Beyonce has gone viral again but this time the focus is on duet partner singer Ed Sheeran. The pair took the stage at the Global Citizen Festival: Mandella 100 in South Africa to sing their collaborative rendition of “Perfect,” and Beyonce fans felt that more than his notes were off.

People have their own unique style. Sometimes, when we dress like everybody else, we aren't as happy as we would be if we dressed in our own style. Being unique is what makes a person a person.

They are singers... AND performers. Their music should be the main focus, looks are secondary, unless your outfit is part of an overall artistic concept. Speaking of which, I'd say each of the two artists are pretty much on point with their individual concepts.

This matter aside I would really like celebrities a whole lot better if they all dressed in a somewhat normal fashion, instead of trying the shock/impress over the top thing all the time

Nope. I'll take the glamour. It's much more fun. David Bowie slays as Ziggy Stardust, Sigue Sigue Sputnik's villainous outfits complete their fun and cartoonesque space-SF-rock'n'roll image. Early Manic Street Preachers with their exaggerated ladylike manly looks are iconic, and early Lady Gaga brought back the exuberance that was kinda lacking in the crossing of the centuries. Sure, various artists, various concepts, anyone can dress as they please, and none of this will make one artist better than another, since it's all arbitrary. But it's this diversity in stage fashion styles that adds more entertainment to the whole thing and that's what I appreciate a lot more, rather than all of them looking the same.
