Mom-Of-Six Explains Why “Men Cause 100% Of Unplanned Pregnancies” And Many Agree
An American mother of six has decided to share her opinion on a sensitive subject, and she’s not willing to compromise. Author Gabrielle Stanley Blair, 44, from Oakland, California, turned to Twitter to argue that unplanned pregnancy is always the man’s fault, no matter what the circumstances and her thread went viral.
“I’ve been working out the thoughts on unprotected sex and birth control I presented in the article over the last year,” Gabrielle told Bored Panda. “I actually wrote the thread about three months ago, and then hesitated to make it public — Twitter can be a harsh place, and I worried my family would be attacked.” Watching the Kavanaugh hearings, however, got her to hit publish.
Also, Blair is a Mormon, and she thinks that when it comes to abortion, her religious beliefs are on her side, too. “The Mormon church has guidelines that include abortion as an option for rape, the health of the mother, etc., and those exceptions can’t happen if abortion clinics are illegal,” she added. “My interpretation of the Mormon church’s take is that it is pro-legal abortion and contraception. Other church members may interpret things in favor of anti-abortion.
Generating nearly 185,000 likes and over 72,000 retweets, Gabrielle’s tweet reignited the ever-lasting debate and if you want to join it, tell us your thoughts in the comments.

Share on Facebookme and my wife have 2 kids, they were planned, they are beautiful, but the births were not great. but all is ok now. thankfully. now we don't want any more kids, so instead of her having to go through any more trauma (operations etc) I decided I couldn't let her go through anything as she'd been through enough, so I had 'the snip'. Best thing ever for us, no worries, no stress, just good ol' fashioned fun! It's not the answer for everyone, but it worked for us.
Stellermatt, your wife and your children are enjoying a husband/father who actually does what the stereotype of a husband/father does: you shoulder responsibility. You are not alone, but I would be enormously pleased to see more of your kind to come forward and openly talk about their life choices on topics such as this one, or discussions between men about how thoroughly unacceptable it is to beat your wife/partner/girlfriend, etc. Other men and boys need good and real role models. Thank you for sharing.
Load More Replies...I don't even know what to say. That whole post just explained everything. When a teenage girl gets pregnant, everybody blames her. But nobody bats an eye at the guy who got her pregnant.
Is it just me or are people wondering what role a woman apparently has in a sexual relationship as understood by Ms Blair? It seems to me that her approach removes agency from women as participating equal partners in sexual encounters and decisions.
Load More Replies...I stopped reading at "Men can't get women pregnant without an orgasm". I don't know where that lady took biologi lessons, but I was taught (and then witnessed it) that before orgasms men can produce droplets of substance that might contain spermatozoids. That also breaks apart the theory of pull-outs being effective. Heck, not even using pills & condoms is 100% sure. The only way NOT to get pregnant is not to have sex. Period. Oh two things more: woman can say NO (I refer to normal situations, not rape) and that thread was not a twitter one. Wall of text on twitter... Meh.
Also, she was not accurate in her statement that women can get pregnant only about 2 days a month. A woman can realistically get pregnant about 6 days a month. Sperm can live approximately 48-72 hours after ejaculation inside a woman's body, which means that 2 - 3 days before and 2 - 3 days after ovulation, there is a possibility of pregnancy. And to validate Alusair's post, the pre-ejaculate does have some sperm in it. One of the biological processes they teach us in medical school, first year.
Load More Replies...Well, there is a simple solution... just don't be with a man who refuses to put on condom, because he "hates the feeling". He does not respect you, he puts you in danger and himself first, simple as that. That would just end this debate. I can't say that men are 100% guilty of unwanted pregnancies as long as there are so many many (many) women who would just tolerate men who find condoms "inconvenient". And it's not just pregnancy, it's disease protection too. Just, respect yourself and when such men are left alone for too long they will start to get it (hopefully). Also they are not in majority, you will find someone else.
Just like to point out that the posts said some men do 'stealthing'. By the time the woman realises that he isnt wearing a condom anymore, it was too late.
Load More Replies...Look. She is trying to point out the inanity that is the agenda of certain men in society that believe women should not have easy access to birth control by demonstrating men's responsibility. Let's remember too that she is American, writing about the situation there, and she is the mother of 6 who clearly loves her husband but is tired of women being the focus on birth control when clearly, it should be men's concern too.
Give me a break. Bored Panda should stick to funny pictures or amazing photographs. This rant is beyond ridiculous. I am married and father of two. I had a vasectomy a month after my second child was born so that my wife would not have to be on birth control for the next twenty five years. Responsibility in an individual acts first. Still women can say no to a man, women can choose their partner and sexual activities as you say to remain celibate during those 24 annual days you mentioned. Women have a right to choose correct, then make the right choices. If my teenage daughter gets pregnant it won't be simply because a boy could not keep it in his pant (I would make sure he paid for his share of poor decisions) but it would ultimately be because she gave into her own sexual impulses and willingly participant. Every one is responsible for taking responsibilities for heir actions
You did the right thing. You shouldered responsibility. Great. You wrote about it here, and thus became a sound role model for boys and men reading this. Well done! - - - There is no need for you to become defensive, you have already made sure you will not cause any unwanted pregnancies. You are in fact showing the very same commendable male behaviour she is hoping for. - - - But she is still right on target. No woman gets pregnant without male sperm, and since you seem like a thoroughly decent guy your own decency is probably what gets in your way to understanding how way too many men treat women.
Load More Replies...There are a few flaws in her argument. For one birth control is not 100% effective, not even the pill and for another the fertile window for women is longer than 2 days, since sperm can live up to 5 days in the vagina. I do think she is on point that more needs to be done to hold men responsible for unplanned pregnancies.
While sperm lives up to 5 days in the fallopian tubes (not the vagina) the egg is only goof for up to 48 hours.
Load More Replies...Good lord I stopped half ways and scrolled and thought who da f**k has the time to read this s**t from a Mormon no less who thinks god is a magician from outer space? Eh I'll stick to my life's work in science and say you know how pregnancy work just look after yourself. So much of what she wrote is total nonsense but I don't have the energy to even start. The stuff she said about men pill is not strictly true. Several men on the medical trial committed suicide which shuts down any trial not just things for men. But what do I know I only work in pharmaceuticals and spent 9 years studying it?! Dip s**t!
Mormons don't believe that God is a magician from outer space; that's Scientology. And based on what I read, she isn't broaching the subject from a Mormon perspective, but rather sharing an extreme viewpoint as a way to draw attention to the fact that reproductive laws are geared toward the systematic principles of policing and controlling women, their bodies, and their right to make choices for themselves. Most Mormons (or any religion, really) would agree with reversing Roe-v-Wade, restricting birth control, etc; I think her mentioning that she's a Mormon is more for effect; basically stating "yea I'm Mormon but even *I* am more socially liberal than these other a-holes trying to take away our reproductive rights." While I agree that a lot of the "facts" she uses are nonsense, I get the overall point she's trying to make. Too bad some people are too short sighted to see past her religion and resort to name calling instead.
Load More Replies...For all those insisting the Male Pill was "worse", etc.? Use of the female pill can lead to *CANCER* risks. I'd say that's a pretty bad side effect (and infertility from cancer treatment, btw, is a real thing)... For thsoe thinking "unless a woman was raped"... Um, I'm a "pill baby". My parents thought I wasn't going to happen. I did anyway! (And then my mom said, "condom or vasectomy" and my dad actually went vasectomy lest he have to use a *gasp* condom). TMI? How many *MEN* die in childbirth or of pregnancy-related complications? How many MEN lose jobs b/c they got a woman pregnant and bosses decided it just wasn't worth that family-leave impaired-employee thing? Oh, and for the record? Women are much more likely to acquire an STD from a male than other way around after *one* sexual encounter. Look it up. BTW, it only takes ONE person to make a baby --- once the sperm is in, the man's *done*. The woman? Has to risk permanent damage to her own health to gestate a fetus to term.
Except that condoms sometimes break. Also a woman can refuse to have sex without a condom. Both partners are equally responsible for any conception that occurs during consensual sex without birth control sabotage.
Women should not ever have to be in a position where they ask their partner to put a condom on and she has to insist or "refuse to have sex" because her partner refuses to wear on. The fact that women have to insist or refuse is what's wrong. The fact that another woman thinks that women should have to insist is what's wrong.
Load More Replies...*Disclaimer: read this comment until the end* There's a lot of trully good men out there. Men who actually empathize enough to understand the female mind (because we're all humans), even our bodies (ex.: gynecologists). Men who are aware of what they can do/cause, and who will therefore take ALL the precautions, and who are ready, just in case, to take full responsibility if something goes wrong. I'm almost sure those men will agree with this woman's statement and that all those irresponsible a******s should be lectured (or even punished, as I actually heard from men). Edit: okay, maybe not with this woman's statement, but definitely about the part about a******s...
I'm not sure how I feel about this thread. On the one hand, the 100% blame is patently untrue. The argument only makes sense in cases where the woman asked the man to wear a condom or pull out, and he didn't. In real life, condoms break, pulling out fails, and lack of education is rampant. Also, sometimes women prefer no condom, perhaps hoping their pill will work, and perhaps it doesn't. There are many ways that unwanted pregnancy can happen, and not all of them are entirely the man's fault. On the other hand, this thread has a tonne of interesting arguments and probably nobody would read it all if it lacked the hyperbole.
Ah, you said the word, the word the Patriarchy of America hates with a passion: education. Yes, if we had the proper education about sex in schools we would have far fewer unwanted pregnancies and far fewer a******s denying their side of the responsibility for making babies. But the fact remains that most boys are brought up to believe whatever they want, they can have, be it that nifty bike or unprotected sex--and anything that results, be it a car accident from cutting in front of someone or a baby, is not their fault. Individual parents correct this, but as a whole, sorry, that's America.
Load More Replies...This is a non winnable debate (thanks, Panda) but I'd like to point out that medical sites say women can get pregnant 6 days a month not 2.
It's because sperm can live up to 5 days inside the woman, and ovulation occurs over 2-3 days, you only ovulate once per menstruation. Usually every 28 days. A woman does not even need to be having sex, for the sperm to remain alive and impregnate her days later.
Load More Replies...Wow... I have not read such a culmination of generalising hatred in a while. This woman disqualifies herself by speaking of "all" man, besides having a fundamentally crooked understanding of biology, law, and ethics, to name just a few. Moreover, what she proposes applies only to the US. Did we not just have this series on argumentative fallacies? She gives examples for nost of them. However, the most important thing is: I comr here to read nice stories, to enjoy art, and to see puppies. Who else?
Then limit yourself to those, and eschew intelligent conversation.
Load More Replies...Wow, could this lady played the victim card any harder...?? She seems to forget one very important idea, consent. Here's where women share the blame, a women can easily say NO, I will NOT have sex without a condom. NO condom, NO sex, NO unwanted pregnancy (not counting the rare times condoms don't work, something like 3 or 4%)
Yea well then there's times when women say no but men who are pigs decide to advance on them and then they're never the same, and sometimes there's a pregnancy
Load More Replies...She immediately lost credibility with that mathematical "theory". Women can only initiate a pregnancy 2 times a month, but men can initiate a pregnancy 1000+ times a year? Give me a break, this is not a representation of reality. Men are certainly more capable of controlling the pregnancy (pullout, condom control) and have less at stake in the circumstance, but to say that they are 100% responsible just sounds like spiteful accusation.
Men are 100% responsible for their part in the unwanted pregnancy. News flash, women are 100% responsible for their role as well.
yess but their parts are not equal men 80 women 20
Load More Replies...I had a vasectomy and I'm glad I did. But I still think pregnancy takes two. A girl can keep a condom too, and she can deny having sex without it.
her point wasn't that before sex he would take off the condom its that during sex he would take it off without her consent or knowledge
Load More Replies...Look, I mostly agree with her. She pointed out things I didn't really want to realize because now it makes me even madder than before. BUT. What is it with people thinking that writing a university thesis worth an article in a twitter thread is a good idea? Gosh... (I know, I know...focusing on the important things in this, am I...)
I took responsibility by taking the pill, having a diaphram, using the sponge (so very sad it disappeared) etc. It's my body so I protected it from unwanted pregnancies. Fine if the guy used condoms, but I wasn't counting on that...
Not sure you should be taking advice from a woman who's religion did not allow black people to be ordained to the priesthood until 1978, and taught that black skin was a curse from God until 2013. Yes, 2013.... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Black_people_and_Mormon_priesthood
I hope you're not taking this in comparison to Christianity? I don't know every sect, but fully half of Christianity is Catholic and you *still* can't ordain a female Catholic priest. In fact, as of 2011 Rome remains the ONLY place in the world where women can't vote - because you have to be a cardinal to vote, and women can't be cardinals. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ordination_of_women_and_the_Catholic_Church https://www.bustle.com/articles/105598-theres-1-country-where-women-cant-vote-its-seriously-time-for-it-to-break-with
Load More Replies...Humans can conceive at any time throughout the month. It's the reason why we have such heavy and frequent menstrual cycles, and why we don't have a mating season. It's just that during ovulation, which is a range and not a solid "2 days", there is a higher chance. Also to say that condoms don't effect pleasurable sex for woman is a gross generalization. They can completely become arousal killers and feel like nothing's happening down there for some women. That being said, the burden of an unwanted pregnancy is unnecessarily placed on women. The balance does need to shift as she is right that men are the only ones who can cause an unwanted pregnancy. But you really can't take away ALL responsibility from women.
This would only be true if she was talking about rape pregnancies.
Men can ejaculate without having an orgasm. In fact it happens quite often. Although I agree that men claim to hate condoms and many unplanned pregnancies happen because of women being coerced into not using a condom, I don't see the point in vilifying men and going on a tirade about who can cause more pregnancies per year. That is clearly a one sided argument and an emotionally biased spiel. Both sides are responsible.
She clearly has never experienced any country of the european union- here you get a sex ed if the parents agree or not; here you always learn about the evolutionary theory from darwin and never the "god created the world" thing. And altough more sex ed is needed- if all people know how to get pregnant- there will be less unwanted pregnancies. It is about education not about shaming a person (which is also less common here (does exist but less common)
Just proving that the countries of the european union are more intelligent than the good ol' "God-fearing" (what a joke!) America.
Load More Replies...Has she ever heard of tubal ligation? 99% effective. I was 26 with two children, I have no regrets. I am 43 now.
My dad underwent vasectomy after my brother and i were born as he didn't want my mother to go under the knife. This was way back in 1963 and in India. Hats off to you dad. May you rest in peace.
I think she's right. The anti-choice people do seem to only care about punishing a woman for having sex.
I disagree that it's 100% the fault of men that unwanted pregnancies occur. Apart from rape, sex is normally between two consenting adults. If both parties know there is a risk of an unwanted pregnancy, STD's or STI's as a result of having sex, they are both equally responsible for the outcome whatever it may be. And you forget that the pill is not the only measure to prevent pregnancy. Others include female condoms and diaphragms are readily available to prevent unwanted pregnancy.
From a very early age I knew I would not have children. I just knew. That feeling did not change with time. I have never once been on the pill. As a teen and young adult I controlled sexual situations by taking as much care as I could. I carried condoms and was careful. I have never had a pregnancy scare and am now in a loving marriage with a hubby who has had the snip, which works for us both. As a natural therapist, I have helped parents and teens to educate themselves and have conversations about sexual emergence, supporting them in whatever their decisions about contraception were. This journey is personal but SO important. Knowledge is power. There are many paths and while I agree there are other sides to this issue, (outside of rape, stealthing etc) whether you are a woman or man you are both part of the amazing experience of sex. Stand for yourself, your beliefs and for the child that may come and take some responsibility for your own body.
Yes all women should be strong. Sadly they're not and to be saying that she is responsible in a situation where her new partner refuses and conversely if she gets pregnant it's her fault is not helpful. We should be educating everyone to use a condom for sexual encounters but the fact that women have to insist is wrong and the fact that stealthing happens tells you about the state that we are in.
Load More Replies...Having read the comments, an awful lot of you seem to lack reading comprehension, so let me explain. It is biologically IMPOSSIBLE for a woman to get pregnant without someone or some THING, injecting sperm into her vagina. Sperm comes from males, THEREFORE 100% of pregnancies are caused by men. THAT'S biology. It's ALSO biology that a man MUST 1- get an erection, 2- ejaculate which means, 3- experience pleasure. A woman needs NONE of that. There were times when I was married, and woke up in the morning wondering where the stain on the sheet came from!! THEREFORE why should all the blame be put on the woman? Why NOT hold the males accountable?? To those of you who think this article (for lack of a better word) is man bashing, MEN NEED TO BE BASHED!! Ever since Adam took a bite out of the apple, you men have been blaming women for all of your short comings. Caught cheating on your wife? Hey, not MY fault!! She came on to ME!! What was I supposed to do? Try WALKING AWAY
You mean when EVE took a bite out of the apple?
Load More Replies...I agree 100% - even if she is inaccurate on one or two small points, the overall discussion is correct. Men are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. And yes, having had 3 sons, I can agree pregnancy is not wonderful, giving birth is not pain free, and it results in permanent physical changes for the mother. My ex refused to have a vasectomy so I had my tubes tied. Not easy or pain free, either, but I never had to worry about getting pregnant again.
I am in total agreement with the author and have thought the same for many years. I have noticed though that whether a man uses a condom has been made a responsibility of the woman. If she is willing to have sex without a condom for his pleasure or too timid to insist on it, it becomes her fault. It almost seems that everything is the woman's fault.
You can shout all day long, but nothing will ever be done as long as men are ruling our planet
I applaud this. She is so on point. The only reason a woman ever gets an abortion is because 1. rape 2. a man didn't want to step up 3. mutual decision between parties, but because the man slipped. She's right it's men's fault but God forbid yall take some responsibility! Yall would rather shame a woman and tell her what to do with her body rather than do something about it yourself. We women have to suffer most of our lives physically and yall would rather continue that trend than do anything. OMg I need to meet this woman. She's my hero.
Whoah, no one ever told me this! Here I thought making a baby took two people, it actually only takes a man. We've been wrong this whole time, people!
Awesome rant. Nice and short. however I've also had women tell me they don't want to have sex with a condom. Because it's either too interupting or they don't think it feels nice. So I believe this story is a bit one sides. I always advocate for using condoms because then at least I have somewhat of a control or pregnancy. And don't have to rely on women "forgetting" the pill. I think there are people on both sides that won't want to use condoms. Can we stop making this a woman vs man argument?
I had a vasectomy and I'm glad I did. But I still think pregnancy takes two. A girl can keep a condom too, and she can deny having sex without it.
Basic fact: It takes two to tango and so two parties are responsible for any result. Be it a baby or a rabbit.
So when will men start taking responsibility for unwanted pregnancies?
Load More Replies...yeah... again this is Men bashing. why men bashing it's ok these day? yeah man has responsability. if they didn' t put condom they're stupid but woman too has responsabitly
ONLY the man can control his ejaculation. The most responsible woman in the whole world can Not Be Responsible for Where and When her partner ejaculates. - - - Why do all men here not see that she is not "men bashing" when she is talking about this very particular topic: the Where and When of ejaculation, which as a consequence leaves the woman at risk of an unwanted (or at least unplanned) pregnancy or not. If I were a man I certainly would try to do my very best to avoid both sexually transmitted disease and the possibility of unwanted pregnancy. Why are you all getting so upset? - - - Add to that the fact that she is an American, where it is often very difficult to get an abortion legally, and where abject poverty is often the future for a single mother.
Load More Replies...Don't talk for 100% of men! You don't know 100% of men on this planet? What about the women who say they are on birth control but aren't just so they can get pregnant. Yhis post angers me!!!!
My goodness, I never imagined a nice Mormon Lady could ever talk like that! And by the way, I fully agree with everything she said.
At first, I wasn't sure I agreed with this, but the more I read the more I said "yes"! I have four children, a couple sort of unplanned, but all wanted and loved by both my husband and me. When it came to the point of no more pills because of the side effects he very willingly had his tubes tied. I wanted to (in case of rape or something horrible happening) but he said it would be easier on him than me. One of my sons has already has his tied to protect his wife. I know they made a responsible choice for the sake of the women in their lives and it makes me proud. Too bad a lot of men can't, or won't do the same because it might affect their "manly" status.
wow, I see why she has 6 kids. Take some responsibility for your pregnancies
I'm kind of sick of the way that issues that don't fall stictly along gender lines are still fought by some as if they are, not all men are pro life and not all women are pro-choice, can we plase acknowledge this. Men are 100% the cause of unwanted pregnancy what sort of stupid logic is this? I cannot even bring myself to read the rest of this c**p, this woman needs to get off the internet.
Sorry but not in 2021, or 2020 or 2000, or 1990 or 1980 etc. - Maybe in 1950 but even then women are nothing more than gits who refuse to take responsibility for their actions. The Pill is widely available as are multiple forms of contraception that require NO actions by men.
A friend of mine just went to another man's funeral. He killed himself. I don't know why, probably more than one reason, but I do know he and his girlfriend had a baby he didn't want. The woman lied to him about being on birth control. Does that count as an unwanted pregnancy that's the man's fault, too? The woman is now grieving by going out drinking leaving relatives to care for the baby. Everything is mens' fault and men have no reproductive rights.
I don't know if her "100%" statement is hyperbole or if she really believes it. Both genders obviously bear some of the responsibility when consensual. However, this is well worth the read, as the supporting points really highlight how society wrongly puts way more responsibility on the woman than the man, and why. For just one example, a men's Pill was rejected because of side effects—which were 1/3 the amount of the woman's version. Revealingly, it was said in an NPR interview about this, "But there's a little bit of a different risk-benefit analysis when it comes to men using a contraceptive. When women use a contraceptive, they're balancing the risks of the drug against the risks of getting pregnant. And pregnancy itself carries risks. But these are healthy men — they're not going to suffer any risks if they get somebody else pregnant." The fact that men don't have any bodily risks, and the patriarchal nature of society, combine to cause this skewed responsibility.
And it is NOT easy for women to shoulder it. On the one hand, women are expected to keep themselves from getting pregnant. On the other hand, there is strong conservative and religious pressure to limit their options for avoiding pregnancy. Sure, women can keep condoms on them, but there isn't a guarantee that the man will use it, or pull out, because it's "slightly" less pleasurable. It is ridiculous to have to be on the pill because of this (especially for teen girls), which as pointed out, has tons of side effects. But that's what they have to do.
Load More Replies...Pleeeease tell me this woman is either joking or completely insane..!!! The second you consciously / consensually let a man's condomless penis inside your vagina, that makes you 50% responsible for whatever may happen to you!! Unwanted pregnancies (in consensual sex) are 100% caused by IRRESPONSIBILITY, 50% men's, 50% women's! That is it!!!
So women have zero responsibility in the matter and the evil men are mean a******s. Good lord she is bitter!
I'm not sure who made her an expert but she is not. Some of her facts are skewed, especially about the # of days a female can get pregnant. However, most of her fact-slinging is just gaslighting. Unplanned pregnancies are NOT 100% mens fault. She talks about condoms but those are not fool-proof. Without bringing assaults into this, if a woman doesnt want a pregnancy then don't let a penis anywhere near her v-jay. If a man seriously doesnt want a pregnancy, he shouldnt put his penis near any females. That's all good on paper but not realistic either. So both genders need to make sure they're using 2 forms of protection. If an unwanted pregnancy STILL happens...then starts another discussion.
dayum. I was all about to disregard this as another railing feminist ost, but I read everything and damned if she isn't dead on right and rational about all of this. I'm shocked.....we all have been taught, men and women, that sex is mostly for the men's pleasure (as a married woman of 21 years, this is 99% correct, unfortunately for me). Ladies, take your bodies back !
There are other associated associated problems that might be solved if every boychild were to be given a vasectomy. Overpopulation, for one. And it would probably eliminate welfare babies. Think about it.
The women who undergo tubectomy are far much in number than man going vasectomy (which are largely irreversible). Even when vasectomy is much safer, less painful, easier, cheaper etc etc. Point being man think somehow not being able to father children is a direct link to their 'manliness'. Abortion is a choice and even though I will never force it on anybody. I do encourage it. It's far better than having children when u are not ready to take care of them or have too many already. All because of a stupid notion in my country which is prevalent that, " God exists in children and therefore they should not be stopped from coming into this world" even if the 'god' after being born lives in poverty, abuse and grow up to be a trash and a burden . And even when resources of Earth are limited and it will be much easier on everyone if they were distributed among 5 humans rather than a 100. At least the 5 can be happy. Even if all 100 are good and deserving, who can never be happy.
I know that Mormons also believe in the Bible, so how does she blame the activities of Genesis 19:30-38 on Lot (the man in this instance)? It reads "30 And Lot went up out of Zoar, and dwelt in the mountain, and his two daughters with him; for he feared to dwell in Zoar: and he dwelt in a cave, he and his two daughters. 31 And the firstborn said unto the younger, Our father is old, and there is not a man in the earth to come in unto us after the manner of all the earth: 32 Come, let us make our father drink wine, and we will lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father. 33 And they made their father drink wine that night: and the firstborn went in, and lay with her father; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose. 34 And it came to pass on the morrow, that the firstborn said unto the younger, Behold, I lay yesternight with my father: let us make him drink wine this night also; and go thou in, and lie with him, that we may preserve seed of our father.
35 And they made their father drink wine that night also: and the younger arose, and lay with him; and he perceived not when she lay down, nor when she arose." 36 Thus were both the daughters of Lot with child by their father. 37 And the first born bare a son, and called his name Moab: the same is the father of the Moabites unto this day. 38 And the younger, she also bare a son, and called his name Benammi: the same is the father of the children of Ammon unto this day." So, either Gabrielle Blair is right and the Bible is wrong or the Bible is right and Gabrielle Blair is wrong. Which is it, Gabby?
Load More Replies...This is ridiculous. 1/ It takes two to Tango : if a woman ends up with an unwanted pregnancy, it's because she too decided to have sex. 2/ Birth control fail : 75% of all abortions are done on women under birth control that failed (ALL of them fail, and the pull out that she's praising so much is the worst of them all) 3/ Men can ejaculate without having an orgasm and can have orgasms without ejaculating 4/ a mom of six lecturing us about abortions and birth control ? REALLY ??!!
As far as I know sperm is useless without an ovule... This whole rant is just stupid. I won't argue with the fact that women have the biggest burden with unwanted pregnancies, but trying to b***h about "unwanted pregnancies" are men fault is sexism and clearly just STUPID, YOU as a woman have the decision on having unprotected sex (I won't comment on rapes since its not what the original twitter "article" [lol] is about). Who says that a woman can't buy condoms? Again another sexist reference. The overall message I get from this stupid misandric rant is that women are "powerless to men desire", we should be empowering women and this "article" clearly does the opposite, shame on you Bored Panda.
To those choosing to use this comment section to engage in petty arguments and abusive language... Here is a helpful reminder: You can choose to read a post and decide whether or not you agree or disagree, then share that decision in the comment section and simply Move On With Your Life!
Safe sex, and preventing unwanted pregnancy and important ideas. That said the rest of this BS is pure BS! Men are 100% to blame because individally men have a higher capacity to reproduce than women individually do, unsound nonsense. Women are incapable of stocking up condoms I guess. To apply this ideot logic to birth defect: women must by 100% to blame. Don't agree? Let me explain, women give birth to children, some children have birth defects, where men do not give birth at all, and so don't contribute to any birth defects whats so ever, so women are 100% to blame for birth defects (with this idiotic logic).
sorry, but what ´s that bullshit? if you don´t want to risk getting a baby, use a condom. if the man pressures you to not do it, then it s your responsabilty to say no. and you better walk away from an ashole like that. you don´t HAVE to sleep with him. What the f**k^^ I mean what a really bullshit article. of course you are responsible for not getting pregnant as well. normally it´s two people having sex with each other.
She manages to argue against herself, which is very Karen of her. She realises that that it takes 2 people to make a pregnancy (2 people to act responsibly) and that there are condoms available. This woman is a total waste of time and I'm so glad not to be her.
blah blah blah blah.... yep guys are 100% responsible. Females have absolutely NO part in it at all. I mean how did they get pregnant?
I find it hard to have any respect for someone who has chosen to have six children. Quite simply, there are too many people on this planet.
33, never took the pill and happy with it. Always used condoms till i met my now husband. We known each other 16 years before starting a relationship and 2 months in he already had a vasectomy... a year later we married and we never ever looked back. It is so much safer, no worries, no strain on any of other bodies and minds and the sex is better because of it too! No more worries, ever! I really hope more men will take the step when both know they don't want children or already have the amount they want. :)
Ridiculous and very biased statements. Oral contraception for women sure has a lot of side effects but that is exactly the reason it isn't so easily accessible and you need a prescription. For a man to wear a condom is simple and if he is responsible he shouldn't find it such a problem. If he is your stable partner then just discuss that you don't want to have child right now and obviously you won't have sex without protection. If he is not such a stable partner and thinks only with his lower head, then find someone else. The condom in this case is not only for preventing unwanted pregnancy but stds as well. There are more than one or two ways for contraception, for women, there are women's condoms, diaphragms, etc. They may not be 100% effective but still, they are a way to prevent most unwanted pregnancies. The writer sounds too entitled and biased. You can't blame only men. The woman can say no to the sex or can use personal contraception (other than oral contraception).
I would love to thoroughly go through this article, point by point, to itemize each and every (many) point/accusation/incorrect fallacy. I really would. Even if I "mansplain" (or whatever buzzword is used this week) a bit but I fear really diving into her (ridiculous) points, and trying to understand where she is coming from would make me physically ill.
I'm a divorce lawyer. Failure to pay child support where I live definitely impacts an obligor's credit, it is a debt that can't be bankrupted out of, is a valid judgment for 25 years, and, if not paid, the state will suspend drivers licenses, hunting licenses, seize tax refunds, revoke passports and on occasion seek criminal contempt charges. Maybe the joke about the child support system is that mom's don't ask the state to help them collect it or they got knocked up by someone with no or minimal income to pay support (usually the support amount is determined by income). That said, she's got a good argument.
Goodness you just given me quite an education. You are so right. And your insights are so appreciated
There are soooooo many wrong/incomplete things about this whole gigantic thread of a post! But I'll stick to this point: Unwanted pregnancy (when sex is consensual) is 100% caused by IRRESPONSIBILITY!! And that is divided as such: 50% man's, 50% woman's!! That is it!! The second you let a man's condomless penis enter your vagina, you are 50% responsible for whatever may happen to you!!! So, unless you didn't allow that that to happen, you are just us much responsible as he is!! You have to be responsible for your own body and take your own precautions, because noone is gonna do it for you!!
I'd be interested to read the flip side of the coin - the proposition that men are responsible for 100% of planned pregnancies...
Stupid. Man and woman are both responsible. Women should say no to the man if he doesn't want to use protection, instead of trying to build themselves up in the men's eye. Unless you getting rape, women are just as responsible as men.
Wow, just wow. The ignorance and lack of education here is apparent. She completely ignored the fact that many unplanned pregnancies are result of birth control mishaps. Often because the women's reproductive system overrides the mechanism that prevents ovulation. If a woman ovulates when she is expecting not to because of the medication, it is not because of the man, it is because of some discrepancy with medication. This has happened a lot with women who were on board the whole 'activated charcoal' fad without readin enough into what the charcoal actually does. It absorbs other medications. So if a woman is on birth control and takes activated charcoal it negates the birth control, meaning it is the fault of the woman who has not looked into the real effects of something that they are told is good for them.
so I went back and read this with my partner. I missed the part the first time of the recommendation of "pulling out". I disagree with this advice given the fact that I have known several teens and women that have gotten pregnant by this supposed method of control. This should really not be a part of birth control advice, as it is not fool proof.
I wish I could give this brave and next article 100 stars! For most of my long life I have bitterly resented the lopsided benefits men get from sex, while we woman suffer unimaginable pain. For every pregnancy the man has had the pleasure of an orgasm. For many women the act of sex is to please or pacify her partner. For many it is painful and devoid of pleasure. But to admit this is to immediately be labeled “frigid” or “abnormal”. Now let’s have some honesty about a woman’s genuine feelings. How many enjoy giving oral sex? How many want a tongue rammed down their throats. How many have subtly suggested what they enjoy, only to have their desires ignored. Speak up, ladies. Just speak UP!
If you claim men cause 100% of irresponsible ejaculations, and you let them in, that means you are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancy. If you hold a red crayon, and draw on a paper with it, expecting yellow color, you are 100% responsible for red line, and you don't blame crayon for not drawing the way you desired, when you already have the knowledge of how it works. Ejaculations and intercourse are two separate things.
I guess I'm in the minority which is pretty scary, particularly when I saw how many people on Twitter agreed with Ms. Blair's article, if you want to call it that. I'm 52 and have one child. I was on birth control over 30 years and never had a problem remembering to take it or any side effects. I'm not saying some people don't have side effects but there are so many options out there, it's just ridiculous. To put the blame or the responsibility on just the guy is frankly an insult to women and this is supposed to be an empowering piece for women? I've been in the journalism business since the 80s and I don't see it as empowering at all.
I have the feeling that after this, men would be referring to her as 'the blair witch' of pregnancies.
One reason more women need to run for government positions. We also need to educate young men that their pleasure is not worth the risk of someone's life.
To clarify: 1) An egg lives an average of 24 hours. Some studies say up to 48 hours. 2) Sometimes women can release a 2nd egg. This is usually within 24 hours of the 1st. Hence, unidentical twins. Now, we have up to 3 days after the 1st ovulation. (Give the 2nd egg up to 48 hours of life.) 4) Sperm can live up to 5 days, but the average is ~3 days. The life of both egg and sperm are longer depending on the healthiness of both individuals. 5) The most fertile days for pregnancy are 2 days before and the day of ovulation. ***The pregnancy window for coitus can be up to 5 to 8 days due to up to 5 days for sperm viability after coitus and possible release of a 2nd egg having up to 48 hours. That's 5 days for sperm before ovulation, day of 1st ovulation, and 2 days after if 2nd ovulation occurs.
stop writing books via twitter !!! open a blog and share the link. This is unberable and tedious to read. couldn't go through it. Btw this basicaly mean that those 100 percent times have been rape. If you are in a situation where a man did sexualy assaulted you or enforced you to do anything you refused, then I call it rape. Husband, boyfriend, stranger... Any of them .
It is an interesting view and can make you look at a different point of view and I found other
I have to say first up, that although there are some inconsistencies in a two or three things she talked about, Gabrielle, made some extremely good and valid ppints that should be aclnowledged and most definitely not ignored. I do, however, want to share a personal scenario. My wife and I have sex like every other normal, loving couple and we have been together for 25 years. Around the 15 year mark, we both lnew the loyalty and faithfulness was there, and we didn't use condoms. It wasn't a reason of more pleasure or interrupting the flow of intimacy or anything like that why I didn't, it was just because we decided yhat the pull-out method would suffice for us and she actually liked it without a cpndpm and I was ok with that as I really had no preference. One day wjen we were having sex, she was on top and me on my back. Other times when this was the position where I ejaculated I would tell her I was there and abput to shoot, and she would slip off and hug in to me before I did so...
Its not the fat persons fault, 100% of all fat is caused by calories.
100% of all fat is caused by calories. Its the calories fault not the fat persons.
All the comments are 2 years old. However, one fact she didn’t mention is that a pharmacist can refuse to fill birth control prescriptions if it’s against their religion making it that much harder for women to get birth control.
Actually, women cause 100% of unwanted pregnancies. Yeah, controversial, huh? And yes, I'm male, so go ahead and burn me at the stake. Or hear me out... Your choice. (And no, that's not my actual FULL opinion! 100% for abortion rights, and men controlling their part of pregnancies.) What Gabrielle Blair is doing is using 'stupid logic' to tip the see-saw the other way, saying 'men oppressed women, so now we get to take revenge'. Nope, not buying that, sorry. It's a shared responsibility, it literally takes two for a pregnancy, unwanted or not. If you or your partner aren't using protection or have agreed on 'pulling out', then cross your legs, it's that simple! Then you wont get pregnant, and wont need an abortion. But, applying Gabrielle Blair's 'stupid logic', "women don't want that... They want sweet lovin..." If you let a men between your leg's you're 100% responsible for the consequences, period. Note, we aren't talking about rape, or a coerced situation. That's another thing.

Gabrielle Blair's ideas are irrational and evil. She is obviously quite insane.
Gabrielle Blair's ideas here are both irrational and evil. She is obviously insane.
Kudos Gabrielle for having the courage to publish your thoughts. I'm shocked women are replying with insignificant comments about things like how long an egg lives or that women are culpable too. Duh! You documented that thought by specifically sayng people are probably saying It Takes Two (in your initial comment!). So, I'm not going to respond to all the replies pushing the focus further away from your views. I just wanted to let you know I Get Your Point. I know you understand the other side of your own argument, you are just making the point, What about the man? Without him the pregnancy couldn't occur and he has little interest in thinking of that consequence. And You were trying to point that out, since we are reminded daily of woman's role and ultimate responsibility Again, What about the mans role? Thank you for the refocus on this topic.
This is post is way to long. I didn't finish but I'm ashamed of this woman who claims to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
sincerely i was so crushed when my Husband of 8 years left me and moved to Quebec City to be with another woman. The pains was just too much for me to bear that I couldn’t just bear it anymore. Yeap.... this b***h is a nut. Her mother should have swallowed.
What a vile thought process this woman develops in her thread. Is she real? Disgusting, self righteous, incorrect, accusatory and divisive. She's got nothing of worth to say to any couple. It takes 2, her ideas are like a 6 year old dictator. Without compassion or any real knowledge of healthy loving relations between the sexes. I almost doubt this is a real woman writing this. More like a bot out there programed to foster discord and hatred. Vile.
I agree! thanks to Mom-of-six for speaking the truth. she didn't even mention the benefits of preventing unwanted pregnancy from the potential child's point of view. when children are born to a woman who doesn't have the resources to care for them, emotional, financial, whatever resources) guess who suffers the most? if you want to prevent suffering in children, prevent conception until there are adequate resources to take care of them.
Well, men cause 100% of "wanted" pregnancies too, so I guess we are even. Damn biology!!! I bet this woman stays awake at night wishing she was a hermaphrodite nematode.....Hmmmm, that makes two of us.
Sure, men are to blame because women are objects with no agency and no sense of responsibility. Everything feminism riles against is 100% true. Only men can be expected to make decisions. That's why women should not be allowed to vote. Or is it the other way around: Women can be adults and their own people and should therefore stop demanding preferential treatment to compensate for their inferiority?
wtf is she on about? I call and say that 100% of unwanted pregnancies are caused by women who are not in control of their reproductive cycles. Is it that time of the month? Don't f**k. End of story. No more unwanted babies. Does that sound stupid? Yeah. So does this post. F**k you.
dingus you are an utter piece of s**t i hope you burn in hell
Load More Replies...this made me sick to my stomach. this lady is a glorified idiot
you are an idiot men are the reason women are so heavily oppressed this oppression leads to the difficulty to get birth control and male birth control with 1/3 of the symptoms was rejected because men couldn't take it. this lady and gentle men is what we call the "man cold syndrome"
Load More Replies...Did I mention yet why I think this woman is a b******t full of nonsense idiot? Because- I do feel like that. She is an idiot. She is an example of what is going deeply wrong with us as a nation and a society. I hope this stupidity ends soon-
For someone with six kids you seem to spend a hell of a lot of time on the interwebs telling everybody how good of a mother you are
Regardless of what you think of the post, everyone please get your facts from a doctor and do your best, but know no method is 100% safe :) let us all not judge each other. Talking to a doctor might be awkward but worth it.
I stopped reading once she brought out the male contraceptive pill, and it shocked me scrolling down how much yammering she keeps going on. 1) The pill was UNSAFE. It was causing sterility and other fatal issues. These are not side effects. These are the REASON the male pill was cancelled, yet she brings it up, two sentences and is done with it. 2) No. Two people who decide to have sex are responsible if they fall pregnant and were not planning on having a child. None of this b******t "men are to blame for all my problems" nonsense. 3) She's clearly deluded.
This is, by far, the most idiotic and stupid thing I've read, in a long time. It takes two, and if do not want to get pregnant, learn freaking math! What is wrong with you people???
Woah. Woah! I'm just going to let this BS settle for 10 years or so. Then we can come back to rape, deceit, diminished responsibility and broken condoms that may contribute to some of them.
Unfortunately you made a number of factual errors in your statement and therefore we can discard the whole rant
Part II. I don't want to protect men who insist on having sex without a condom. I believe the only thing you can do this is with your wife, when you are absolutely sure it's safe, and you don't mind if something goes the wrong way. But please, let us share the responsibility, okay? Boyfriend wants to have sex without a condom. He is young and stupid and careless. If his girlfriend is the same yound and stupid and careless - should it be solely the boy's fault? If the girlfriend is more mature and knowledgable, she should tell him to bugger off, after all, it's her OWN body that would suffer later, shouldn't she be a bit more careful about it? Nowadays, it's the woman who DECIDES whether the couple will have sex. She must consent, otherwise it's rape, a criminal offence. Hell, men can't even have a look at a pretty woman without risking a harassment suit today. So... responsbility goes both ways, OK?
Part I. Okey, let's go. Our present day culture promotes sex. Sexual education, movies, freedom to do whatever you want. Sex is something you are naturally expected to do for pleasure, and it's viewed as a simple thing, no big deal about it. Maybe we shall start with that? I don't mean go all puritan, but maybe pay more attention to teaching responsibility? To both boys and girls. Highlight what tremendous responsibility it is, to have a kid. Because it is really the teens and kids you should educate, it does not work on adults the same way. Our life values are formed at an early age by what we see and hear around us. I guess we must pay more attention to promoting what "healthy relationships" are. Basically, the same thing the author said about men's pleasure of sex without a condom vs women's later suffering. Abortion should never be viewed as a simple means to deal with unwanted pregnancy, similar to a condom. But it should be allowed.
Females are the ones who carry pregnancies and no amount of lamenting that men can't be biologically held responsible for their end of sexual acts is going to change it. If you are female, you inherently have to be more cautious about pregnancy because, yes, men do not bare the physical consequences of sex. These pages of babbling nonsense doesn't change the reality of female gestation.
Am I the only one that found this to be extremely Sexist? If the author made a few changes then there could be the start of an argument, an extreme one albeit. My main bone to pick is the sexist reference to “All men”. Yes every single male.... No there are not any responsible or decent males in this world according to the author! Are their many careless, and stupid men? Yes. All of them? No. If so then maybe the reverse of that is also true? Also an unwanted pregnancy that is not resulting from rape or non-consensual sex also likely meant that the female half of the equation knew he didn't have a condom, and said yes anyway. So I refute the 100% male blame. Could a guy weasel his way in? Harass, bug, and woo? Yep. Happens all the time. But that does not mean my fiance and I having an unplanned pregnancy is my fault. It's OUR fault. Both of us. Because WE decided to risk it TOGETHER when WE found out that WE were out of condoms. I love that the blame is all on males, and that the auth
i think this whole article is more like her problem/agreement with her boyfriend/husband.. clearly is you not accept to have sex with your partner, and he forcing you its rape right?.. why not find another man who can agree with you about sex?, this woman have option right?.. i dont understand..
I see no mention in the article about the woman choosing not to have sex. There's lots of women who choose not to be sexually active. Chastity is 100% effective. I'm a man who has chosen not to have sex. So far I have not impregnated anyone. The only reason humans have reproductive parts is to reproduce. Any other use of those parts is completely unwarranted. More to consider...
Humans have the ability to engage in intercourse either for pleasure or for reproduction. Neither gender just has a baby maker between their legs. Even certain animals have been observed to engage in sexual intercourse for pleasure (http://www.bbc.com/future/story/20140613-do-animals-have-sex-for-fun) so I’m gonna call BS on your idea that that’s the only reason humans have those parts. Let people enjoy this form of pleasure if they want
Load More Replies...This woman is insane. Rape is literally the only way a woman can get pregnant against her will. Literally every other way is a woman's choice. If you don't want to get pregnant, either use birth control or refuse to have sex with men who won't use a condom. It's your choice woman! Take responsibility for once!
I would like to add that the MAIN reason the male birth control studies were discontinued is not because of mere “side effects” by because some test subject were reporting issues with infertility. http://thefederalist.com/2016/11/03/problem-male-birth-control-not-men-wusses/
Sweet god, I made a throwaway account just because I have to get this off my chest: This is the most educated and sophisticated case of camouflaged crass idiocy I had the displeasure of running into. This should count as sabotage or terrorism. Any reasoning-sensitive intelligence probably fell for it during the first 3 or so pictures. Would it be too much to have it taken off the internet and the author shot?
If taken seriously, it only supports the role of women as passive, second-class citizens much like over a hundred years ago.
Load More Replies...I don't understand why people are giving her so much credit for this, some of her points are blatantly incorrect. You cannot prevent pregnancy 96% of the time by using withdrawal as a birth control method, just to name one. I do hope someone with the correct facts and more time than I have can explain the incorrect points she makes.
So effectively, Ms. Blair, women are mere toys for boys, and have no personal responsibility in it? Don't want to risk getting pregnant, planned or not? Don't bring your eggs to the party... Despite what you say, you have a fully equal responsibility by participating in sex, as you are consenting to it. If not? it's rape. You are just trying to shift the blame, and sex can end up in a pregnancy, with or without birth control methods, regardless of type. with, the chances of it happening is just smaller, not non-existent.
Most Mormons believe that when you die you get to rule over your own planet, and that you can baptize dead people. This is more "us versus them" c**p that encourages more women to blame men for everything wrong in their lives.
1- I'm allergic to latex and its hard to find other types of condoms. 2- it takes two to tango and if he removes a condom it is considered assault 3. Responsible women will have backup birth control. I am on two types of birth control. You can't put all blame on one person when you're both in the act. Things happen in that moment.
This is absurd. This person should get zero time in the spotlight. Men are bad, got it. "If and when a man becomes responsible...." Idiocy. Men ejaculate therefore men are responsible for babies? This is the logic you are trying to build your argument around? So the act of procreation which requires attributes from both men and women is the man's fault/responsibility.
Thought it was an attack at first. But kept reading and agree with her 100%
Ugh so cringeworthy...So much wrong here, seems more like another "men causes women misery" post, but really, men who refuse condom ain't even worth your time, however, the condom COULD break if you're unlucky, so what then? hardly the mans fault cause he did in fact use it, and I don't see the good in the argument with the mess it would make without a condom, you got a shower right? be a bit naughty ffs. The safest ways is for him or her to cut their tubes ( yes the lady egg tube thingies ), otherwise it is harder for BOTH to go against nature.
I had "the snip" and I'm glad I did. But I still think pregnancy takes two. A girl can keep a condom too, and she can deny having sex without it.
All men need to take responsibility for pregnancies AS WELL. There. Now your lazy a*s don't have to read it.
Load More Replies...Victimhood Culture (https://www.theatlantic.com/politics/archive/2015/09/the-rise-of-victimhood-culture/404794/). She knows that she can just not have sex, right? That having sex is a personal choice, right?
I'm telling my 3 daughters differently. I'll teach them to accept responsibility for their actions and not look to blame others.
It is and should always be a woman's choice to proceed or otherwise with an unplanned/unwanted pregnancy whatever the circumstances of conception. It is just sad when women end up having serial abortions as a method of contraception, rather than just learning from the first time.
All these comments about "a woman can agree to sex without a condom, a woman can say no...blah blah" is not what this article is about. If a man wants sex without birth control, and a woman says no, two things can happen: rape or no sex. And if there's no sex, no unwanted pregnancy. If there's rape, chance of pregnancy, man's fault. If a woman agrees to sex without BC, the only way she can get pregnant is if that MAN agrees and ejaculates in her. He has the option to say no, he has the option of pulling out or putting on a condom. Pregnancy will still only occur if HE decides to ejaculate irresponsibly. The last option is if the woman rapes the man, in that case, a pregnancy is her fault. Yeah it takes "two to tango" but the majority of UNWANTED PREGNANCY, not sex, not wanted pregnancy, is because of the male's decision. Almost all of her points are rarional and valid.
For decades we've heard the feminist mantra "my body my choice!" which is absolutely true. So if it's your body, and your choice, why isn't it your responsibility to take steps in preventing that YOU do not get pregnant? Once a woman gets pregnant, since it's her body and her choice, men have zero input on whether or not that pregnancy is kept, or ended. In the event that pregnancy is brought to completion, regardless of the fathers wishes men get the joy of being legally financially responsible, regardless of a continuing relationship with mother or child. This has gone so far as to have an actual court case where a man was forced to pay child support to a woman who, unbeknownst to him, impregnated herself with semen she retrieved from a condom he had thrown in the trash. Don't like birth control? Female condoms have existed for 40 years, lets see how you like them.
hello everyone i have been having sexual battles with my wife in my marriage because of my small penis and it was really so embarrassing imagine a grown up man of 39 years old having a small d**k…i could not satisfy her and she threatened to cheat on me if i do not find a way..i searched for cure and results but none of them avail..i even used online pills, vaccines, drugs, herbal herbs but still no result so i was about going penis Surgery when i read about this great herbalist called Dr harry ..i quickly message him on his website link https://drharryherbaltempl.wixsite.com/solutiontemple and he got back to me within 30 mins and told me all i need to do ,,i followed all his instructions and he sent down his herbal cream through UPS SERVICE to me and gave me instruction on how to apply it and within two weeks i was Beginning to feel myself …i now measure 10.5 inches long in erection and 8.0 girth fat …my wife is so proud and happy with me now..All thanks to DR HARRY for saving my mar
The lack of education here is apparent. Women can get pregnant for more than just 2 days during their cycle, more like 6. During ovulation is just when the highest chance of fertilization is. A woman can also get pregnant while taking birth control. If you are taking a medication that is meant to prevent pregnancy, it is the fault of the medication if pregnancy occurs, not the fault of the man who produced the male gamete.
OMG!! really? ...Ive spent my entire life f*****g anything with a pulse, but here's the thing....I may have a shared responsibility for an unwanted pregnancy, but I dont have to live with the consequences. I am flabbergasted that women approach sexual relations with such a cavalier attitude, shocking irresponsibility and a flagrant disregard for the consequences. But, hey...let's blame the guys.
So much incorrect things in this mile-long personal rant of a Mormon - the whole idea and the realization of it is just idiotic. To sum it up - she is an idiot.
So a pregnancy is always, 100%, no exceptions, guy's fault? ...what? So if a hypothetical couple agrees(I do believe this should be a mutual, well thought-out agreement due to possible consequences) on sex without a condom and relies on girl's contraceptive and the girl single-handedly decides she wants that baby(which is a very dishonest thing to do. But it can be done. It has been done, too, whether in desperate attempt to keep the man in her life or just for wanting kids or whatever else, and everyone knows that(except for this one woman apparently)) and stops taking them...and gets pregnant...then according to this brilliant person here, this will STILL be the guy's fault? Should've stopped reading right at 100% point tbh, there's no way someone with a claim like that can say anything remotely credible. What a load of absolute bullsh**...and I say this as a girl who believes in abortion(sad as it is) and very much believes in condoms.
Nothing about abstinence. What a load of garbage on her part. Women still have the right to say NO. Birth Control is just an excuse to have sex irresponsibly without thought of the "potential results." If an unexpected pregnancy occurs its not his or her fault. . .its their fault and responsibility.
Who in the world has the time to read all of this? Just to prove an inaccurate point.
Listen b***h. I didn’t have to read your article, just the title to tell you that it take two to tango. It’s not the man or woman’s fault. It’s both.
So much text, so much b******t, so many alternative facts. Lots of errors in the text, and a lot of womansplaining.
What am absolute load of horse s**t. "Men can't get women pregnant without an orgasm"?? Where exactly do you get your facts from, lady???
It’s very uncommon for a man to be able to impregnate a woman without an orgasm
Load More Replies...WOW... make love not hate.... real men step up.... so stop sleeping with boys. Will this man hating ever end??...
spermicides exists too, how many women who read this article and agree with it have a bottle of that on hand? 100% the guys fault, this s**t post should be taken down
So let's just sterilise all new born boys, so this cannot happen. And let all humanity dud in couple years.
I actually came away from this rant assigning more than 50% responsibility to women, because only women know their own cycles and can simply choose not to have sex during those six days a month. Men don't know when a women is fertile. Please don't reply about how women shouldn't be put into the position of saying no, because there are a lot steps between making eye contact and stripping naked where it wasn't even a no, where simply showing disinterest was sufficient.
What a crock of sh1t. Wow she seems bitter. Both parties are equally responsible . Personally I take responsibility as it is my body and I don't want a baby, so I am going to make damn sure that I don't. I have been sexually active for 14 years without any pregnancies, I wanted sex, I didnt babies, birth control has never been a huge hardship. Some times birth control fails as it is never 100% And I feel very sorry for these women, but I would never blame the man for what happens to my body.
What a load of misandristic claptrap. This woman clearly has issues with her husband and immediately jumps to the conclusion that all men from the USA to Japan and from South Africa to Sweden are rapist monsters responsible for all the bad things in the world. Honey, if men are so bad than why do you have a husband and why did you give him six children? Isn't it a bit late for you to start on the whole "men are pigs" thing at this point?
She should show a man how to use that tongue and maybe she won’t complain so much
maybe you should keep your legs closed next time, oh, it;s men fault, they ejaculate more, sorry for being born f*****g men, oh, they should wear condoms, but they don't want so is their fault again, then stop giving them pussy without a f*****g condom. Oh, men fault men fault, KEEP YOUR F*****G LEGS CLOSED NEXT TIME BEFORE BLAMING MEN BECAUSE OF SOME IDIOTS AND YOUR WIDE SPREAD LEGS.
The most vocal opponents of abortion in my office are women. Stop acting like it's only men.
Ignore or delete this post. It is stupid from the start. If women and men cannot get it that copulation without birth control can lead to pregnancy, they should just whack each other off. DAMN, where is Darwin when we need him??
10 different forms of birth control, the morning after pill, RU486 and abortion,,,yeah shut your pie hole lady.
Funny how women are 100% responsible for "creating life" but men are 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. Which is it? You can't have both. Either one or the other is responsible for both, or both are responsible for each.
Funny how women are 100% responsible for "creating life", but men are somehow 100% responsible for unwanted pregnancies. Which is it? You don't get both. Either one or the other is solely responsible for both, or both are responsible. Don't want to get pregnant? Take the issue I'm your own hands and don't demand someone else to do it for you.
At this rate, with all the man hate, the sperm producers will have to wear red waist coats and white baseball caps, so people will know who they are and can only be used when the Matriarchy decides it needs new cult members.
Tbh women like this make me ashamed to be a woman. Yes there are douche bags in this world but come on, saying "All Men"? Give me a break. 1. You complain about a tablet that your body has to process. Yeah of course that's going to take a bit. 2. Your saying all men should get the snip? What?! If someone said all women should get their tubes tied from the age of 13 people would be going psycho cause that's sexist apparently. Yet the snip idea wouldn't? 3. What's with all this man hating? When did it become okay to bash on white men? There's been so many cases recently where a man and a women have consensual sex, but then the women turns around accusing the man of rape. His whole life gets taken from him, even though he's innocent. He loses his job, gets kicked from uni etc. yet when the women is found out to be lying she gets nothing but a slap on the wrist. Your acting like it's so hard to be a women and generalising all men. Women get so much help but men get told to shut up.
If some douchebag assholecanoe did that "stealthing" c**p to me, I'd hunt him down and chop his balls off. My condition would worsen with the hormones present in pregnancy. In very little time, tumors can grow exponentially in my body. He can literally kill me by slipping off the condom because it makes his d**k a modicum happier. Hell no. This is why I have to be very, very trusting of who I sleep with, s**t like this.
Huge amounts of medical misinformation here but a great moral piece!
This lady is an idiot, women can get pregnant more than 2 days a month, and women dont have to orgasm to get pregnant
She literally said women don’t have to orgasm to get pregnant. I don’t know why you’re going straight to name calling either because she was wrong but she wasn’t THAT far off since women can pregnant around and during ovulation (around 6 days), and even more so during a span of two days right before ovulation.
Load More Replies...Hmmmm.....so sad. So sad. Americans...Male/female.....Black/brown/white...fat/thin/tall/short....do not want to take responsibility. If EVERYONE takes responsibility for his/her own life...they can own their life and the consequences. Take responsibility for your life. Do not blame others...that is some sad, sad, wimpy stuff........Soooooo sad.
This article is the worst feminist BS I have ever read. This moron portrays women as helpless victims, which they are not. What if women acted responsible and stopped having sex during their fertile days? Men usually don’t know these days. Of course it’s better to force every boy to undergo a vasectomy. Gabrielle Blair is just delusional and I don’t understand why such delusional people (e.g. Clementine Ford, Julie Bindel, Jody Allard) get so much attention.
That stupid statement makes me, as a women, and mother of 4, highly aggressiv! How can you put aside your own responsibility like that. When I was 16 I got pregnant and my boyfriend, under the pressure of perhaps getting father, went down into mental illnes- who should have taken responsibility, if not me?! I'm not against abortion, I know very well, why you possibly would live a live without a kid. My husband has a daughter from a women, who came to europe, having the plan to get pragnet from a "wealty" man. Telling him, she's taking the pill, when she doesn't. He even married her, but she left. With the little girl. We have two healthy kids an a severly handicapped daughter, he's taking all the responsibilty, but I am too, as a women and person, who is in the state of mind to take responsibility. To me, there are two kinds of people: a******s and people, who try not to be. That person, deleating all her responsibility, is a nuisance!
"my boyfriend, under the pressure of perhaps getting father, went down into mental illnes- who should have taken responsibility, if not me?!" Noone becomes mentally ill because of somebody else's pregnancy. They blamed it on you and you accepted to be made a scapegoat. - - - She is still right. NO WOMAN CAN CONTROL THE EJACULATION OF ANY MAN. Only that man himself can.
Load More Replies...At some point, I just could not continue reading. But I want to point out one thing nevertheless: Condoms are not cheaper than the pill. I pay a little less than 5€ per month for my pill. For that, we would get around 10 condoms. Less, if we would not take the really cheap ones. That would not get us over the month. Condoms would be more expensive than the pill. Plus, I as a woman enjoy sex without condom more. Gabrielle Blair should not talk for all the woman on the world when saying things like that. We are all different.
Hormonal birth control pills are much more expensive in the US where Gabrielle lives.

The idiotic, sexist rant of a stupid woman who cant stop sleeping with any a*****e male who pays her any attention. Just pathetic.
you talk about men being castraded why dont women have there tubes tied it can be swich back just like men most men do care about women and do surport their partner i know that this is a problem but dont blame the men most do take their responsive action to help with this problem
This is probably the biggest pile of b******t I have ever read! This idiotic woman is spouting after having six kids!... not two or three, but SIX KIDS!!? Maybe if she didn’t open her legs so much then she wouldn’t be so disillusioned? But no she has obviously been a willing participant in some rumpy pumpy on many occasions. So to believe that men are 100% responsible after what she has done in the past makes her an even bigger hypocrite! She needs to get down off of her high horse and give her head a shake!
Yet another bitter female, seeking to shift the blame. She seems to forget that “no” still remains the best contraceptive. Most parts of this “explanation “ are simply ridiculous. Yeah, my body produces sperm, blame me for pregnancies... I also got hands to hold a gun, you know, so also blame me for murders. And hey, “snipping” for girls exists too - why so sure that it’s a male who must pull the plug?
Can this be required in EVERY sex Ed class and read before every round table of me who make decisions for women's bodies?
It's sad when people take a particular issue and then twist it to fit into another narrative they already hold (in this case unwanted pregnancies gets shoved into the men=bad ideology). Beyond the scientific inaccuracies (men need an actual orgasm to get woman pregnant etc), this is just silly. Men put themselves at the same risk ask the woman when they take off a condom so they're both at danger, not just him. This is more typic modern feminism when the poor, fragile ladies have no control whatsoever about what a man does to their body. Also, condoms can break even when used correctly. They aren't perfect. This is so goofy that I'm angry at myself for getting dragged into this feminist nonsense. It's unfortunate that this woman thinks women are such delicate, powerless flower petals. Great message for the youngins.
Overall, the message is good. Yeah, pre- ejaculate is a thing, women are fertile 5-6 days a month, and we can all abstain.... BUT ALSO- vasectomies are not always reversible. My husband had one 9 years ago and we can not just flip the reproductive switch back on. That part of the article made me sad (I'd love another child). However, I had a partner leave me after an ill timing of the pull out method, he said he wasn't "ready" to be a father. I do take full responsibility for sleeping with a jerk, I knew better.
Stripping this diatribe down to its basic premise I basically agree that men are primarily responsible and should have some measure of accountability in unwanted pregnancies. The problem is in the “always/never” logic one should always be wary of in an argument. As another commenter said, saying men are 100% responsible removes all agency and also dehumanizes females as birthing units, incapable of their own decisions.
Well, if you would make an experiment, when men are at the limit of ejaculation and suddenly someone appear(or idk, find a context) tell him that if he stop and don't ejaculate he will get 1000 dollars I bet he would still f without being able to stop. We are animals in bed and especially when we reach climax we don't give a f anout anything. But when you accepted to have sex with an iresponsible man isn't your fault? Or if u dress like a striper at 2 AM and someone rape you is his fault? Well... yes, it is but you asked for it aswell. Sooo... unless you don't get raped unwanted pregnancy shouldn't happen. If you do sex with a man that do things like getting of the condom without permission, then I think its your fault aswell. But... these days you can't trust anybody... Thanks god for pornography and hookers. Its much easier than with a relationship.
how about when the girl says she is taking birth control and isn't taking birth control, is that unwanted pregnancy also the mans fault? ya, tell that to my 9 year old son lol
That IS NOT an UNWANTED pregnancy from the pow ofthe woman, you know.

Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul. How about the women actually stand up for herself and says "no, we aren't having unprotected sex right now because there is a risk we could have an unwanted pregnancy." The man not being a rapist would probably abide to her wishes and blamo, no unwanted babies. Coming from an article from someone who believes in space Jesus it's no wonder your thought process is flawed and incorrect.
well, children are a blessing people, don't forget that. Aspiring little being.
What stacyh said. It's hugely misogynist to act as if all women don't want to take responsibility for their actions. If I said "men want to do whatever they want without any responsibility" would you think I had an issue with men? Grow the f**k up.
Load More Replies...Both men and women have to discuss contraceptive choices before having sex, I'm sorry but this is part of being an adult. It's immature to expect that the other party is automatically going to make the choices you would want without any kind of communication before hand. Does someone have to be prepared to walkaway if the other person does not want to use contraception, yes if it's important to you and it should be, forget babies if you get HIV because the other person was not looking out for your health then that's something you will have to deal with for the rest of your life. Your whole argument could made almost word for word just replacing "man" for "woman" and "condom" with "being on the pill" and it would still show someone who does not want to take responsibility for safe sex; also some guys want to use condoms but women don't think it's important.

Yeap.... this b***h is a nut.

It’s very uncommon for a man to be able to impregnate a woman without an orgasm

spermicides exists too, how many women who read this article and agree with it have a bottle of that on hand?
