Romanian Photographer Shoots Women From 121 Countries To Show That Beauty Is Everywhere
Beauty is everywhere and Mihaela Noroc, a Romanian portrait photographer is continuing her journey to prove it by traveling the world and photographing beautiful women. Her project is called "The Atlas of Beauty", and she posted the photos from 37 countries on Bored Panda roughly a year ago. Now, she is back with more beautiful pictures!
Beauty standards around the world can vary greatly, though sincerity and pure elegance, always wins compared to the ones depicted in social media.
"In the past two years I traveled around the world, and captured hundreds of portrait photography shots in diverse environments," she wrote on Bored Panda. "My goal is to show that allure is in our differences, not in trends, Beauty standards, money or race."
"Through my photography, I want to capture that feeling of warmth and serenity which is so specific to the most beautiful women in the world and comes to balance all the negativity we see in the media. I think people should be more aware of other cultures and beauty can teach us to be more tolerant."

I love these photos! The woman are all so beautiful and diverse. The nay -sayers complaining about countries/regions not being represented have clearly not considered the work and expense that goes into world travel. I am certain this photographer would love to continue taking these photos as they are able to travel to new locations- and I REALLY hope those get shared as well! Keep up the amazing work you are doing! And ignore the haters ;-)

While the photography is undeniably beautiful in and of itself the vision of beauty itself is rather narrow. Size, shape, hair, features are all strikingly similar. Is the artist saying their idea of beauty is itself likeness? Only one short haired woman, no larger built women, no body modifications. I'd like to see this photographer's talent more broadly applied.
Beautiful women and images but it makes me wonder if throughout the whole world are only thinner girls considered attractive?
Youth = beauty. It's really not that hard to shoot beautiful photographs when everyone is 18-25 years old. They're lovely but so are all young people. So I don't really get it I guess. Find me beauties in their 40s 50s 60s and beyond and I'm much more interested.
I cannot understand why so many people are so rude and with no common sense. A photographer is an artist and any form of art is a form of subjective expression. A painter has the right to choose if to paint a tree or a landscape, it is his choice, a piano player can choose to play Vivaldi or Beethoven, just as a photographer has the right to choose what to shoot. Small people sit on the sidelines and make all these negative comments, because in fact, they say more about themselves than about the artist.
Photographer: hey, world, I made this, The Atlas of Beauty! World: but all women are beautiful P: okay, so I'll name it The Atlas of Women W: but this is objectifying women P: okay, so I'll name it The Atlas of Men&Women W: what about the genderqueer people? P: okay, so I'll name it The Atlas of Humans W: this is so selfish, we are not the only species in this world, you know? P: okay, so I'll name it The Atlas of Living Creatures W: what about the rest of the world? it's the whole planet that matters P: okay, so I'll name it The Atlas of The World W: maybe we are not alone in this universe, you know? and there are other planets out there and stuff P: okay, so I'll name it The Atlas of The Universe W: what about parallel universes? P: Okay, I'm done with this. Bye.
There should be more European beauties :) Where is Polish, French, Italian, Portugal, Spain, Norwegian etc? Too much repeating countries :) It is just advice not criticism :)
I am confused by the point of these photos, is it a portfolio of pretty girls? Am I missing a message?
Beautiful women and beautiful pictures but they all more or less look the same. The lovely older gal from Ecuador and the woman from the Tibetan Plateau, China are the only two who have a different type of beauty. Unimpressed by this post, a bit disappointed to be honest.
Im beginning to think this publisher is Turkish or has a strong tie with Turkey as more than 5 women from turkey were shown but no Greek or Armenian.
They are all beautiful, but wow - many of them are barely out of childhood, and all quite similar types of beauty. I'm actually amazed that the photographer was able to find such similar looks in each country!
Gorgeous! The one thing I have to say, though, is that it follows the Western thinking that larger women might not be as pretty, since there isn't even one in there.
What gets me a little is the fact that nowhere in these 21 pages was there any woman from Armenia. I watched countries around Armenia being mentioned numerous times and yet not once an Armenian woman. Considering the fact that Armenians are their neighbors across the "lake" . It is disappointing
I thought it to be beautiful, each woman was and is different. We all come from different walks of life, countries, body size, garb, etc.
Why did you removed photo of Lithuanian girl? It was in a list hour ago.
Someone asked a guy, "Do you like tall girls, short girls, blondes, brunettes or red heads?" He said yes.
Was that the best you can do for Philippines? 👎🏼 There's a huge selection there and in the US, pretty much everywhere
These are kids to me, I dont think this is the way to feature beauty of women.
I like how Armenia one of your closest neighbors got left out. We are across the "lake " from you for Christ's sake. I saw multiple neighboring countries be mentioned numerous times but not once did I see Armenia, or Serbia
Thanks make-up and technology to magnify what is on focus but where are the real women of the street ? avoid the word "race" please, we are enough educated in the XXIe to know that all of us ,we are the human race.
Stunning, immense beauty. I looked at this like she was photographing beautiful ladies, I wasn't expecting any less. They are other worldy pretty, it seems like she did what she said. I'm upset about her choice of women, they're just stunning women. I feel like a basic boring white girl now ... haha. These women are goooorgeous!
I loved them all - the diversity and beauty is incredible. How about featuring some Canadians and First Nations? :)
They are very beautiful but the pictures are all from the same place... Like there is none from Denmark, Sweden, Norway, The Faroe Islands, Greenland or the like, that is kinda a bust :(
but #103 was like picked out from a photo album, and not that good tho. There's a lot of good shot of filipina beauties, i just think it was not the good one.
WELL THAT CERTAINLY WASNT ALL OVER THE WORLD AND THEY FAVORED EACH OTHER. MUST BE THE PICTURE TAKERS LIKES
I think it`s very nicely photographed, it could be used as a portafolio for models of different countries.
talented portrait photographer! Why are people so entitled, they feel it's public service to tell artists how to see the world "correctly"?
I agree with a lot of the posts, also wondering how there's only 2-3 people from the entire continent of Africa.
Romanian photographer, but no girls from Serbia?! We are neighbors for Pete's sake!
They are all truely breathtaking ,However in my opinion Brazil has the most beautiful people both men and women it must be something in the water
They r all gorg ,how ever Brazil has the most beautiful people in the world in my opinion men and woman
It is hilarious to see a majority of people criticizing the photographer for mainly capturing images of pretty looking girls. How about the fact that the artist simply decided to embrace her own criteria of beauty, or simply just the fact that after all, in order to make a living, she must generate attention with pleasant beings to look at. Are you guys r******d enough to blame National Geographic for choosing breathtaking scenery, instead of holes filled with pig s**t and piles of cow manure? If you are craving morbidly obese odd looking older woman with "" body modifications" and all, just google "people of Walmart". Or else, post your own collection of "unfortunatly ugly girls" and see how much interest you can get. Face it Trolls, it's called life.
We live in a world of beautiful, productive women and destructive men. It is so sad that young men grow into monsters so often.

Te felicit si astept cu nerabdare urmatoarele postari!
BRAVO MAN!!! Please, please, PLEASE tell me what lens you are using here? I'm guessing a 50mm 1.2, shot mainly at 2.2 - 3.2? What a GORGEOUS assignment... Thank you!!!
They are all lovely...but most are of the same look, thin, young with long hair. A limited view of beauty
The photographer took great photos of beautiful women. Doesn't necessarily mean that beauty is everywhere.
How could she go to Japan and not take a picture of a Japanese girl? wtf
I'm start thinking that actually is hard to find beautiful women in Mexico.
I think these are all INCREDIBLE, and I can't wait to see more from new countries [:
Love this idea, Love the cultural diversity Love the age diversity Just wondering where the size diversity is. 100 women and none are fat. Fat women can be beatiful too. Just sayin' Keep it up, but more curves too please
Superbe, Sa nu uitam ca fotografia este mijlocul suprem de a imortaliza in timp evenimente si mai ales persoane. Felicitari!
The comments here are so refreshing. Perhaps our idea of beauty really is changing. This body of work is indeed beautiful but all it seems to show us is that there are examples worldwide of the western conformity of beauty. I think we'd all be more captivated with a more expansive - and less objectifying - narrative. Where are the women with their lives etched on their faces and the fuller figure girls that are admired in so many cultures? Variety is liberating and age is earned and art has such a powerful opportunity to capture this and uplift us all. Because, let's face it, there's no shortage of beautiful pictures of the young and slender.
Where is Hungary, for instance? Romania borders us, I'm sure she's been here. It's not just us, there are many unrepresented countries around, yet she went as far as far east Asia and USA, Australia, somehow left out neighbors? But Romanian women are shown, as she's Romanian herself.

Truly beautiful and natural women, although I am not sure about England though as it should be proper british british person. And where are other countries' woman as there are only western and eastern side of the world and not in the central; for example France, Europe Russia, Greece, Spain, Italian, etc
i think the photographer does a great job of capturing the beauty and trying to capture the culture of those places too. I just wish there were more countries from europe, and maybe africa
Beautiful all, but I too would love to see beauty in all its shapes and ages celebrated.

Wonderful concept and imagery. I think the images choices for this blog should have included more of the diversity that is in the photographer's work. You can really see the diversity on the Facebook page, but the choices here show a much more narrow vision of beauty.
What about men? Sure these women are beautiful but men have a type of beauty, too. I'm bored with these types of photos. They are all so similar.
Very disappointing.... Same countries over and over again... Same features. Same size.
Yeah guys where are all the fatties?? Where are all the diabetics and ppl on the brink of heart disease?? Beauty is on the inside!! ... So many butthurt feminists.
Most of the girls look similar. Even their facial structure is very similar. All beautiful, though, but this isn't exactly a show of what other cultures view as beautiful as the photographer capturing what they think is beautiful.
kinda hates this article – none of the women are even the slightest bit over average in the weight department. And not a single one of them is a big girl. No body shame people – get with the program.
