A while ago I posed the question, "What Makes You Really Angry?" here on Bored Panda. To be honest, I braced myself for a deluge of personal grievances... What I received, however, was a rather good outlook on our modern society. To me, it became clear that our anger, varied as it is, intertwines to form a map of societal concerns that are often topics of great importance.
As I said before, I wasn't quite prepared for the overwhelming surge of responses that poured into the thread. I would love to thank everyone for their answers and opinions!

It's depressing, but not really shocking. I was born, and spent the first 27 years of my life living all across the US. The quality and intelligence of the average american has decreased sharply in the 38 years i've been alive, while entitlement, willful ignorance and aggression have been steadily rising. Americans are brought up to believe that america is the greatest, bestest most number one-ingest country in the world despite so much evidence to the contrary. It's a $hit show, and the worse everything gets, the more people allow themselves to be distracted by unimportant bull$hit that plays on peoples outrage, so nefarious, damaging stuff like this can be maneuvered into place. It's embarrassing, it's shameful, but for anyone that's been paying attention it's also expected.

And this is why I'm THRILLED Issue 1 failed in Ohio yesterday. This November there is a vote to add reproductive rights to our ballot. The pro-lifers tried to circumvent Ohioans voting for it by raising the bar to passage. It is my hope Ohio will once again have safe, legal abortion again. No woman should be forced to bear a child that either threatens their health or is unable to provide for due to circumstances beyond their control.

This issue is to detract from real issues, like housing, wages and mass shootings. Get people riled up about a pea sized fetus and they lose their minds. On the other side, it has caused more women to stand up and be heard. They're trying to push us back in the kitchen but they're gonna get burned.

Yes we too can be as crowded as India. God I love crowds, long lines to get anything done, and general poor quality living due to overpopulation. All the extra competition for dwindling resources in a country that can barely maintain food and housing availability. Go Third World America! I can't wait!

It's like the USA government is trying to do everything opposite or contradictory from Canada. It really does seem like that, sometimes. Canada has all options here and legalized weed. Even though some states have legalized weed, the majority still have it illegal, including for medical purposes. Abortions are not only legal and available throughout Canada but are funded by the provincial health benefits. The USA just made it illegal, at all. Legal drinking age in Canada is 18/19. In the US it's 21 all over. Medically assisted dying is legal, under specific circumstances, in Canada. Just 11 States allow MAD. Js as something I've noticed.

So much this! I was just chatting with a guy from FB dating, and broke it off. Nothing bad, just wasn't feeling it. He said my health might be "more fragile than you yourself realize". Seriously? In the three weeks we texted, I had had.... a sinus infection, something I've been dealing with my whole life. Just wow.

Once again, you are completely misinformed-- Th Supreme Court rescinded a bad law-- which even RBG admitted was bad law--it was given back to the states control, where it should have been all along, constitutionally-- 50 years ago, a misapplication of the 14th Amendment (the Commerce Clause) was used to ram through-- under the Constitution, ANY rights not specifically enumerated belong to the States-- which is also why we have the right to defend ourselves using arms-- the concept of a Militia isn't possible without an armed citizenry.

I don't understand people who get a dog and chain them outside to never let them off it or let them inside but also never go out and spend time with it. Why the heck did you even want one if they're to be tied/chained 24/7???

I was bullied at my previous school, this year I changed schools and the people their are really nice to me but my old school still haunts me, so I can really relate to this. I told some of my classmates about it and they were really supportive about telling me how they ( the bullies) were super stupid and jealous of me. With bullying, you kinda have to go through it to really understand how bad it really is.

Nothing makes me angry anymore. I can't do anything with anger. I'm over it. I'm just incredibly disappointed, saddened, disgusted, and ashamed of most people. I'm sick of it all. People are just sad saps. I refuse to let anyone dictate to me about how I should feel. So, having said that, I'm going to go outside and tiptoe through the tulips. When I come back in, I'm going to bake some cookies. I hope everyone has the nicest day possible.

They are EVERYWHERE!
Racists, bigots, and misogynists are three good examples to get the ball rolling. People who let their feral offspring run riot through restaurants, cafes, pubs, and supermarkets, whose only parenting 'skill' is to shout 'stop it!' at the top of their voices. People who think that their religion gives them the right to look down on others, zealots who shout at you or blow you up, churches and preachers that hoard money as if it's going out of fashion. People who demonize or criticize others because of their race, gender, or lifestyle choices.
In a nutshell, anyone who intentionally says or does something that hurts another person, whether physically, emotionally, or otherwise.

We don't have a cost of living crisis, we have a greed crisis driven by a need for companies to always show higher profits. Stop letting them get away with the lie and start taxing excess profit.

I love that this isn't limited to pets, but covers all animals in human care. I hate how that often is limited to pets, to cute animals or to rare animals, as if the single individual would know or care if they're meant to end up in a stomach, or how many of them exist. They don't care, neither should we, as there's no sound reason to.

Belittling older people. Thinking older people ruined your life, personally or societally. Failing to acknowledge the incredible challenges older people have faced and dealt with, even if they didn't succeed too well. Making older people the bucket for your grievances. Treating older people badly in service industries, especially humiliating them on social media, which should be Elder Abuse IMO since it is done knowing they don't know what is being villified against them.

I'd love to complain about things but honestly, I'm not 100% educated in some of the things I want to vent about, and there's already so many depressing things pointed out in here.
So instead, I'm just going to remind everyone to stop scrolling for a few minutes, get a glass of water, and don't dwell too much on these things.
The world is an awful place, but one person isn't going to be able to fix it all overnight! Just remember to do your part, and try your best to (kindly) educate others; even though everyone here wants to change the world, and work together, we need to keep in mind that sometimes we need to focus on our mental health, too.
You're important, and amazing, and even if you don't have the time, resources, or energy to lead a protest or fight back every single moment, even the little things like picking up trash and being kind to strangers can stack up and make a huge difference!

Especially, like has happened in the USA recently, when the inflation is driven in very large part, by GREED. Pil companies posting record earnings. Banks posting record earnings, etc. Amazon posting record earnings. Inflation is being pushed by companies for whom it is not enough to post good profits enough to keep your investors happy, but instead keep raising prices (and thus inflation) that results in record earnings. Because the type of unfettered capitalism practice in the US is based ENTIRELY on greed with no consideration for anyone else who lives on the earth. Because GREED.

Other things that get me really upset, while attending music concerts: People who can't shut up and stop talking when the performers are on stage. Before, during intermission or after, no probem. But when the band is onstage, SHUT UP!!! Annoying fans who shout song titles, over an over, to the artists, in the hope that they will play them. Is that the only reason why you came to see the band? Just to hear that one song? And what if they don't feel playing it? I can recall Radiohead touring in 1997, after the success of OK Computer. After each song, the crowd kept shouting: «Creep! Creep!» but they didn't feel like playing it, at the time, and they didn't. After a few encores, the crowd kept asking: «Creep! Creep!» Untill an angry Thom Yorke came back on stage to yell at the mike: «F**k you! We're not gonna play it!» and walked off.

Careless drivers who cause injury and death
Wether driving too fast or under the influence of alcool, irresponsible drivers can cause huge damage among families and communities. News are full of tragic accidents that were caused by people who had too much to drink or were way over the speed limit. Driving a motor vehicle involves responsibility and sustained attention, if you find yourself unable to respect those, take a taxi. 64909495_2...c9a050.jpg
