I create art about overcoming negativity and hardship by utilizing my knowledge of Photoshop and photography.

Art has always been a way for me to express my emotions and a sort of therapy to help deal with a very tough childhood. Drawing and art took me out of a not so great reality and gave me the opportunity to create my own. I have always been drawn to darker imagery and tones, and am very inspired by the tale of the underdog. For a long time it was very hard for me to express my feelings and kept much of it locked away inside.

As I grew into adulthood and triumphed over the negativity I found photography and a new way of creation and self-expression.

I love composing whimsical stories and characters which don't exist in the realm of our reality. My pieces are meant to be frail and showcase the emotion that we often try to push down into the depths of our souls. Time after time we are made to feel like we need to put on a mask and not show others what we are truly going through in our lives, and my work is meant to break through that stigma. My art may look dark and macabre but in the narrative I create for my characters, there is a light in the darkness, waiting to be found despite the hardships they are enduring.

I think this is who I saw staring back at me in the mirror in the 70s ;-)

A beautifully frail, fragile Gothic Susan Sarandon. Love it.

I am in love with this image. The Día de Muertos make-up is amazing and the model is stunningly beautiful.

It’s very interesting to see the comparison against the original photo. You should post more with the original if you have them.

Oh, that makeup can come off with a little baby oil. No need to look a mess.

Don't cry. Just find a camisole so you can finish getting dressed.
