Reese, a 13-year-old dachshund mix, was recently found on the lawn of someone’s home in Fayetteville, Georgia, with a handwritten note.
“I hope whoever gets this [will] please take care of my dog. I love her so much, but I don’t have time for her … I wish I didn’t have to do this, but I have four kids and no time for her,” the note reads.
Luckily, the owner of the home took her home as soon as she noticed her.
As she had no time to look after Reese herself, she sought help on Facebook, and tagged Royal Animal Refuge, a local rescue group and shelter, found the post.
Robyn Klein, a veteran foster carer with Royal Animal Refuge, said she would like to bring the dog to her mother.
Klein’s mom just lost her dog a few months ago, so she was happy to foster her.
Fortunately, she fell in love with Reese at first sight and decided to adopt her instead.
“She’s very happy to give her a home,” said a staff member of Royal Animal Refuge. “She told me she’s going to be loved, and it’s a happy ending for Reese.”

Share on FacebookI understand that we all face challenges, but having a pet is a commitment. many people would not put animals at the same level, as kids. however, one is not expected to give up on your kids. it's a shame but glad that this lady is giving the dog a good home.
But kids get given up for adoption too sometimes. Let's just be happy for a good ending

I want to think that the woman that gave this Precious Pup up, knew she was taking her to the right place.
