Every school has a story to tell. Whether it's about their students fighting, falling in love, or the staff members doing those exact same things, there's plenty of drama. And who better to talk about it than the people who witnessed it firsthand?
Interested in these stories, Reddit user u/Lost-Warning-2588 posted a question on the platform, asking: "What's the worst scandal to happen at your school?" And their curiosity was awarded. Below, you will find a collection of some of the darkest answers people left in the comments. Tales that, I'm guessing, were supposed to stay on the premises.

First week of high school. PE class, the first section was swim. wasn’t my class, but the class after. This kid was playing a game with his friends in the water—who could hold their breath the longest. He was going up for air and hit head on the pointy part of the gutter, and never made it to the surface. Friends didn’t notice, teacher didn’t notice. Eventually football players coming back to the locker rooms noticed. He ended up dying. Teacher was fired although I wouldn’t fully blame him as he was attending and teaching kids who didn’t know how to swim or weren’t strong swimmers. One adult for over 60 kids?? That’s the schools fault

My middle school banned hugging and hand holding during course changes because it blocked the hall. In protest all the Eighth Graders stood up and hugged each other during their lunch period. A bunch of students got detention. Made the cover of the Charlotte Observer.

Senior year, there was a freak snow storm in April, during which the quietest & nicest stoner in our class went missing. A day later they found his car in a ditch, and a week later when the snow melted, they found his body. He’d crashed and, in his presumed high af state, gotten out to walk for help with no coat on. He eventually found a telephone pole & sat down against it to rest and was believed to have frozen to death in the storm. Seeing his mom at her only child’s funeral still haunts me.

Long story short the principal got arrested for hiding cameras in the bathroom this was back in elementary he was a total creep

Not that scandalous. A friends stuff kept going missing, like books and pens. It didn't stop even after multiple complaints from him and the teachers didn't really care.
His mom screamed at the teachers and the principal did her own "investigation" and concluded that it was a boy who stole from that guy.
The principal decided to call the male students parents to talk to them.
After a year, it turns out that the thief was a girl and she yeeted the guys stuff out the window because the guy was bullying her.

As a female I was bullied by two guys one was the Vice Principal son (he could do no wrong of course) I reported him and his cohort after they beat me up in the back parking lot. I did no good. I bided my time I was a strong girl into sports. I waited until they did something in the school - at my locker bending over sonny boy pushed me head first into the locker I regained my composure picked the little bastard up by his shirt which tore and shoved his entire body in my locker and shut the door. That got a laugh. I of course was tossed out of school but a teacher defended me and called the kid a little SOB who should be kept on a leash. he was fired. The brats dad was promoted to principal. That's how things went in schools in the late 50's!

When in middle school, the school forced us to give our phones to the vice principal, and they would stay there “locked” during the day. They got stolen. Around 120 smartphones

My former high school got on the news for having a history teacher lie for four years about being a decorated war hero. Guy claimed to have not one, but TWO Purple Hearts, among other things, and never even served a day in the military. (Edit: I can’t directly link to articles because of doxxing, but I’m sure you can find it on Google.)
But it gets juicier: The truth came out because his ex-wife exposed him, sending evidence he was making it all up to local news stations and the school. Why’d she do it? The history teacher was having an affair with another teacher in my school.
We had a lot of weird teachers at my school, but I think this story shows just how much the administration hardly vetted teachers, like holy sh*t. We also had a guidance counselor get the boot for being a racist, but that’s another story that didn’t get as much publicity.

In 1999, four girls from my high school went on a six-week-long armed robbery spree. They knocked over four convenience stores and a bakery before police caught them.
This happened in a conservative middle-class suburb, and altogether the girls got away with less than $5000, which might have been the most scandalous part. If they’d gone into subprime lending I’m sure their parents would have been very proud of them.

My English teacher in the 11th grade was sleeping with the WHOLE girls basketball team in exchange for straight A’s. I actually failed English that year but when that made the news my school said I didn’t have to go anymore because he wasn’t doing the grading properly. Everyone who had his class got a B

The Harlem Shake was a craze. We had an RE teacher who desperately enjoyed being the popular teacher so he got in on the craze. Invited 40 pupils from my year to his classroom at lunch and filmed his own Harlem Shake video (which in itself would’ve been against safeguarding rules). Thing is, he also taught sex ed, so everyone got into his cupboard before the start of the video for ‘props’. The video was essentially a group of 14 year olds throwing dildos and condoms around the room while he, of his own accord, grinded on a life-size cutout of the Pope. He was suspended under investigation for half a year but surprisingly kept his job. He was lot more professional when he returned.

Two things. Both in middle school.
I was at home on a Sunday watching the news with my mom when all of a suden my 6th grade teachers mugshot showed up and it said that her and her husband were pulled over and the police found like 6 pounds of high grade weed , lead to a search warrant for their home and they literally slept on a inflatable mattress. The whole house was a grow op. She did look like a hippy but I don't understand, she was not mellow at all. She was a b*tch.
In 8th grade, one of my friends parents had cancer, he thought it was a good idea to bring some of their meds to school and hand them out like candy. These were strong strong meds , and not all of them were pain pills. At least 5 kids overdosed 2 of them had siezures , no one died thankfully.

I was in 8th grade at the time, but the high school I would be attending the next year had a massive hazing scandal that made international news overnight. A group of junior girls trying to join the powderpuffs went to play football against the seniors. Instead of playing, they got the sh*t kicked out of them, were forced to sit in a huddle on the ground while paint and animal intestines were thrown at them, and one girl even had a bucket put over her head at it was hit with baseball bats. I heard later on she suffered permanent hearing loss. Someone recorded it (this was before smartphones so someone had a literal camcorder) and release it to the media. The senior girls that were identified were suspended, many of them losing college admissions, and some parents were arrested when it was found out they supplied alcohol. When I started high school we had to endure multiple school assemblies every year about how hazing is bad, and participate in week-long seminars about being more caring and considerate of our fellow students.

Girl A decided to fight girl B in class. Girl A ripped girl B’s real hair out, broke her nose, and crippled her. Girl B was sent to the emergency room. Girl A was suspended for 2 weeks. They were both in 7th grade.

The entire 11th grade of my school visits a concentration camp each year, and 2 years ago someone brought weed, so 20 students were expelled and 15 suspended. Even the police got involved (weed isn't legal yet here).

Principal of the HS and Director of Athletics got caught embezzlingmoney from the school to their bank accounts. They got caught after 50 k went missing from the schools bank.
Bomb threat. Got sesrched whenever we went in, metal detectors, bomb dogs, the works.
Couple kids invited an African American into their twitter group called "Golf N***as" and were saying stuff like "Repeal the 13th" to her. She tracked down the school and made a complaint. Made local news.

When I was in 5th grade, the male teacher I'd had in 4th grade was fired for helping a high school cheerleader undress. Looking back, he was a creeper.

I was in fourth or fifth grade and someone sketched in the middle school bathroom not to go on school Friday, 'or I will bang bang.' This was then brought to the attention of the county and state police, and we didn’t have school that day, and the police searched everyone’s lockers for a firearm

During middle school a few kids sold weed and someone that bought some smoked it in the building which was just stupid, the kid that sold it to him didn’t want to get in trouble so he pulled the fire alarm so people wouldn’t find the kid, we all got to go home afterwards

Kid made a chlorine bomb and threw it in the trash can at lunch. Lockdown, bomb squad, every single kid and faculty member out on the field in 95° weather for 2+ hours until parents could show up to pick up their kids.

This happened between my sister and brother graduating, so it would have been 1996 or 1997. The HS Ag teacher started dating a student at some point. Everyone knew about it and the parents consented. Our HS was (and is) small enough to still participate in Senior Trips, and the AG teacher went along as a chaperone when his GF was a senior. They shared a hotel room, when I believe the student was still technically a 17 yr old minor. At the time I remember my parents being rather put off by it, but they still hired the guy as a summer farmhand. I don't remember if he was fired or stepped down, but by the time I made it to HS we had a different Ag teacher. They got married and had a child, divorced maybe five or ten years ago. Their kid goes to our HS now.
I don't know why it wasn't a huge deal at the time, but no one really raised a stink or threatened to call the authorities. Today it feels like a case of grooming by a predatory farm boy.

We had a computer teacher/football assistant coach who was just blasted all day, had so many DUIs he had to get rides to work, but was the cousin of the Superintendent so he kept his job. Let’s just say that when he crashed a student’s car in the parking lot because he convinced them to let him borrow it that that was the beginning of the end of it. It was a small town. The scandal is that the Super tried to cover it up by trying to convince the kid to take the heat for it. To no one’s surprise, the kid was not convinced. They let him stay on as Super for another two years.

The 30ish theater teacher ran off with a recent grad. I was kind of pals with the student during a play the spring before the scandal, and she hosted the cast party where in retrospect, they seemed a little cozier than appropriate. As much as I'm dying for the inside scoop, I can't imagine friending her on social media and asking "So what was up with you and Mr. ___________?"

In middle school (8th grade/early 2000s) one of the "hot" girls sent a couple nude pictures to her bf and it wasn't long until half the school had them. Police ended up becoming involved to make sure any all copies were destroyed.
In high school there was a little scandal involving the teachers and a teachers club called the "hot tub club". Faculty members that had hot tubs would host a weekly hot tub party with other hot tub owners. Turns out they were all getting wasted and having a swinging party every Wednesday. Somebodies spouse found out about it and there was a huge exodus of "hot tub" teachers my senior year.
Edit: The main people involved with the photo were reprimanded but not charged, the girl had a sit down with a counselor to discuss what happened, and we all had a big assembly to discuss the consequences that could happen if people shared those kind of images. It scared a lot of kids straight.
Nobody was fired from the school for being in the hot tub club. Teachers left because it was convenient timing with the opening of another high school, and there was constant babble about it.
Just for clarity, this all happened in a small town in western Canada. By the looks of my inbox both are not uncommon occurrences.

A kid was busted having into the system trying to change his grades. I think there was a claim of computer addiction, but he wasn't allowed on a school computer for the rest of his time at the high school.
A teacher was known for trying to pick fights with students, I called out his bull sh*t and he was given a slap on the wrist but he didn't try it again after that.
There was a student who was accused of having a bomb that was a complete fabrication, outcome was ridiculously blown out of purportion (The guy was a bit of an outsider and had made a duct tape top hat, someone made a sarcastic comment about him smuggling a bomb in it, he responded in same level of sarcasm, someone gets it in their head he has a bomb and they decide to kick him out of school because of "viable threat")

My highschool Guidance counselor f*cked a science teachers wife and everyone knew about it. They got a divorce. Both teachers still work at the same school to this day, and students will never ever let it go. The story has been handed down from year to year.

one year in exams days they were trying to add a new method to prevent cheating where a man from the administration comes to every class before every exam and collects students phones while sticking a sticker with a number on each phone and giving the same sticker to the student so he can get his phone after school without anyone taking someone else's phone that looks alike or something. This was working at first and a bit "preventing cheating" until one day some guy sneaked into our highschool and came as the man who collects the phones while he wasnt, he stole the whole highschool phones and went lol

Teacher spilt acid on a girl.
Science class (obviously) first year of high school, the whale of my teacher was demonstrating different acid and how dangerous it was.
He then knocked a beaker over and it ran over the table onto a girl, and she screamed a bit, he shat himself and took her away. Got another teacher to clean it up.
He wasn’t teaching much longer in our school much longer, I also heard that the girls mum either sued or tried to sue the teacher and/ or school.
The acid had gone through her leggings and kinda mixed with her skin so she had to get some skin grafts to cover it.

In a very very dark story, a female special education student at my high school with an IQ of 40 who I knew and cared about very deeply was sexually assaulted by a male classmate who had a 0.0 GPA. The boy had been assigned to be a "peer trainer" to the girl by a counselor who thought it would "get him back on track." They were found in a stairwell with the girl agitated, shaking, and partially undressed. The worst part: When the girl's family rightfully sued the school district, the school's lawyer's defense was that the girl was 18 and must have liked it.

My siblings' middle school (which was, thankfully, knocked down a little while ago) had quite a few screwed up teachers, but one of them was known for being an annoying creep. He always looked up girls' skirts and down their shirts as well. He ended up locking himself into the bathroom with another student and got fired shortly after (and thrown into jail). He really hated my sister, which I think was a lucky outcome, because if he'd liked her, God knows what he might have tried to do to her.

One of my own middle school teachers is pretty creepy and mean, and he's been reported by other girls (ones that attend in-person, as I'm a virtual student) to stare at rather inappropriate places for rather inappropriate amounts of time. But he's not creepy enough to be suspected by other teachers I guess.

Long story short, we had a living nightmare of a Bible study teacher. Twice a week, we would be spending an hour listening to why we are going to hell that week. It ranged from reading fiction to standing up for yourself to an adult. Well, her husband, the school pastor (who reported me for listening to the devil's music) ended up having an affair with a year 12 student and marrying her.

The gym teacher was fired for showing up drunk. He was driven home before students arrived, and students were simply told he was "out." I was in the class that learned about the firing first. It was common in my school for teachers to print on recycled paper. Well, we were having a math test and were told to "flip our test over" when we were done. One student flipped his test over and started snickering and mumbling. Soon we all turned to see what had him so interested. The principal had (hopefully accidentally) thrown the draft of the gym teacher's firing notice in the recycling instead of shredding it. It was on the back of this kid's test. Suddenly, the whole class knew exactly what happened with the gym teacher in surprising detail.

High school in the 80s. Turns out one of our science teachers was a playboy centerfold back in the 70s. Dozens of that specific issue turned up in the school once somebody found out.

It's very unfortunate how humanity's brains are between their legs. Unfortunately it may help somewhat if schools were all same gender including teachers and faculty. Oh no that's no good, I just remembered a story where a high school girl went hot tubbing to her friend's house, and when the girl and the friend's mom were alone in the hot tub, the mom took off the bra of the girl and fondled her and kissed her. Mothers, and teachers, and faculty, and all other adults, and older kids are all supposed to protect all children, not sexually harass them.

Having had many friends in monastic schools here in SA, this is a hetero assumption of total note. It's BS. IF the opposite gender is not available, it still happens. Makes zero difference. What we HAVE noted however is that the majority of culprits are males. My solution: only let women be teachers. Simple.

It was a Christian school so it was already questionable. Two boys had girlfriends in another school and were caught kissing them, which was an expelling offence. The principal and vice principal decided to "show mercy the way Jesus would" to them and had the vice principal spank him until the students told him to stop. It was such a scandal it made the Anchorage Daily News paper.

So here are some charming stories. 1. Caning was legal when I was at school. Most kids got lashed. One teacher preferred a cricket bat. Another was given the instruction to do it backhander with his left hand because forward with his right hand, he drew blood. 2. We had to go to military camps to prepare for the "inevitable" race war. Didn't happen, but kids got abused, mentally, spiritually, and physically. 3. Kids were assaulted and bullied for defying military activities. 4. Sports attendance was compulsory and failure to attend led to assault. However, cultural attendance was not. 5. One of our schools here, I won't say which, has had three pedo cases in 20 years and one neglect death in a river rafting incident. Just at one school. 6. Last year, 33 000 teen pregnancies.

I grew up in 80's South Africa, I remember corporal punishment. I had a teacher break a wooden spoon over my hand, she damaged the tendon of my right index finger; she smacked everyone in the class because one girl screamed when a locust flew into her face.

It wasn't a scandal at my high school but it should have been. I went to a very rural HS that was stuck in the 1800s. Not relevant to the scandal but most of the students missed ~ 4 months of the 9 months school year to help on the farm. 8 male teachers, the principal, a bus driver, and the driving instructor who was associated with our school all married one of their students within a month of them graduating or dropping out of school. That included both the coaches of the girl's volleyball and girl's basketball/softball teams. At school events (football, plays, etc) mothers would talk up their daughters homemaking skills to the new young male teachers because marrying a teacher was a good thing - a stable government job that had summers off to take you on vacations. I graduated on a Saturday and went to the wedding of my sophomore homecoming dance date to Mr. Bean the next day. New teachers out of college (both sexes) were fired if not married in two years.

Mines is a tragedy with a mini scandal. Anyways, students were out and about on an out of class assignment (some classes had them often) our school was near the main rail line. Students were rushing back to class, crossed the double train tracks before the barriers went up and two students were killed by a train they never saw coming. The scandal part was the media, school and school board covered up liability by saying the students were on lunch break. But EVERYONE who went to the school knew the time they were hit and what time lunch break started and the times didn't add up. The teacher took it very hard and almost quit over her grief, she was a great teacher and it really was a tragic accident, but the coverup was ridiculous

A bit of a strange one, I remember going for audition for a university course, they sit us all down in a room and in walks a jolly looking middle age, obese gay guy. It's just him and all of us students. He starts off by informing everyone how sought after this course is and that if you do not have the grades you're not getting in, at this point people are looking around collectively thinking the same thing "why would you invite people along that you have no plan of letting in", they know are grades before hand after all. He goes on to inform us that they like to laugh at the kids that don't meet the mark before he starts telling us all about the girls that have tried to have sex with in order to get on to the course and that he was only interested in the "cute" boys, who he cannot promise he would open up a place for on the course but we were welcome to try.

It was so bizarre but I don't think any of us reported him, I don't think I even thought of saying anything to anyone in any kind of official compacity. We were all just like that was a bit odd.

My biggest scandal is a two parter. So, at my old school, a group of seniors went on a weekend trip to Alabama and got absolutely wasted. There were two girls, twins, and they were driving back Sunday night, still drunk. They ended up having a wreck and put the other driver in the hospital. While they were in Alabama, one of the guys that was with them got drunk and bit his girlfriends ear off, while she was pregnant with his baby. She was also from our rival school so.

I sat next to a guy in band in grade 11 who was constantly getting called out of class by a 30 ish female teacher. He was 16/17. It all seemed mildly creepy to me but there was always some kind of reason. In grade 12, it came out that she was pregnant and they got married that summer. It was 1990 so she wasn’t fired, just had to change schools because everyone knew.

Not high school, but elementary school. I was in 3rd grade ELA class and suddenly over the loud speaker they told all teachers to let their students grab their things and leave the building immediately. No one knew what was happening, but we left anyways with our backpacks and jackets. We had to sit outside the front of the school for a while and that's when I found out there had been a bomb threat. The kids around me were all laughing and joking about how the school was gonna blow up, but I was absolutely terrified. Then the teachers led us to a church nearby so our parents could pick us up. I kept trying to see my mom through the crowd, but I was small and was scared to move. Eventually I started walking around looking for her and after about 30 minutes my music teacher helped me. I cried after a few more minutes because I still couldn't find her and I was even more scared. Then finally the mom of an old friend saw me and told me where my mom was and my music teacher led me to her.

Some people from my school went to party in classmate's house. Classmate's father had a gun. One of partying girls find it and started messing with it. She unintentionally pulled the trigger and shoot her classmate to the head. Classmate survived, but lost an eye, girl ended in a psychiatric hospital.

I had a teacher in secondary school (high school) who was very violent. Corporal punishment had just been banned, but he would scream and screech and manhandle children. We were aged 12 to 13 then. He also assaulted a female colleague by holding her up against the wall by her neck. She didn’t complain about him because his wife wasn’t well and she didn’t want him to get sacked. He had no business being in a school. I was terrified of him.

When I was in eighth grade, a kid threatened to shoot up the school and a lot of kids stayed home that day. He was expelled and ordered to leave town. My freshman year of high school, a group of popular girls drove a car on the running track. Nothing really happened to them because two of them had rich parents. Even though the school knew that I didn't and never had done drugs, I was "randomly" drug tested at least twice a year. My family and I believe that they did this to make the school look good.

Our high school hockey coach/civics teacher got canned after multiple issues. Thinking back, I'm not sure how he lasted so long. A couple of the most memorable issues include him taking the high school hockey team to his friends bar and buying pitchers of beers for them - a bunch of 15 year olds. Another time he showed up for work an hour late looking rough as hell, and it was discovered he was in a car accident 45km away the night before where he rear ended a city bus, then bailed on his car because he was high on LSD and walked straight to the school like nothing happened.... that was the icing on the cake

When I was a senior in High School (2003/2004) we heard that girls in the Middle School (7th Grade, 12 yr olds) were giving B.J.s in the bathroom. The school found out about it because lines of boys were forming outside the bathrooms.

We had a suspicious PE teacher at secondary school back in the early 90's. He often stood by the showers after football/Rugby looking at us showering to check we were all "washing properly". And there were the times when he separated the class into 2 teams. The captain of each team had to put their hands into the teachers trouser pocket (which he was wearing at the time) and if they correctly guessed what the object in his pocket was they could kick off first?!

Wow, what happened in my school was, I guess, hardly a scandal. This was back in 1973 in a Catholic all girls school. One of the teachers got in trouble when they found out she was teaching birth control to the seniors in health class. 😳😆

Bingo Scam. Assistant principal and some of his cronies, decided to pocket cash from the Bingo Pull off tickets…. Short story, principal happed to see out of the corner of her eye, someone slipping cash in their back pocket during a transaction. Hidden cameras and a few more Bingo Sessions, a whole swath of people arrested. Now, mind you, I was a Hellion, and my Dad knew this Vice Principals first name, from 4 years of me getting in trouble. To my fathers delight he sent me a newspaper clipping, my first year in college….”Go Say Hello to Jeff” as his prison sentence was announced…..

This was in the 60's. Can't recall what happened but we were all annoyed and were joking around that someone should blow up the school. No one took it seriously excepy W***y. He broke into a construction site and showed up the next day with a stick and a half of dynamite, detonators and fuse.

Not a big scandal but still interesting and I'd like to share. I went to a very religious all girl school, and when my older sister was there, there was a rumour that one of the PE teacher's was having an affair with a temporary fill-in vice principal. Girls who went past the swimming pool used for gym lessons confirmed that they saw the two teachers swimming together. (Not sure if anyone saw anything more than that though) They were both female teachers, and 'cause of the very religious undertones (plus the fact that one of them had a husband) that didn't go over well. Both of the teachers left the school and never returned. Not sure if they left on their own accord or if they were fired but the latter is the likely outcome.

I have 2 stories: 1. A sub was arrested in 8th grade whenever the girls told the principal that he had been groping them. There were also two instances of him slapping kids who talked back to him. 2. A gun threat. At one of my basketball games in high school, one of the students in the bleachers posted that he had a gun in his bag and was choosing who he would shoot the next day at school. The next day, all of our bags were checked and we had a big assembly. Nobody was hurt, thankfully.

When I was 17, I had a high school English teacher who must have been 25. She had let me into the school on a Sunday to get a book for her class, The Stranger, by Camus. I drove and dropped her at home off when I had the book. After I left some scumbag broke into her apartment and attempted to assault her. F-ing terrible. The next day she showed up to school and taught. She broke down in front of my class and told the entire class that she wish i would have shown up an hour later. For a while afterward it was talked about that I was having a relationship with her. I wasn’t and I wish I had showed up an hour later. Her breakdown in front of the class still haunts me.

Catholic girls school. One of my teachers got knocked up by a local priest. Then there was some incident where a few 14 year olds got wasted on vodka behind one of the prefabs. One teacher's husband hung himself and she insisted on still coming to work rather than going on bereavement leave.

In 8th grade, there was someone at my school who'd say every single chance he got that he was a Nazi, he had a collection of guns, that he was planning to eliminate a group of people to "do the world a favor", and other such extremely disturbing things. Needless to say, he got the police called on his ass, but he wasn't suspended or expelled at all (probably got nothing worse than a slap on the wrist), and since he was a very popular kid, everyone was losing their s**t about "who called the police on him?"... it was me. Nobody found out, IIRC.

High school was a long time ago for me. Back in the 60s I was in the high school band. We would have out of town trips for special stuff. This one was a competition of some sort. We are all in a hotel, boys on one floor, girls on another. That didn't last long. Someone brought booze and there was a big party. I locked my door, yeah, party pooper. We didn't compete. The band director noticed and we went straight home the next day, no competition. Secondly, one of the majorettes got pregnant during her sophomore year. I thought it was strange a lot of guys were going under the bleachers. Someone kindly explained. She had no idea who the father was. And at that time, she had to drop out of school. Her dad was some big shot at the local base.

My 7th grade teacher, also my favorite teacher appeared on the news because he was caught selling weed to his students during class. He sold to an undercover cop. No joke! That dude must have looked super young!!! I was devastated. I would have never thought that Coach D would've done anything like that.

in my school, when i was in year 7, there was a fight between two girls and one of them ending up breaking the other girl's jaw and she needed reconstructive surgery lol. Also, two maths teachers were in a relationship, and we found a used c0nd0m outside their classroom and they got fired lol.

I didn't find out until years later, but the principal at my first Primary School not only had an affair with one of the teachers but they ultimately ran off together. My old teacher who told me about it when we met again about a decade later was still scandalised.

In high school, so like 2002-2010, we had a female math teacher and I didn't find out until I was well out of high school, but the whole time she was having kids over and giving them alcohol and weed, who knows what else.. it was in the papers, think her husband left her too.

This is happening in my school, right now. So we just got a new assistant PE teacher, so he just mainly sits doing nothing, just watching and helping, but some of the girls think he’s creepy. Like, not looks sketchy creepy, I mean some girls think he’s been looking at girls’ a**es creepy. I think someone might want to say something, but we don’t really have definite proof. Anyway, I’m not really involved in this, because he looks at the more “attractive” girls. But again, we don’t know for sure, all I know is that some girls feel uncomfortable around him. That’s my story( edit: we’re all 13)

Very conservative private Christian school. Third grade teacher starts dating her students dad. Wife finds out her sons teacher has been f*****g her husband for half a year. Some of the other parents find out and approach the school board . School board and principal respond with accusing the wife/mom of trying to cause drama and then cover it up. Blacklist her because the husband is rich and pays for the tuition. She had nothing to do with going to the board but she’s an outsider to the community and those people protect their own . Wife/mom is me .. I have to face this woman every time I go to that school for my kids and hide my head in shame .

I grew up in a very small, rural town - population 1,300 or so. Everyone knew everyone else & their business, & about a quarter of the people were distantly related to each other. The 8th grade English teacher was very respected, & she was also really good with all the students. She had a summer job, working for a local electrical business, and a few years after I graduated, she got caught embezzling money from them & had apparently been doing it for several years. I guess she got a little bit greedy & the owner noticed the discrepancy. She was also the wife of one of the pastors in town! Yeah, they moved away very quickly.

My deputy head married a student ( my friends mum's friend) , was caught by a different friend with my RE teacher on his lap, there was also a rumour that he was sleeping with my French teacher. Years later I had a job as a nursery nurse in a local nursery. My old English teacher walks in one day with her baby son. Guess who the dad was? My PE teacher also got a girl in the year above me pregnant and my home Ed teacher used to flirt outrageously with the boys by sitting on their laps etc.

One day at school, a guy I knew wagged but because his attendance history was so bad he hacked the school computers and changed his record. He and his GF went to a mate’s place and took the mate’s dad’s car joyriding abd wrecked it. People at school actually thought he was terminally ill and started raising money for him. Anyway, long story short, the principal was eventually fired because he confronted the guy but there was no evidence of what he did.

In a very very dark story, a female special education student at my high school with an IQ of 40 who I knew and cared about very deeply was sexually assaulted by a male classmate who had a 0.0 GPA. The boy had been assigned to be a "peer trainer" to the girl by a counselor who thought it would "get him back on track." They were found in a stairwell with the girl agitated, shaking, and partially undressed. The worst part: When the girl's family rightfully sued the school district, the school's lawyer's defense was that the girl was 18 and must have liked it.

My siblings' middle school (which was, thankfully, knocked down a little while ago) had quite a few screwed up teachers, but one of them was known for being an annoying creep. He always looked up girls' skirts and down their shirts as well. He ended up locking himself into the bathroom with another student and got fired shortly after (and thrown into jail). He really hated my sister, which I think was a lucky outcome, because if he'd liked her, God knows what he might have tried to do to her.

One of my own middle school teachers is pretty creepy and mean, and he's been reported by other girls (ones that attend in-person, as I'm a virtual student) to stare at rather inappropriate places for rather inappropriate amounts of time. But he's not creepy enough to be suspected by other teachers I guess.

Long story short, we had a living nightmare of a Bible study teacher. Twice a week, we would be spending an hour listening to why we are going to hell that week. It ranged from reading fiction to standing up for yourself to an adult. Well, her husband, the school pastor (who reported me for listening to the devil's music) ended up having an affair with a year 12 student and marrying her.

The gym teacher was fired for showing up drunk. He was driven home before students arrived, and students were simply told he was "out." I was in the class that learned about the firing first. It was common in my school for teachers to print on recycled paper. Well, we were having a math test and were told to "flip our test over" when we were done. One student flipped his test over and started snickering and mumbling. Soon we all turned to see what had him so interested. The principal had (hopefully accidentally) thrown the draft of the gym teacher's firing notice in the recycling instead of shredding it. It was on the back of this kid's test. Suddenly, the whole class knew exactly what happened with the gym teacher in surprising detail.

It's very unfortunate how humanity's brains are between their legs. Unfortunately it may help somewhat if schools were all same gender including teachers and faculty. Oh no that's no good, I just remembered a story where a high school girl went hot tubbing to her friend's house, and when the girl and the friend's mom were alone in the hot tub, the mom took off the bra of the girl and fondled her and kissed her. Mothers, and teachers, and faculty, and all other adults, and older kids are all supposed to protect all children, not sexually harass them.

What we HAVE noted however is that the majority of culprits are males. My solution: only let women be teachers. Simple.

It was a Christian school so it was already questionable. Two boys had girlfriends in another school and were caught kissing them, which was an expelling offence. The principal and vice principal decided to "show mercy the way Jesus would" to them and had the vice principal spank him until the students told him to stop. It was such a scandal it made the Anchorage Daily News paper.

So here are some charming stories. 1. Caning was legal when I was at school. Most kids got lashed. One teacher preferred a cricket bat. Another was given the instruction to do it backhander with his left hand because forward with his right hand, he drew blood. 2. We had to go to military camps to prepare for the "inevitable" race war. Didn't happen, but kids got abused, mentally, spiritually, and physically. 3. Kids were assaulted and bullied for defying military activities. 4. Sports attendance was compulsory and failure to attend led to assault. However, cultural attendance was not. 5. One of our schools here, I won't say which, has had three pedo cases in 20 years and one neglect death in a river rafting incident. Just at one school. 6. Last year, 33 000 teen pregnancies.

It wasn't a scandal at my high school but it should have been. I went to a very rural HS that was stuck in the 1800s. Not relevant to the scandal but most of the students missed ~ 4 months of the 9 months school year to help on the farm. 8 male teachers, the principal, a bus driver, and the driving instructor who was associated with our school all married one of their students within a month of them graduating or dropping out of school. That included both the coaches of the girl's volleyball and girl's basketball/softball teams. At school events (football, plays, etc) mothers would talk up their daughters homemaking skills to the new young male teachers because marrying a teacher was a good thing - a stable government job that had summers off to take you on vacations. I graduated on a Saturday and went to the wedding of my sophomore homecoming dance date to Mr. Bean the next day. New teachers out of college (both sexes) were fired if not married in two years.

Mines is a tragedy with a mini scandal. Anyways, students were out and about on an out of class assignment (some classes had them often) our school was near the main rail line. Students were rushing back to class, crossed the double train tracks before the barriers went up and two students were killed by a train they never saw coming. The scandal part was the media, school and school board covered up liability by saying the students were on lunch break. But EVERYONE who went to the school knew the time they were hit and what time lunch break started and the times didn't add up. The teacher took it very hard and almost quit over her grief, she was a great teacher and it really was a tragic accident, but the coverup was ridiculous

A bit of a strange one, I remember going for audition for a university course, they sit us all down in a room and in walks a jolly looking middle age, obese gay guy. It's just him and all of us students. He starts off by informing everyone how sought after this course is and that if you do not have the grades you're not getting in, at this point people are looking around collectively thinking the same thing "why would you invite people along that you have no plan of letting in", they know are grades before hand after all. He goes on to inform us that they like to laugh at the kids that don't meet the mark before he starts telling us all about the girls that have tried to have sex with in order to get on to the course and that he was only interested in the "cute" boys, who he cannot promise he would open up a place for on the course but we were welcome to try.

My biggest scandal is a two parter. So, at my old school, a group of seniors went on a weekend trip to Alabama and got absolutely wasted. There were two girls, twins, and they were driving back Sunday night, still drunk. They ended up having a wreck and put the other driver in the hospital. While they were in Alabama, one of the guys that was with them got drunk and bit his girlfriends ear off, while she was pregnant with his baby. She was also from our rival school so.

It all seemed mildly creepy to me but there was always some kind of reason. In grade 12, it came out that she was pregnant and they got married that summer. It was 1990 so she wasn’t fired, just had to change schools because everyone knew.

Not high school, but elementary school. I was in 3rd grade ELA class and suddenly over the loud speaker they told all teachers to let their students grab their things and leave the building immediately. No one knew what was happening, but we left anyways with our backpacks and jackets. We had to sit outside the front of the school for a while and that's when I found out there had been a bomb threat. The kids around me were all laughing and joking about how the school was gonna blow up, but I was absolutely terrified. Then the teachers led us to a church nearby so our parents could pick us up. I kept trying to see my mom through the crowd, but I was small and was scared to move. Eventually I started walking around looking for her and after about 30 minutes my music teacher helped me. I cried after a few more minutes because I still couldn't find her and I was even more scared. Then finally the mom of an old friend saw me and told me where my mom was and my music teacher led me to her.

I had a teacher in secondary school (high school) who was very violent. Corporal punishment had just been banned, but he would scream and screech and manhandle children. We were aged 12 to 13 then. He also assaulted a female colleague by holding her up against the wall by her neck. She didn’t complain about him because his wife wasn’t well and she didn’t want him to get sacked. He had no business being in a school. I was terrified of him.

When I was in eighth grade, a kid threatened to shoot up the school and a lot of kids stayed home that day. He was expelled and ordered to leave town. My freshman year of high school, a group of popular girls drove a car on the running track. Nothing really happened to them because two of them had rich parents. Even though the school knew that I didn't and never had done drugs, I was "randomly" drug tested at least twice a year. My family and I believe that they did this to make the school look good.

Our high school hockey coach/civics teacher got canned after multiple issues. Thinking back, I'm not sure how he lasted so long. A couple of the most memorable issues include him taking the high school hockey team to his friends bar and buying pitchers of beers for them - a bunch of 15 year olds. Another time he showed up for work an hour late looking rough as hell, and it was discovered he was in a car accident 45km away the night before where he rear ended a city bus, then bailed on his car because he was high on LSD and walked straight to the school like nothing happened.... that was the icing on the cake

Its so sad that there are these types of adults surrounded by children. I'm lucky to have had good teachers throughout my education

High school was a long time ago for me. Back in the 60s I was in the high school band. We would have out of town trips for special stuff. This one was a competition of some sort. We are all in a hotel, boys on one floor, girls on another. That didn't last long. Someone brought booze and there was a big party. I locked my door, yeah, party pooper. We didn't compete. The band director noticed and we went straight home the next day, no competition. Secondly, one of the majorettes got pregnant during her sophomore year. I thought it was strange a lot of guys were going under the bleachers. Someone kindly explained. She had no idea who the father was. And at that time, she had to drop out of school. Her dad was some big shot at the local base.

My 7th grade teacher, also my favorite teacher appeared on the news because he was caught selling weed to his students during class. He sold to an undercover cop. No joke! That dude must have looked super young!!! I was devastated. I would have never thought that Coach D would've done anything like that.

in my school, when i was in year 7, there was a fight between two girls and one of them ending up breaking the other girl's jaw and she needed reconstructive surgery lol. Also, two maths teachers were in a relationship, and we found a used c0nd0m outside their classroom and they got fired lol.

I didn't find out until years later, but the principal at my first Primary School not only had an affair with one of the teachers but they ultimately ran off together. My old teacher who told me about it when we met again about a decade later was still scandalised.

In high school, so like 2002-2010, we had a female math teacher and I didn't find out until I was well out of high school, but the whole time she was having kids over and giving them alcohol and weed, who knows what else.. it was in the papers, think her husband left her too.

This is happening in my school, right now. So we just got a new assistant PE teacher, so he just mainly sits doing nothing, just watching and helping, but some of the girls think he’s creepy. Like, not looks sketchy creepy, I mean some girls think he’s been looking at girls’ a**es creepy. I think someone might want to say something, but we don’t really have definite proof. Anyway, I’m not really involved in this, because he looks at the more “attractive” girls. But again, we don’t know for sure, all I know is that some girls feel uncomfortable around him. That’s my story( edit: we’re all 13)

Very conservative private Christian school. Third grade teacher starts dating her students dad. Wife finds out her sons teacher has been f*****g her husband for half a year. Some of the other parents find out and approach the school board . School board and principal respond with accusing the wife/mom of trying to cause drama and then cover it up. Blacklist her because the husband is rich and pays for the tuition. She had nothing to do with going to the board but she’s an outsider to the community and those people protect their own . Wife/mom is me .. I have to face this woman every time I go to that school for my kids and hide my head in shame .

I grew up in a very small, rural town - population 1,300 or so. Everyone knew everyone else & their business, & about a quarter of the people were distantly related to each other. The 8th grade English teacher was very respected, & she was also really good with all the students. She had a summer job, working for a local electrical business, and a few years after I graduated, she got caught embezzling money from them & had apparently been doing it for several years. I guess she got a little bit greedy & the owner noticed the discrepancy. She was also the wife of one of the pastors in town! Yeah, they moved away very quickly.

My deputy head married a student ( my friends mum's friend) , was caught by a different friend with my RE teacher on his lap, there was also a rumour that he was sleeping with my French teacher. Years later I had a job as a nursery nurse in a local nursery. My old English teacher walks in one day with her baby son. Guess who the dad was? My PE teacher also got a girl in the year above me pregnant and my home Ed teacher used to flirt outrageously with the boys by sitting on their laps etc.

One day at school, a guy I knew wagged but because his attendance history was so bad he hacked the school computers and changed his record. He and his GF went to a mate’s place and took the mate’s dad’s car joyriding abd wrecked it. People at school actually thought he was terminally ill and started raising money for him. Anyway, long story short, the principal was eventually fired because he confronted the guy but there was no evidence of what he did.
