I am crap at selfies. I came to them quite late in life and have never got the hang of them. I was devastated when I found that my wrinkles still showed in the photo, unlike all the pouting beauties you see all over the web… A friend helpfully suggested I could try taking a selfie in the dark – a tad unkind I thought. I tried the selfie pout and my wrinkles round my mouth just looked worse. I get the angle of the camera wrong, the lighting is wrong (and I am an artist for Pete’s sake) and all in all any selfie I attempt is a disaster. So can someone please explain to me why a four month old rescue puppy can produce the perfect selfie (complete with pout)? So good in fact that I have done further work on it – because being an artist you sort of have to don’t you?
