Women’s Faces Before, During, And After Orgasm In Photo Series Aimed To Help Normalize Female Sexuality
Ah, the elusive female orgasm. We don't always talk about it, and not all of us have experienced it, but it deserves our love and appreciation nonetheless. Agreeing with an earlier submission on Bored Panda, Brazilian photographer Marcos Alberti is aiming to break up the dense fog surrounding the world of female sexuality, and is celebrating it in all its glory with The O Project - a steamy series featuring photos of women from all around the world before and after an orgasm.
Teaming up with women's sex toy company Smile Makers, Alberti called on models of all nationalities willing to explore their sexuality on camera, including those from more conservative cultures such as China and Singapore. "Our partnership with Marcos allowed us to create this orgasm faces series to upend that social stigma around human and especially female sexuality, and encourage the normalization of female pleasure," said Fan Yang, Global Brand Manager of Smile Makers. Each model was given a 'Smile Maker' and left to do her thing, and the 4 frames of each finished (pun intended) piece show the changes in their expressions as they reach the climax of pleasure, then ease into final relief.
You might want to make sure the 'coast is clear' over your shoulders before scrolling down, because here you'll find some of our favorite chapters of The O Project. As always, be comfortable with yourself, and don't let anyone shame you for what comes naturally (again, pun really intended).

whats with the rating system on these photos? are you rating the womens responses according to your own judgement of how she should express herself? are you rating her beauty? are you rating the photos ability to express the intention of the photo essay overall? Every single one is a beautiful capture these moments when women are at their most unguarded.
int he top right picture and the bottom left she looks like Dexter's sister - Debra Morgan !
First my wife now my girlfriend just what in the hell is going on here?
I think, it's about showing that female orgasms do NOT look like as orgasms shown in porn. Considering this, I agree that these pics help to normalize female sexuality.
I am not prude at all, but this makes me uncomfortable. 1. It's not authentic, regardless of whether or not they had real orgasms, the fact that they knew a camera was present, means there was filtering/posing to some degree. I also feel like a woman's face in the height of passion, is something very personal, and its not something that should be cheapened by exploitation. If guys did this, not only would it be terrifying, but most people wouldn't even click on it. I don't think this really normalizes anything, but really aims to arouse more than anything.
I dunno, female sexuality is everywhere, do we really need this? I mean, I'm not against these things, but I think this is a bit unnecessary.
Yes, a bit awkward viewing the list. I imagine my own face... I don't want to show it to the world, to be honest xD
I found the contrast between the first photo and forth photo is so powerful and heart melting! regardless of races, every single woman has a smile at the end this is absolutely stunning! And I just couldnt believe how many are missing the point and blame the photographer for their ignorance..
I guess from a male perspective, I like the fact that they put the discussion out there. It may be faked, it could be real. Either way it is very nice to see the idea behind this in that there is beauty in sexual pleasures. I find all of these very beautiful even if it were fake. I do not feel this is exploitation but rather truth. At least the face of a woman when they orgasm is extremely beautiful since there is a reason why they are making that face and it is for the pleasure. The best part is the smile they all have afterward. Beautiful. Guys look like giant monkeys being electrocuted.
It's not a new thing. Saw it a few years back. Maybe not the same "artist" but the exact same idea. I don't find anything interesting in seeing women coming, in fact it embarasses me, as it's an extremely private and intimate moment. And no, I wouldn't want to see men, for the exact same reasons. Throwing sex at us at every possible angle and under every possible cover long gone took down the TABU label from it. Leave such things for your own bedroom.
Watching this made me uncomfortable. I wouldn't want to see anyone's orgasm-face because to me that's a private experience. I don't get the point of this album. *CRINGE*
Does there always have to be a point? Art is personal. It's an expression of the artists soul - and often an exploration of their curiosity with the world. It shouldn't have to be explained or defended. If we're lucky, we experience the same discoveries the artist did. If not, we can still appreciate their art at face value. In this case, why not just celebrate the beauty that is woman?
Seeing how many women they found who would be comfortable doing this had the effect of normalizing that women can own their sexuality in a positive, for her own self, kind of way. Women are chronically being portrayed in media as sexual objects with the intention to arouse men. Even if those women in the media do arouse some few women too, my impression is, that is still not the intended audience. This takes the woman's personhood out of the center stage. This post puts it IN center stage. My favorite thing is seeing how happy the women are in the end. Orgasms release beneficial chemicals. Good reminder too go and have one ladies.
The photo was so clear and strong with commonality - the smile on the forth photo, I found the before/after, photo 1 versus 4 so powerful and it melts my heart! And yet it's disappointing so many people are completely missing the point and blame the photographer/work for their ignorance and mediocre.
ok here is a comment for all of you who are hating on this post... why the hell are you looking at it if it makes you "uncomfortable"? It is explained in the title what it is. These women obviously knew what they were doing when they agreed to do this, whether it is faked or not is irrelevant. Everyone has a different opinion of art is . Grow the hell up and quit being so damn butthurt
as a man watching this i think its great, better than those fake orgasms one sees on porn.
Maybe it's because I'm a lesbian but elusive and fog are not things I would associate with this topic. Maybe it's a heterosexual thing.
i wish this was more honest as im sure they held back their o faces and orgasms,, it looked like that. im here reading this and viewing it to help with my own self judgement on my O face, it didnt do much as they look like they arent doing much at all except a handful. i want to see the real deal like my own in the mirror to feel a bit more comfortable and not alone, normalized like it was trying to do.
All I know is that each and every one of the subjects has a big o'l smile on their faces when it's all said and done.... that can't be a bad thing.
Normalize female sexuality? Are you frigging serious?? For the past century all we've had is pussy, tits & a**e in our faces as a tool for advertisement for almost every kind of product/service/entertainment. As the old saying go's 'sex sells' i would think we need to the complete opposite in play.
I needed this. Every day on my feed there's a new series of photos of men after completion, glaring me in the face. It makes me think, "Why is this so normal? When will I ever see someone like me, a woman, in a photo series like this? Aren't I normal?" For leveling out the playing field, I thank you. Thank you.
I love this great concept😆 makes me giggle because we all make these faces😍💓✌🌈
Please don't make the male version, our stupid faces might not be something to admire XD
This is wonderful. This is the sacredness of orgasm...... the joy the joy the joy ! And what more natural pleasure could there be. It is such a gift. One tiny criticism. There are many many many women in their 50's & 60's & 70's & & & who enjoy sex and the pictured 22 here focused mostly on young women.
I´m not sure what there is to normalize, whoever think the female orgasm is a lie is a dumbass anyway that needs education, to say that women have no sexual needs is like claiming men don´t care for affection without sex or cuddles that will not lead up to sex.
I can't believe how many phoney LIARS are in these comments. The article states very clearly what the article is about and even gives photo examples. You can't see that and then click on it and go "why?". You clicked on it, dummy. That's why, and you clicked of your own free will and I guarantee you didn't just scroll to the bottom without looking so shut it!
Love This! We need more ideas like these! Also, all the ridiculous comments written under each photo just shows how far we still have to go.
Life has many, many dimensions and characters and reflect in physical behavior.
I wonder how they did this since it looks like all the women are standing up in a kind of stiff position.
Photographer Captures Women’s Faces Before, During, And After Orgasm TO USE SEX TO SELL HIS PICTURES. Let's call 'art' to anything.
Will this photo series sort out the housing and rental crisis ? Will it stop conflicts on this planet ? Will it control private guns in the USA ? What does it contribute to the debate on climate change ? New subtitles: Women being told, their car is parked bad, will be towed away at their cost, fined - and to their relief, it is all a hoax. Enjoy ...
All the photos are obviously fake, they have to be, after all female orgasms are just a myth, like thew Loch Ness Monster, the moon landings and a tasty KFC.
I was granted 3 wishes ,with my 2nd wish I wished for girls entertainment to be able to feel the pleasure when I climax in my wife both nuts at the same time, I wished pleasure on girls
Yeah, that made me feel bad. Those are some very discreet and presentable facial expressions, and the whole thing seems to be easy-breezy for these women. None of that goes for me, so I don't feel represented at all; rather, I feel more abnormal than I did before I saw this.
This is just odd. Are they all standing up or is that a photographic illusion? Could not imagine being comfortable enough to do this standing up with a photographer present. Just... odd.
What’s with the laughing in the after photos? It’s all a bit strange, tbh. Not sure this is doing anything to “normalise” female sexuality. What does that actually means? It’s not like it’s somehow abnormal now, is it?
You can't make me believe all women (like this group) bust a big smile after they orgasm. I don't think I've ever grinned like a simpleton after orgasming. If this is normal, I'm odd.
in times of #metoo the fact alone that is exclusively about women having an orgasm and a broad audience having access to it,as arty it might be(and i am in the performing arts myself)it feels a bit awkward... i am with you on this Amanda Panda
Numerous studies over the years have shown that men watching porn look first at the women's faces. http://www.science20.com/news_articles/gender_and_porn_where_men_and_women_look_first https://www.lehmiller.com/blog/2012/6/18/what-do-men-and-women-focus-on-when-they-watch-porn-the-answ.html Personally I find these images much more erotic than most of what is shown by most porn movies.
How is female sexuality not "normalized"? Every single one of us is the product of it. Also, I thought Brazilian women were supposed to be attractive.
um, for those of us who have never had sex or watched porn I guess? lolwut sorry the point of something like this is lost on me. Then again I have never understood clickbait.
This is so unnecessary. It’s something very personal and doesn’t need to be shown to the world.
I don't understand the point. Normalizing female sexuality. Given that a lot of babies are born every year, I think we are all pretty normal that women have sex. This seems to be a backdoor (no pun intended) way of legitimizing soft core porn.
