There are thousands and thousands of people, both men and women, from their 20s to their 80s building and decorating dollhouses. If you want one, get one. I'm almost 70 and I'm currently building a split level. After that one is finished, I have a four-room cottage house I'm going to work on. Warning, though. It's an addictive hobby and can be pricy at times. But come to Greenleaf and join the forum. If nothing else, go to Pinterest and enjoy all the beautiful pictures of dollhouses.

I have one almost exactly like this that I got as a kid. We lived in a Victorian house so they picked one that was similar. My mom actually just refurbished it for my niece for Xmas. It's been sitting around gathering dust for 40 years now so I'm glad it has a new owner. :)

I'm not trying to be a downer, but I'd honestly be terrified to buy secondhand cat furniture, especially fabric/sisal. My cats are fully vaccinated against the major diseases, but I'd be so scared there's still something clinging to it that couldn't be easily cleaned/destroyed :x

Found this Frank Lloyd wright piece today at my local thrift store! Glass and lead. It was on the cart coming out of the back, but it never made it to the store shelves because I saw it first. For $5 it definitely came home with me in Chattanooga, TN.

Yesterday while wandering a favorite thrift store I spotted this amazing vintage crewel hand embroidery piece. I literally gasped when I saw it! The colors and detail and textures are all stunning. As a gardener and crazy plant lady it spoke to my soul and will forever be one of my most prized possessions.

Found this lightbulb at the rescue mission, was not expecting what happened when I flipped the switch now I have to find the perfect lamp for it. So beautiful, wonder how long these things last. Very unique never seen one before.

Don't bother holding back on it for fear of reducing its lifespan. This is an Aerolux lamp, which is technologically a neon gas-discharge lamp, and will last practically forever.

I have loved Cobalt glass items for years. In fact when went to talk to the people about buying their house found they had a plate shelf on the kitchen wall, I envisioned my small collection of Cobalt on it. We've moved and I have had to make do with my kitchen window ledge, but this past Christmas my son made me a display set of shelves to put more out, it's lovely with different levels and it really sets off the blues.

Just went by our local auction house, found this piece that didn’t sell in a previous auction so made a cheeky offer and it was accepted! It is a whopping piece of solid mahogany, carved with queen Victoria’s royal cypher and dated 1837/1897, it is a commemorative piece for her diamond jubilee, with carvings to represent the U.K.
