I worked for a German company, and we were their only US group. Germany got tons of PTO, holiday closures etc. We had almost no holidays and very little PTO with 20 days MAX after 10 years. Would've been nice if they provided German benefits to us.

Infographics have been around for quite some time. While there are some ancient drawings and sketches that might fit the bill, the first “proper” infographics date back to the 16th century. In this particular case, it was a helpful (at least to some) graphic depicting the movement of the sun in the sky.

Later, the art of the graph and bar chart expanded with William Playfair’s The Commercial and Political Atlas, which depicted the economy of England. Interestingly, he is also considered the inventor of the pie chart in general.

Stage 11 came well before stage 10. But I hit them all! Should've gotten a punch card so I could get a pizza party or something once I got all 12 punches.

Weird that the negative is emphasized in the closest grouping about the 'goal' 1 is also 'Tilting at Windmills' and 'The World does not yet know what it needs.' 2 is also Charity / Volunteer work. 3 also covers 'Imposter Syndrome.'

Wait till you see what happens to your polyester, rayon, linen, silk, satin, fleece, fabrics or even your cotton shirt with polyester threads when you hit them with that curling iron! And as for the liquids on the plane, my spouse was forced to throw away her prescription eye drops because the bottle held 3.6 oz instead of the max 3.4 oz. Thank god for the safety of the passengers that extra 0.2 oz didn't get onto that airliner! Oh the humanity!

Wish airports would have posters indicating their security requirements (e.g. remove belt) placed along the queues so more people were ready when they got to the front.

To get rid of wrinkles, hanging in the bathroom just doesn't work, steam or no steam. Instead, buy a small spritz bottle that packs easily. When you go to put on your wrinkly shirt, fill up your little bottle and spritz the front and back really well, then put the shirt on right away. It will be damp, but no untolerable. By the time you go anywhere, it should be dry and much less wrinkly.

The "storage area" for carry-on luggage most certainly IS pressurized! Apart from that, so is the hold where checked luggage goes. To find out what would happen otherwise, read up on the DC-10 cargo door fiasco.

Salt on stains ... Yes, it absorbs liquids ('sucks' the wine or coffee out of the fabric), BUT it fixates colours on the fibres .... So be careful with this trick

MS Word 3.2 was the best version of this. The program + your system could fit on a floppy and everything just plain worked. Now, Word won't even READ the documents it's own program created before a certain date. Many thanks for Libre Office!

This one is ridiculous. Puts all the blame on the employee give them the bonus or promotion promised or give them the assistance to meet the targets. Sometimes the targets are so unrealistic they cant be met. That is on the employer not the employee
