A Florida woman was arrested after she allegedly ended her dog’s life at the airport when she was told she was unable to board the plane with her pet.
Alison Agatha Lawrence, 57, from Kenner, Louisiana, was at the Orlando International Airport on December 16 with her white miniature schnauzer, Tywinn, near TSA, when she was informed she didn’t have the correct paperwork to board with it, according to WFTV 9.

According to the police, Lawrence drowned her dog in the toilet of the women’s bathroom near TSA. She then threw the little canine into the trash, where a janitor allegedly saw her clean up water and dog food from the stall’s floor.
Surveillance cameras also captured the moment the woman exited the restroom without her dog 20 minutes after entering.
She re-entered the terminal and traveled to Bogota, Colombia, before then flying to Ecuador, according to the Associated Press.
The same janitor found the grim scene and immediately reported it to supervisors. As reported by The Guardian, the dog had a companion vest, collar, rabies tag, a dog travel bag, and a bone-shaped dog tag with Lawrence’s name and contact information.

Investigators were able to identify the dog due to an implanted microchip, and a necropsy determined the little schnauzer had been drowned.
Lawrence was arrested on Wednesday, March 19, in her home in Lake County, Florida, under the count of aggravated animal abuse — which is a third-degree felony.
She was reportedly released from custody pending the outcome of the case on a $5,000 bail. It is still unclear when she retired home or why she was bringing the animal with her.

As per WFTV 9, neighbors remembered seeing the 57-year-old with her white schnauzer during frequent walks around the area but hadn’t seen either of them lately and were shocked to hear the news.
“Someone that would do such things has got to be disturbed upstairs,” a neighbor told the outlet.
Netizens also expressed their horror online as the news broke.

“How did no one hear any noise from drowning an animal?” one user asked. “Those bathrooms are always busy, too. Poor dog, what a terrible fate.”
“So sick,” another labeled. “Makes me physically ill that there are people like this just walking around in this world.”
While each airline has its own specific rules regarding traveling with animals onboard, TSA states that most small pets are able to travel in the cabin of the aircraft with their owner and can be screened through security.

They are required to be in carriers and will be swabbed for explosives.
Beforehand, the owners will likely need health certificates and airline reservation, with many companies charging a pet fee.
Most airlines allow up to two pets, but some countries will not allow pets to fly in. All dogs going into the US need to fill out a form.

I am actually near-speechless, a rare state for me. This is abhorrent. I am furious at this woman. She could have literally abandoned the dog at the airport, ditched it, forced it onto a random stranger, handed it over to security; ANY of these options would have been better for the dog than just killing it in cold blood. Or just, you know, MISS YOUR FLIGHT, INSTEAD OF KILLING YOUR DOG? Plus, drowning is a (relatively) slow, torturous, painful, and TERRIFYING way to die, especially for an animal who cannot comprehend what is going on. She may have mental health issues, but killing a being that has emotions and feels pain is NOT excused by mental health issues.

What the actual fùck? What ? What? I've been dealing with a really ill cat since last Friday. Taken her to the vet a few days, literally held her while she was shītting all over me while crying and begging the universe for her to be okay. Even had to find some places that would come do home euthanization because I didn't want her traumatized going back to a vet. She's pulling through, but.... 🤬🤬🤬🤬 I can't even. Can't even! What a piece of human garbage.

This is such a disturbing story and it's hard to get me sick. There have been so many other things she could have done,how is killing your dog in such an awful way is even one of the top options??? It's also strange she would do that,obviously I don't excuse her actions but considering the dog had so many tags,rabies shot and all that,implies the dog was cared for and not neglected as most pets would be. It's an awful story,I can't imagine what the poor dog felt at those last moments...

Same here. It woulda been sooo simple to tie the leash to the arm of a chair and walk away, and instead did something that took a LOTTA effort. I’m thinking it was her boyfriend’s dog, she disliked the dog and hated her boyfriend, and resented having to bring it with her, and she displaced her anger with her boyfriend on the poor, helpless dog. That’s the only thing that makes sense, because people love *their* animals at minimum, and love every dog they see otherwise. I’m thinking she had NO attachment to this dog and had to genuinely despise either it or its owner to do something so unfathomably sick to it. The only other option is severe mental illness, but like I said, she had to have been fueled by anger and/or hatred for *someone* to go about it the way she did. 😰

That poor little dog, I can't imagine how scared it was. I'm trying to figure out why nobody in the bathroom heard it unless she was also strangling it at the same time. When she goes to court I hope the judge gives her the longest sentence with no chance for parole! Wouldn't be surprised if she ends up with her head in a toilet while she's in prison.

I don't get it..There was someone who cared for this dog,based of the things they found. So maybe it wasn't the dog of the woman, so there was no emotional bond? Otherwise I guess there had to be panic or a psychotic ( maybe based on d***s) to k**l a dog you really took care of..I wonder if they will find out

OH MY FREAKING GOD! THIS IS JUST PLAIN EVIL! PSYCHOPATHIC BEHAVIOR! I WOULD HAVE JUST GONE HOME INSTEAD OF DROWNING MY DOG! NOW I WANT TO SHOVE HER HEAD IN THE TOILET AND STUFF HER INTO THE D**N TRASH CAN! PIECE OF C**P! I CAN"T BELIEVE PEOPLE THIS HEARTLESS EXIST!

When we found a small white dog just running around on vacation a couple of years ago, we took it to the no k**l shelter. He now is living his best life after getting fixed and taken care of. You cannot imagine the fury I feel when I read something like this. JUST SICK!

Jail is too kind for that monster. She should get tortured and then have her end the same way as what she did to that poor dog: drowned in a toilet and dumped in the garbage. She is not even worthy to go in the garbage. Throw her corpse as food for wild animals
