It takes something pretty incredible to stand out from the constant flood of superhero movies bombarding our movie theaters these days, but it looks like Wonder Woman has very much managed to forge her own identity in a cinematic world dominated by men. The film took over $100 million on its opening weekend in the US alone, which, somewhat ironically, beat Fifty Shades Of Grey for the highest grossing movie ever directed by a woman, and as you can see from this series of uplifting tweets, the film hasn't just succeeded financially; it's also had quite an emotional impact on audiences as well. Saw the movie...I get why this was such an important movie for women. I get it.Far as I'm concerned,one of the best superhero films I've ever seen,since Captain America... But this was different than any other I've seen,really. To all the women I've known,and the ones I don't...about time,you know?

I really love the fact that so many actresses and female famous people are supporting this movie and sending messages to patty jenkins, AND people that work at marvel are doing the same thing, chris evans, mark ruffalo, hemsworth, etc etc

Me too me too. Been looking for a decent poster which captures the scene where she strides into No Man's Land like a boss but that scene is not in the official images released so will wait. ^_^

If you want more Wonder Woman, ya'll should watch the original show with Lynda Carter as Wonder Woman. It's AMAZING! Also, Lynda Carter is an activist in LGBTQ+ rights and women's rights STILL in her mid 60's. I find so AWESOME that she is hyper-feminist on and off screen. Just a little random fact... Screenshot...17b01b.png
