I didn't expect to tear up so quickly in this post- but seeing someone run to the dog they thought they lost... oh my heart.

Sweetie looks like she knows this is one of the last times she'll be enjoying the sunshine, so full of nostalgia.

Did you meow ? I noticed that's how they try to understand what's wrong if a human meows or do other questionable acts.

Boomer should be proud! They should do this at shelters to help the pets get adopted.

it's a common practice to raise cheetah cubs with puppies as playmates. I think I heard that they do the same with race horse and goats.

"Shame on you"?? Seems a bit much don't you think? Maybe the pup is a service dog and is in it's full right to be there?? I think I'm just going to enjoy the picture and leave it up to you to place shame on people...

You really think that a puppy that young, stitting in a cart, that isn’t even wearing a leash or a vest is a service dog?

I'm VERY allergic to cats and I'm grateful people don't put their cats in the cart I will later use to buy stuff. Same goes for dogs and other allergy sufferer. Please be considerate of other people who have to live with a different reality than you. If it's a service animal, fine, but don't put him/her in the cart.

For those of you upset about dogs in stores, I'm betting that dog has no more germs than most of the people in the store, including YOU!!

I honestly don't understand all the fuss, like, do you imagine how many people take carts with hands that have been places? I can't imagine what kind of germs dog may transfer that human otherwise would be safe of..

Oh cmon people, I've seen hundreds of dogs at target. This good boi is perfectly fine because he's in the cart, and he's a small pupper. The reason why they say "no dogs allowed" at stores is so they won't run around the place ripping/chewing stuff up. They let service dogs in obviously because those people need them, but even then, who says a service dog isn't as germ-y as a regular dog? After all, they're both dogs...

Another reason most of you seem to overlook is that there are actual people who have a fear of dogs. Oh and possibly too, they don't want the dogs to pee or c**p all over the store. Ooooh or hey, how about something innocent triggers a dog that isn't trained to attack someone, god forbid a child. The rules are there for a reason and that reason isn't there for you to ignore!

I come to BP because the posts are fun and FOR THE MOST PART people don’t fight like children. Today is not one of those days. Yes it’s illegal to take pets in stores that sell food. No, service animals are not pets. This may be a dog in training, only the owner knows. Don’t fight between each other on here, talk to your local grocery store if it bothers you so much. There are people in my town that bring large, aggressive dogs that they can’t control into the grocery store, where the DO do their business near the cooler cases. Our store says they can only ask if it’s a service animal, if the person says yes, that’s it. If they say no, the store can ask them to leave. If our health department happens to be in the store, they can do something to the people that are in there without service animal vests on. Also, there are many many reasons for service animals other than to help the blind. PTSD, seizures, anxiety/ panic attacks, diabetes. Many others.

service dogs aren't just eyes for blinds, trained in a certain way to lead walking with opportune harnesses, it can be just a relief for less visible incapacitations like panic attacks or depression, so yes, this can be a very helpful service dogs, despite what rules says.

I really hope that the people bitching about the dog doesn't have a dog of their own.

Yes the dog is cute, but no it should not be in target. If you bring a dog into a facility that only allows service animals you are automatically faking a service dog which can land you in jail and/or lead to a big fine. Stop taking pets into non pet friendly places

Do you wipe down the cart after? Should I post pix of my pet cockroach at Target and show how happy she is? Oh, yes, it’s a she, and she is pregnant and might leave her egg sack in the shopping after... gross, ain’t it? Keep your pets out of grocery stores unless it’s a TRAINED SERVICE ANIMAL! It’s against federal law, and state law, and here in Los Angeles, county health codes to bring pets to places serve and sell food! And go to ADA website, “emotional support animals” are NOT SERVICE ANIMALS. People bring their pets to store and claims they are service animals are no different than lazy entitled aholes parking at handicap parking.

Shame on you! Dogs are not allowed at Target as at most of other grocery stores. Even service dogs are not allowed to ride in the shopping cart. Dog is cute, but you should leave it at home.

Poor dolphin locked in a tiny pool. Your dog was probably an interesting distraction.
