In a world filled with hustle and bustle, sometimes we need a reminder to slow down and appreciate the little moments of joy that surround us. Let us introduce you to ChickenPupPie, a talented artist who has captured the hearts of many with their captivating comics featuring adorable pups in everyday situations.

Picture yourself walking through a forest, or having a cozy time at home while carving pumpkins - these are just some of the heartwarming scenes ChickenPupPie brings to life with their art. Every comic strip celebrates life's little pleasures, urging us to appreciate the small, often overlooked moments in our everyday lives.

Bored Panda reached out to the creator behind ChickenPupPie comics to learn more about their creative process. We were curious to know how the artist got started in creating comics. "I’ve always enjoyed drawing," they replied. "I did freelance work making children’s books for a time but got burned out working on long projects of other people’s stories. The webcomics have been fun because they’re short and something all my own, it’s just something I do in my spare time but it’s been something refreshing."

While we love reading about these cute pups, we're curious why the artist picked dogs as the main characters. They mentioned there isn't a specific reason for it. "Dogs are just cute and their ears are fun to draw. They do lightly represent my husband and me, but it’s definitely not 1:1 based on real life. Some stories come from our everyday life, dumb jokes we’ve heard, games we’ve played… Ideas can come from anywhere, really."

Creating things is fun, but it can also be tricky sometimes. The artist says that, just like with anything creative, the biggest challenges are often in your own mind. "Lack of motivation, lack of inspiration… It happens, but in my situation, these comics are a hobby and I’ll just set it aside for a while when it doesn't feel fun."

I am the same way. When I was a kid, I'd choose the messed-up/mis-sewn/weird-looking stuffed animal out of the pile, because I thought no one else would want it or give it love, but *I* wanted it XD

For the artist, the best part of being creative is forming connections with others and sharing what they've created. "Hearing from readers and meeting other artists who share the same passions is wonderful, the sense of being part of a community and feeling like you’re contributing to it."

I actually did this once. Apparently, I chose the wrong onion without the peel and my dad got really mad when we got home.🤦‍♀️

If you want to listen to Christmas music 24/7/365, that's perfectly fine for you. You want to force *me* to listen to it any time other than December 24th & 25th, we gone have a problem.

My mother, who is 79, recently removed all her normal, living plants from her flowerbeds in the front and back yards and replaced them all with VERY realistic fake plants. According to her, "real plants take too much maintenance!" - fair enough XD She also says real plants "attract spiders" and fake plants don't... I'm not so sure about that, I'm pretty sure spidies will spin their webs in fake plants as happily as they would in real plants XD

.... this comic just made me remember that we bought a pumpkin for Halloween and put it on the porch.... we didn't carve it, so it stayed whole/sealed(?).... and after Halloween we put it into the cool, dark garage, saying "okay, we'll throw this in the bin closer to trash day" (since it's super sunny here and if it sat in the dark-colored, enclosed bin all week - eew.) Well, it's March 14th and that pumpkin is STILL in the garage. I'm scared. I'm scared to go check on it ;_;
