inspiration for one of her creations: “I feel like most of the inspiration for my comics is unexpected! Especially now, when I only make comics sporadically and don’t need to force ideas.
But one sudden comic idea I can think of came from a moment when I was sitting on a sofa with a man. I put my arm around him, and he rested his head on my chest—it made me feel like a boss! The comic I made to portray that moment turned out to be very popular, and I was surprised to learn that a lot of people could relate to the feeling. I love when my work connects with others like that. I’m very curious about how people think and feel.”
When asked about a comic Aasa created that she initially felt was too personal to share, but eventually decided to release, the cartoonist responded: “I’m an oversharer to the bone, so I’ve never made a comic based on me that I wasn’t comfortable sharing! There was one exception, though. I didn’t post that comic—or maybe I did and then deleted it a couple of days later. I don’t remember for sure; it was like ten years ago!
These days, I sometimes worry about what people close to me might think of certain comics I make. I wonder if they might think it’s about them—or realize it is based on them! It’s not always flattering, haha.”
Nice sentiment, but not true. You don't just love what's on the inside, you also love what's on the outside, and you're allowed to only be attracted to men or only be attracted to women. Some people fall in love with people with lots of different genders, and some people fall in love with someone of the same gender each time. Both are totally fine. Being pansexual doesn't make you a better person than being straight or gay. (and I say that as a pansexual person myself). Falling in love with the same gender each time, doesn't mean judging people on their outsides, it just means that that is your taste.
We wondered if Linnéa recalls the most unusual or surprising fan messages she’s received about her work. Here’s what we learned: “Unfortunately, I can’t remember any specific one, though I know there’ve been many! When people DM me, I can see the previous conversation—that can be from years earlier— and when I see the first message, I usually remember it if it was something that stood out.
Otherwise my memory really is so SO bad. It’s kind of depressing - but I take it as a sign to live more in the moment! I do at least tend to remember when comic artists I’m a fan of contacted me for the first time.”
Lastly, we asked the ‘Tardaasa Comics’ author to imagine the opening theme song for her comics if they were turned into a TV series. She responded: “If money and rights weren’t an issue, maybe something by Die Antwoord, like ‘I Fink U Freeky’ or ‘Evil Boy’—possibly sped up a little. Joan Jett’s ‘Bad Reputation’ could also work, but I guess it’s been overused!”
I remember the pastor's wife giving a message and it was this: you don't need a therapist if you have friends.
