My little dog is 3.5 yrs old. I have asthma and sinus problems. Both have been pretty well controlled for years, especially asthma. Well, last night my sinus issues caused a very intense coughing fit ( gtoss, drainage, etc), like you cant get a breath at all, totally gasping, and you cough so hard it feels like your ribs are snapping. It's more like a massive coughing spasm or something. That caused asthma to flare up and made coughing even worse. Woke out of dead sleep at 5am with it. It can seem scary if you haven't seen it before.. My dog was with me (we sleep separate because hubby snores). Dog woke up of course, was a little freaked out, left the bedroom. I thought he just wanted to sleep where it was quiet. He actually went and jumped on hubby insistently to wait him up. The dog came back to me and was sticking to me like glue and being very sweet and trying so hard to make me feel better. He never been trained to get my hubby if this happens, because it hasn't happened since before pupper was born. He just did the exact right thing totally on instinct. He is a very good boy, and he got extra treats today!

Nikola knows when I'm having a migraine attack and he doesn't leave my side. He will put his forehead up against mine, gently kiss my chin (where it hurts the least), and often place his front right paw on my chest directly over my heart while staring at me with his huge brown eyes (he's a small white Cockerpoo). And then he will curl up and lay with me until I feel better. He's my best medicine ❤

Dogs seem to know when you are low or hurting or just having a bad day. I'm disabled and have 3 beautiful Huskies they will come and stand in front of me to help me stand or walk and I'm given a million loving cuddles every day. The youngest will find something he thinks is interesting stove it to me as a gift, lol which can be a bit of an issue of you're phobic of frogs and he's tried to give me a couple, fortunately for me one was mummified but the other jumped right at me, needless to say the screaming almost caused a visit from the police sigh
