A man with a truckload of potatoes was recently driving along a road in Eastern India, when a wild elephant appeared and decided to help himself to a snack. A few seconds later, the animal’s trunk was already inside the truck and indulging in potatoes…

Though bystanders tried to stop him by shouting and using various tactics, the elephant seemed to be more concerned with the food than what the driver and others were doing. The Asian Elephant simply refused to let anyone stand in the way between him and his snack.

The whole scene was filmed on camera. While there’s definitely a hilarious side of the story, it actually points to the sad truth – habitat fragmentation and habitat loss cause endangered elephants to come into more frequent contact with people. This time the elephant satisfied his munchies without getting hurt, but unfortunately, this is not always the case…
