40 Times People Realized They’re Living With A ‘Monster’ And Just Had To Share The Evidence
If you like things tidy, living with other people is hard. You have to maneuver through their dirty clothes, go on a scavenger hunt every time you need a clean plate, and work part-time as a garbage collector. But if you're unlucky enough, you might move in with an individual that's impossible to live with. No matter if you're high-maintenance or chill as a goldfish. The Internet calls these creatures 'monsters'. And rightfully so. Who else could keep a potato in their cupboard so long that it starts sprouting? Or leave so much hair on the wall of a shower that you could make a wig out of it? Bored Panda has compiled a list of pictures that show what it's like to live with a monster so scroll down, check out their insane living habits, and upvote your (least) favorite ones!

The Way My Wife Opens Things
While cheesy sitcoms may have convinced you that living with roommates is the best, truth is, there's much more to it. When you are sharing your space with someone else, everyday life is full of conflicts, compromises, and setting boundaries. There are, however, things you can do to make it easier for everyone involved.
My Wife Hung A Nice Picture And A Small Shelf While I Was On Duty. Now My Eye Is Twitching
Clear Communication from the get-go. Even though this is one of the most important tips for any relationship, it's vital for all roommates. You'll be spending a lot of time with each other, and you'll need to respect each other's needs and preferences. Ask yourself what you know about yourself already and what you expect from the person that's living with you. Maybe you like to blast music while you study, maybe you need some peace and quiet before you go to sleep, it doesn't matter, just figure it out and communicate these needs and expectations as soon as possible.
Why I Keep A Secret Tube Of Toothpaste From My Wife And Children
Solve problems immediately. The best way to go about it is to tackle them while they're still small. Is your roommate borrowing your stuff without asking? Or maybe they're constantly leaving a mess behind them? Address issues as soon as you notice them and it will be easier to talk about them in a calm and friendly manner.
I Lost A Loved One Today. I'm Not Sure Which One Yet, But Whoever Cuts Cheese Cake Like This Is Dead To Me
Be respectful when you're thinking about inviting people over. Even if you're an extroverted socialite who thrives among other people, your roommate prefers spending time alone. Bringing a group of friends to your home may be disrupting, considering it's their home as well. Talk to your roommate again, inform them about your socialization needs and make sure you don't overstep any boundaries.
My Housemate Still Hasn’t Got Rid Of His Pumpkin From Halloween
It's okay if you and your roommate aren't best friends. Try to be pleasant and friendly to your roommate, but respect each other's personal space. There's no need to force a close relationship, doing so might cause strain and discomfort for the both of you. Go on with your life and if you connect, you connect, and if you don't, at least you get along.

My Roommate Puts The Empty Milk Containers Back Into The Fridge
The Way My Wife Leaves The Egg Shells In The Carton Instead Of Throwing Them Into The Trash
I do that (while cooking. When I'm done, I put them in the trash and the remaining eggs back in the fridge)
I leave the shells in the biodegradable carton and when all 18 eggs have been used the shells and carton go into my compost pile. It's a waste of good fertilizer to throw them away.
It keeps them cold and prevents them from rotting. I do the same thing with eggs.
My wife’s cousin did this once at a family breakfast and I thought she had just forgotten to throw them away...I was wrong
I do this, then clean and dry them, pulverize them and use them in my spells...
The egg shells could be washed and, after drying, transformed into calcium powder for flowers and gardens. They do not have to go into the trash
E. Coli anyone? I always keep spares to share every time I crack an egg.
That actually makes perfect sense. Once the eggs have been used up I bring the carton to my farmer, give the shells to the chickens and get a refill
I bet that's the same person who leaves the wrappers in the box of chocolates..
Also guilty when i am cooking and don't have two hands and then they both in the green bin when i use them all

I've Been Stuck In My Room Sick For 4 Days Trying To Not Give My Roommate And His Girlfriend What I Have. They've Just Been Letting The Dishes Build Up This Whole Time
I used to have a roommate like this. Every damn night I would clean the kitchen spotless and he and his friends would come in drunk and make messy food late at night and leave the mess!! So, I finally decided to take all of the dirty dishes and put them in his bed in the morning after he left and would remake his bed like nothing happened. A few times of this and he finally stopped! We still laugh about it now haha

I Live With Monsters
A lot of these people are more health hazards above anything else... Have they never been taught basic hygiene???
Spot on. Most of these people are nothing short of pigs
Load More Replies...I really don't get why people put up with some of these nasty habits of wasting and creating unhealthy situations. Speak to your roommate, friend , husband or wife and tell them to change their ways.
Wow, these are outraging. So little considerate, so little environmental-conscious, so selfish, so egoistic...in a partnersip you ought to tolerate the smaller and larger idiosyncracies, but many of the examples here display something deeper: a questionable overall attitude towards things.
So apparently I am married to a Monster because she does about 3/4 of the things on here.
I seriously can't get my head around why anyone would be like this. Yet there are thousands of these people. It would be interesting to find out what, psychologically, leads to this. I know sometimes people with depression get like this but in other cases, the mind boggles as to what it is.
I would never put up with most of these 'habits' and I would certainly know about them way before I made any kind of commitment, so it would not be difficult to say bye-bye lol
I only have one thing to say: face your problems instead of Facebooking them
I’ve had more than my fair share of nasty roommates, but this story was by far the worst.. We had two bathrooms in the apartment; one was mine, one was hers. For the first several months she would always use my shower because she said hers was “too gross”. After over six months, I decided enough was enough (I have very short hair and OCD, she had a freaking lion’s mane and was hippie dirty) so I went to bleach her shower so she would stop using mine. I pull back the curtain and was absolutely shocked at what I found.. there were bags of garbage piled 5’ high in her tub!!! Literally dozens of full garbage bags!!! Needless to say, we had quite the “talk” when she got home and was never allowed to use my bathroom again.
Hubby does several of these. I keep telling myself that after he's "gone" I will miss all this. But.... will I?
It's amazing that people choose such irresponsible and thoughtless spouses.
Do you know what's wrong with every single one of these people? Pure Laziness.
About 38 of these are my boyfriends habits...no exxageration. I am so over it n him!!
Holy c**p, who raised these people?! Monsters raising monsters... must break the cycle!
That’s why I live alone. If I get married This issue would be on the prenups!
I am not sure about this. You call these people monsters and then you show messy rooms of people struggling with depression. Where is consistency?
Did someone say these people are depressed or are you assuming that ANY super messy person is depressed? Believe it or not some people are just lazy and disgusting...
Load More Replies...Two takeaways from this. 1) there are some seriously f*****g gross people about. 2) too many people are ignorant about OCD. It is not about needing things tidy/neat/clean. It is a serious mental health condition that traps sufferers into ritualised behaviours in an attempt to escape obsessive/distressing thoughts. It can be so bad it can drive people to suicide. Please stop trivialising this serious illness!
It is just shocking that some women do the things above. How can a woman be so messy and ignorant?
Are women held to a different cleanliness standard than men? Your comment is weirdly sexist.
