Don't worry, pretty much 99% of Christmas trees are taken from these tree type farms, not chopped down in the woods. Also plastic = waste

Maybe where you live. Where I live there are literally millions of 'em, and when you cut one down that means there's more light available to help another one grow in its place. No net loss over time.

Christmas trees are a renewable resource. It's little different than Brussels sprouts or onions or other plant matter that we plant and consume. Trees take longer to grow, but most Christmas trees are grown in special nurseries for the purpose of selling them. They wouldn't grow in the wild anyway in most cases. It's similar to planting a flower or vegetable garden. That being said, *I* use an artificial tree because it's reusable and doesn't have to be cleaned up after or thrown away (easier for me).
