Reading to children is one of the most important things a parent can do for a child
Bored Panda reached out to Sergio to learn more about him and his creative process. The illustrator, who professionally works as a high school teacher in Zaragoza, Spain, shared that illustration is not his sole dedication. "For me, it's a second activity that I really enjoy. In fact, my cartoons are closely related to education and children."
Sergio shared that he began his artistic journey by drawing cartoons related to sports, eventually leading to the publication of a book. He explained, "Since then, I have been shifting towards the theme of education. While I've experimented with oil painting, it proved time-consuming, and I find digital illustration much simpler and easier to pick up," he added.
Sergio finds inspiration in his surroundings, with a particular passion for contemplating how to translate ideas into drawings. He shared, "I make many sketches in a notebook that I always carry with me; transferring it neatly and publishing it is the next step and the one that costs me the most. I love it when my drawings are liked and help people to open discussions and talk about education."
I work with children who have autism and this speaks to me too. Go people who work with kids, both neurotypical or no!

I change the world. I listen to young people. They have important things to say.
Confession time: I like my own comments on BP every now and then. 😁 edit to add: I just did it again. Haha!
Same. Nothing wrong with that. If it weren't allowed, BP wouldn't allow it to be possible. Even Reddit automatically puts a like on your posts for you.

Watching my favorite TV show (D20, a live action RPG with improv comedians) has sparked my imagination like nothing else. Every form of media can be value or trash - and can spark intelligence and creativity.
🫵🫵🫵 another dimension 20 fan!!! In the wild!!!!! I was literally watching Unsleeping city as I read your comment!! You have blessed my day, friend 💙💙💙

Love this one. The book does not show every image, the child's mind has to create it.
Please, may I recommend Googling "Peter Pan Goes Wrong", A Christmas Carol Goes Wrong", and all "The Goes Wrong Show"s from PBS. You Will thank me if you're not familiar with them. 🐸
That's why I still read seven books in two weeks. I travel to places most folks have Never been!
Understandable *sighs quietly as my chick is using me as a mattress/heating pad right this moment*
Funny story when I was like 5 or 6 I jumped at my dad for a hug (it was a thing we did) and he stepped out of the way and I just FACEPLANTED IN FRONT OF HALF OF THE TEACHERS. He was mortified!
lol He probably learned from kids like mine. My daughter used to run up to people and they would bend down to give her a hug just as she jumped up, and they would faceplant into her head. Happened to her Grade 1 teacher. We both felt so bad. She just wanted to give her favourite teacher a hug.

My nephew was the opposite when he was little unless he was hurt. Then it was "MAMAAAAAAAA!"
If I had a do-over I would make the bedtime and morning routine consistent throughout the year. It doesn't have to be me, but the kiddo definitely. Spent so much time trying to fix sleep and wake schedules and took a lot of effort to keep it up. Not worth it.
My 6YO daughter gets up at the same time regardless of whether she has school or not. The difference is that, at the weekend and on holiday, she looks at her alarm clock and only wakes us at 8.30 a.m. at the earliest. If she's hungry and we're not up yet (we usually are because she has a younger brother!), she gets her own breakfast.

My child once experienced a thumbnail of Eugenia C. because I happened to watch something so the algorithm did the thing. He was deeply traumatized and still is to this day. He is a very gentle soul, but still. We need to watch out for what they see out there. It's scary...
I know the spirit in which you posted that, but one year I wanted to give my mom the 'traditional Christmas' she was complaining about & found both of those in resin form at Whole Foods. Later found a booth at a farmers market that had better quality. They're surprisingly easy to find, especially if you like compounding your own perfumes, oils, or incense. (Mom is an herbalist so this led her into making her own perfume oils, so it was a welcome gift even though it was very tongue in cheek)

I always appreciate that the magi gave gifts to Jesus, not one another. It's so sad that most people use this commercialized holiday to give compulsory gifts to one another that usually are not very appreciated, but they give no gifts to Jesus if they think of him at all. And a tree wasn't mentioned in any of the gospels. We got it all wrong today.
Uh, I hate to break it to you, but Christianity stole the concept of having a "Christmas tree" from the "pagans" (fir trees were used during Yuletide festivities) in order to make it more palatable to destroy their "pagan" beliefs and force their religion onto them. Christmas trees aren't in the gospels because they're not Christian. Also, why would I need to give gifts to Jesus? How would I even give a gift to a fictional character?

They wouldn't even know what a tree is. And that's not on them!
