You Think You Know Me – Poem
You think you know me.
You’re wrong.
You’re angry because you know I’m right.
You’re angry because I force you to look in the mirror.
You’re scared because I make you feel insecure.
You’re scared because I challenge your throne of lies.
You’re weak in the face of the truth.
You’re weak and others will see it too.
If I was wrong, you’d say I was wrong
But you don’t.
If I was wrong, you’d apologize for hurting me
But you don’t.
If I was wrong, you wouldn’t be so angry
But you are.
If I was wrong, what I say would have no effect on you
But it does.
You think you know me.
You’re wrong, you don’t know yourself.
