Let Me Show You In These 31 Pictures How Ecuador, Though Very Small, Hosts A Vast And Unique Array Of Exotic Wildlife
After the treasure from Costa Rica, I bring you gems from this stunning South American country—Ecuador.
Although Ecuador is one of the smaller countries in South America, it boasts an incredible diversity of habitats that support a fantastic array of wildlife. With a list of more than 1500 species of birds, many of which are shared only with adjacent Columbia or Peru, it is difficult to imagine a more exciting birding destination.
The country is hospitable and so are the people, who always have a warm smile and help in the conservation of wildlife.
I have traveled within Ecuador for a few years now. Every time I visit the cloud forests or the Amazon, I fall in love with this country all over again!
These are some of my photographs to show you guys how beautiful the varied species of this country are.
I hope you enjoy it!
All photos are taken from my Canon 1dx mark II and 600mm lens..

I upvoted every picture. I used to live in Ecuador, in the cloud forest and was constantly amazed at the creatures we'd see. Every day you'd see something you never knew existed. It's an amazing place. Here's a caterpillar that looks like it's made of jelly. 19-5e8dab3690457.jpg
These are awesome! What a great way to end my night before going to sleep. Thank you!
I think birds are beautiful generally but these are utter gems! Stunning photography. Thank you. Rescued a humble wood-pigeon this morning from a cat attack. Not too badly injured we're hoping - will be contacting Wildlife Aid later to find out how it's doing. 🤞🤞🤞 Big shout out to Wildlife Aid in the UK for a) their advice on how to capture it and b) for caring for this poor bird. ❤
I love these stunning birds. Turquoise Jay and Tanager are one of my favorite.
Thank you for this! I live in Ecuador and will share with my tour guide colleagues :)
These are so vibrant in the true sense of the word. Saving this page to my phone so I can start painting again. Inspiring.
Thank you for these uplifting, gorgeous pictures. They brought a smile to my face, for sure.
These are beautiful! I hope you don't mind, but I downloaded a few of them to use on my jigsaw puzzle app. Those birds are just so colorful!
Well, this makes a nice change from all the depressing posts about Covid-19.
Beautiful gorgeous and so delicate! all of them many thanks for sharing with us nature's "pieces of art" that most of us will never see
i'm guessing people get bored with all these beauties pooping on their windshields at some point, butt it's hard to imagine
