One of the benefits of having a kid is you get to name them. That way, you can honor your grandad, pay your respects to the artist who has inspired you, or... show the world you're a bit weird.

A month ago, Reddit user Hasden2007 asked other users on the platform, "What is the worst name you could give a child?" Turns out, there's no shortage of those.

So far, the post has received over 4.7K replies. From Strawberry Rain to Chastity, here are some of the most upvoted ones.

In Australia you can't legally name your kids Prince or Princess, thank goodness. The US really needs to put some more restrictions on names, to protect children.

I worked with a Princess. Was NOT the brightest bulb, that's for sure. (quick story as proof - we were closing her office and she had to send back a monitor and asked me what to do. I told her to wrap it up in the Washington Post, put it in a box and ship it. It arrives, I can hear that it's broken, I open the box and literally, it was the monitor in the box with a copy of yesterday's Post laying on top. That's it. Like I said, dumb.)

Becca will be devastated at first but then she will love it. I think it is cruel of the parents. Regardless of the stupid names. This looks like Becca wasn't wanted or something. Poor child.

Technically "Precious" opens the doors to some more subtle ones, like Ruby or even Jewel... Then again, I suppose subtle just doesn't cut it for those kinds of parents.

Apparently you don't understand that many people of all different skin tones name their kids some dumb ass names. The fact that you're ASSuming they're black is just racist, f****d up, and quite honestly stupid.

That was the poor girl who caused an incident at an airport, because the employees could not believe this was her actual name. They laughed at the name and the mother shamed them for laughing at her poor child, when in truth in was her fault for giving her child a ridiculous name like that.
