It is ok for him to ask for anything he wants. It may be incredibly rude, but it is perfectly ok as long as he can deal with the rejection of being told no.

The message at the end should have read "Oh and by the way you're a piece of c**p for asking a girl you just met for a specific type of nude picture, claiming you "need" it. F***k off". ....Instead of a kind/apologetic message....

Take a step back and examine this situation: Looking at the context, it doesn’t look like this was the first contact this Ty guy had with the woman he thought he was texting. It seems like he was continuing a previously-started conversation.

Nah. Guys ask me for semi-nude pics online all the time. I'm not hot, but I have big boobs. They usually progress to asking for more and more naughty pics. First cleavage, then more cleavage, then full boobs, then full body semi-nude, then full nude or close-ups of certain areas.
