50 Times Moms Won The Internet By Being Their Wholesome, Hilarious Selves
Moms are the superheroes of our lives, providing an endless supply of love, support, and guidance that we need to thrive. From the moment we're born, they do everything in their power to make sure we're happy and healthy.
They're the ones who bandage our scraped knees, cook us our favorite meals, and offer a listening ear when we need to talk. And as we grow older, they continue to be our biggest cheerleaders, offering words of encouragement and unwavering support through all of life's ups and downs.
Whether we're celebrating our greatest achievements or weathering our toughest challenges, our moms are always there, reminding us of our worth and helping us find our way. They truly are the heart and soul of our families, and we're forever grateful for all that they do.
So we at Bored Panda decided to compile a list of wholesome moments that perfectly capture the magic of motherhood.

Asking For Salt, So The Needy Neighbor Won't Feel Guilty Asking For Help
The Little Things We Take For Granted
I'm deaf and YouTubers adding human written subtitles over auto subs makes such a massive difference to how I enjoy the videos. I always thank new YouTubers I discover who do this as I know it is a pain to do (I've recently started my own YouTube channel) but wow does it make a difference! I'm also autistic and a full time wheelchair user so I see lack of inclusivity and amazing inclusivity all the time- things (in the UK at least) are slowly changing for the better, but we have a long way to go sadly still for full inclusivity
there's this girl who does shorts on YouTube, she's partially deaf (I'm pretty sure one of her ears is fully deaf), speaks really well, and has captions and does ASL all together in each video. She tells a lot of stories about how she gets treated because she's deaf. It's interesting hearing deaf people's stories, because I've never met anyone deaf in my life. She's made me trying to start learning ASL, in case anyone needs it. (found her channel link, here ya go: https://youtube.com/@L1zHarris :)
Load More Replies...I feel for her, I can only imagine the joy and it makes me want to cry. And I'm guessing the game is Grounded.
(This isn't by any means intended to take away from the Deaf community and/or the meaning of the post but:) Captions are also good for other groups including ND people! A lot of people with ADHD / Autistic people struggle with Auditory Processing Disorder, which makes us struggle to understand people through screens even if we can hear it clearly. Subtitles help a lot! Captions in games can be inclusive for multiple groups, and this applies to many other things that need to be more inclusive! It's a lot more useful than it seems at a surface level!
I need sub-titles on movies. There are some that are impossible to watch, because they speak too fast, or with strong accents or mumble.
Far too many people, for far too long in our history, have been pushed to the margins. Seeing diversity, even for something as "nonimportant" as a game, makes me happy.
Hands-free driving will be a game changer in the deaf community
Parents sometimes view joking as a distraction or departure from the usual routine – a break from the serious side of parenting, but contrary to what many think, you don’t have to be a comic or jokester to make humor work for you and your children. In fact, it can be a parent's most useful tool for calming situations, encouraging proper behavior, and cementing the parent-child bond.
"Parental anger may seem like the right response when your child does something wrong. But, you run the risk of putting a wedge in your relationship," says Susan Newman, Ph.D., who is a social psychologist researching and writing about parenting concerns and family dynamics.
However, as you can see in the pictures, you have to know how to pick your spots.

"Consider a thoughtful, humorous exchange: laughter or a joke, but one not made at your child’s expense in a way that demeans him," Newman says. "Sarcasm and put-downs work against tightening your parent-child bond."
"Let’s say you send your child to his room or take your daughter’s cell phone away for two weeks. You are ultimately pushing a child away who already feels miserable because he broke a rule or your favorite bowl (or because he got caught). She’s stressed by the transgression that curtailed her privileges and may begin to harbor resentment toward her restricting parent."

So according to the psychologist, sometimes humor isn’t the answer. "Anything that puts your child in physical danger or seems to put his academic or social standing at risk calls for a serious chat or imposing restrictions."
But in so many instances, a lighter approach reduces both the parent’s and the child’s stress, and can also keep a situation from escalating as well as reduce a child’s feelings of regret or remorse over having done something inappropriate. Most importantly, however, humor underscores that you love your child despite any missteps on their part.

Injecting humor into a difficult situation doesn’t make you a pushover. It is a tool that can soften the rough parenting patches and preserve your connection with your child. Newman suggests catching yourself before you explode, and asking yourself, “How important is this misbehavior or accident in the scheme of your or your child's life?” Most of the time. the answer will probably be, not very. And the moms we see in the pictures seem to not only understand this, but also apply it to their everyday lives.

He finds it hard to communicate now but I managed to take this picture, a look that says 1000 words.
Oh, So Wholesome
If you decide that the indiscretion isn’t serious enough to warrant an actual punishment or talking to, Newman encourages trying these silly approaches instead (and she says you don’t have to be all that funny to do them):
- Act silly. Walk backward or abruptly stop speaking as a signal that you don't approve of whatever might be going on at the moment. Your children will laugh at you once they understand your action means you are not happy with the current behavior.
- Talk to your child in pig Latin. Or ask her to repeat back to you something you said in the language she’s studying in school or in Pig Latin.
- Swoop in. Pretend you’re an angel or part of a cleanup crew (if a mess has been created) to diffuse the situation and get help with cleanup.

- Get emotional, but not really. Make believe you are crying or sad, or do a dance and give it a name: “The Broken Vase Dance” or the “Not Going to Bed Dance.”
- Make up a jingle. Use it when your child might be acting unsuitably or is about to break one of your rules, and repeat it often. For example, bust out a tune when you see your daughter is about to go over her allotted nightly screen time. Or, sing when your son is about to touch an object he shouldn’t.
- Laugh at yourself. Do this when you make a mistake or do something boneheaded.

Blooming Love
We're not all naturally funny, but we can still foster situations for laughter to emerge. By changing the tempo, you deflect your child’s apprehension; using humor gives him a chance to rethink his actions instead of being upset with his parent’s reprimand or pouting over the grounding you deliver.

This Is What Happens When I Leave My 90-Year-Old Mother Alone In The Kitchen For Ten Minutes
When asked about their aspirations for their kids when they reach adulthood, roughly nine-in-ten parents say it’s extremely or very important to them that their children be financially independent and the same share say it’s equally important that their children have jobs or careers they enjoy.
About four-in-ten say it’s extremely or very important to them that their children earn a college degree, while smaller shares place a lot of importance on their children eventually becoming parents (20%) and getting married (21%).
And, as we can see, moms are ready to not only help their little ones get there, even if it means sacrificing for their success, but also make the most out of the twisty and bumpy ride.

This makes me miss my mom so much. Treasure moms and dads while they are still with you💗
Personally, I would have saved this for Sunday (Mother's Day), but you do you! Great post, lots of sweet and fun stuff.
I LOVE these lists but feel so awful that I don't do anything crafty!!! I asked my husband "what if our kids need costumes and I can't sew them?" He shrugged and said, "We have amazon now." But it's not the same!!
2. I believed in 2 of these stories. Felt good to read it all, though!:)
Funny how suddendly no more comments about ''I don't want children blah blah blah '' . Being a parent can be great also. Only by making an human being happy
