Tell us about your pets. Why are they the best pets in your opinion?
I have Cinder, a 6yr Tortoiseshell twho found about a year and a half ago. She's the first pet I've had, and started my cat obsession. She was sickly and traumatized when I found her and fell quickly in love. She can be difficult. Partly from trauma, partly because she was born that way, but I get her. She's had a rough go of it, and takes a while to warm upto people. Which makes it the more satisfying when she loves you back. She's playful, and funny, and some may call her b****y, but I think she's particular. When I am upset, when I'm crying, she will lay on me, or jump on me and rub her face against mine. She does like to be held, but in short spurts. But if I'm upset she'll cuddle with me until I calm down. Longest than she would otherwise. She follows me around all day. She's loyal and appreciative. Some may say she's snobby or mean, but she's just sensitive. She's helped me as much as I've helped her.
Our newest addition is Baba Yaga. A 5yr old Russian blue. She's so genuinely sweet, and affectionate. She loves her belly rubbed, weird for a cat. She's a big girl, and strong, but thinks she's tiny. She wants pets constantly. A few times, I've fallen asleep and she'll headbutt me to wake me up for more pets. It can be overwhelming at times, but so worth it. When I go to feed her, she'll jump up to the food in my hand before I have a chance to put it down. I don't know what she thinks she's doing. Like she can hop and get the food quicker. She's adorable and I love her. I love both of them.
So, why are your pets the best?
